Overflowing trash in common areas, a constant battle.
    Lori D.

Let me start off by saying I have lived here since day one, and I have had two wildly different experiences in the first year and a half, and the past year. When Watermark owned this place, it was absolute luxury and extremely well taken care of, until JVM took over. They came in strong and fixed a few things that had broken during the time the property was for sale, but it stopped there. Since JVM took over just under a year ago, they've brought a new meaning to "luxury living with a twist." The twist is that this place is no longer luxury at all. The only good things about living here are the residents that have become family and the location. I wouldn't believe any of the positive reviews you read, as the office has all staff members soliciting residents for positive reviews at all times. The walls are extremely thin, so thin that I can hear my neighbor sneezing through the wall or yelling at sports on the tv at all hours of the day and night. The furniture in the common areas has all been stolen and never replaced. Oh, and the "secure building" is anything but secure. The fob system is inside the elevator, so all someone has to do is sit in it and wait for the elevator to go to a resident floor and then get off. Keep in mind, there is also no call box to let guests in without having to go downstairs. The pool is green at least every other week, with algae growing on the sides. The hot tub is even more horrendous, looking and smelling like straight sewer water by Sunday evening most weekends. The pool heater has been "on backorder" since November 2020, while somehow other properties in the area are able to get them purchased no problem. The tables in the pool area are all broken and have yet to be replaced. The carpet in the hallway is covered in stains, mostly from animal feces and urine. The parking garage is constantly leaking from the ceiling, rendering multiple spaces unusable. Not to mention, they now charge a mandatory monthly fee for parking without even offering assigned spaces. The elevators are consistently down or being reserved for move ins. The landscaping at the pool was all ripped out at the beginning of spring and has yet to be replaced. They over communicate things that are seemingly not important, while failing to communicate extremely important things in a timely manner, like the week long testing of fire alarms. During the winter, I hope you don't like sleep. The fire alarms constantly go off at all hours of the night throughout the winter. While the apartments look nice on the surface, the longer you live here the more apparent the issues become. When paying for a luxury apartment, one would expect to actually receive luxury in return. Instead, when confronting the property manager, Tiffany, with issues and concerns, she gets defensive and raises her voice at residents instead of apologizing and offering a solution. I renewed my lease this year despite some of my concerns and frustrations, and I whole heartedly regret that decision after just a couple of short months. This place is going downhill fast, so do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. JVM will lure you in to get you to lease, but once you're a resident they don't care about anything but getting more money from you and not spending it to resolve and issues throughout the property.

This is a great apartment. Usually, apartments charge more to live on the top floor, but Sand Creek…read moreWoods charges less. I like having a full size washer and dryer in my apartment. It's a safe area. Very quiet. I almost never hear my neighbors. Once my neighbor was playing loud music....Someone asked her to turn down the music and she did. That was the end of that. The office staff is terrific and the maintenance staff does a good job too. I've had to ask maintenance to come back on two or three occasions because they hadn't completed a job correctly. They've always come back immediately with a positive attitude and no complaints. The staff jumps on maintenance issues immediately, unlike almost every other apartment that I've lived in. They are passionate about making Sand Creek Woods a great place to live. Downsides: There isn't much storage space (closets/cabinets). The kitchen is small. The rent used to be a great deal, but the rent has gone up a ton the last three years (about 9% each year). I don't have any pretty neighbors. :) It's not a young complex, mostly middle-aged residents. Having said that, the positives far outweigh the negatives, I love living here. It's the best apartment that I've had!

AC not working and fixed same day before I got home from work. Accommodating and understanding. Will be an easy decision when it comes time to renew the lease for 3rd year.

The…read moreentryway was very tastefully decorating with a slight bend toward contemporary with modern color paletes. The Property Manager was kind, polite & helpful. I was able to take my friend on a common room tour that represented SouthPointe in a very positive light. First, everything was so clean & well maintained. The Community Room was huge with every kitchen appliance needed for a family or friend gathering. Across the hall was the Bistro Room. The countertop was full with coffee-making conveiences for a brew. The extended room is small & cozy with 2 comfortable lounge chairs and a huge flat screen t.v. This would be a great spot to have a friend over to watch movies. On another floor is a complete computer room with Wifi. Then, my favorite... the rooftop balcony. This extension is off of the 2nd or 3rd floor, It is a large rooftop balcony you can easily get to from inside. It is situated to look into the trees & lush areas. The furnishings offer plenty of chairs, tables & large umbrellas to either be alone or with a group of people. It's fun to drive by & see the tops of the umbrellas peeking out & know what's up there. All in all I was very impressed. I saw a varied representation of residents at each of my visits. Mothers with children, singles with pets, special needs individuals & different races. All spoke well of living there. One young person mentioned it was very quiet, which may or may not be their highlight, but as an elderly woman... it suits my pace just fine. I have not been able to see inside an apartment as of yet, because I am not a tenant, but what I have seen makes me want to live there.
