When discussing our dog's condition and long-term care, he reportedly responded in a sarcastic and flippant manner, saying "that won't be long," which is completely inappropriate given the seriousness of the situation. What's more concerning is that my wife had to request a different veterinarian multiple times before her concerns were taken seriously. No client should have to advocate that hard just to feel comfortable during a medical appointment for their pet. Even after being asked to step away, Dr. Smith re-entered the room later in the visit. When my wife politely asked him to leave due to the discomfort already caused, he reportedly laughed and dismissed the situation under the guise of "trying to apologize." That kind of response only made matters worse and showed a lack of awareness and professionalism. We've been clients of this clinic for years, and while the service has often been underwhelming, today's experience crossed a line. Veterinary care requires not just medical competence, but empathy, communication, and respect--especially when discussing serious or lifelong conditions. My dogs were at a place for boarding while I was out of town for a week. One of my dogs was rapidly…read moredeclining, and the boarding place moved my dogs (with my permission) to this place. They monitored my dogs the whole time. There is someone there the whole time. My older dog lost a tooth while he was there, and when we picked him up, they gave us the tooth in a ziplock bag. My dog went down hill rapidly when we got home from our trip. So a week later, I took him back to this place. And sadly, it was time to put him to sleep. But I got that extra week with him in between boarding and putting him down. I have since gone back with my other dog. And they are taking great care of my dog. They diagnosed allergies with him and gave me a 2 treatment plans to choose from. They also cleared up pink eye for him. And have given him his shots. I especially love that the place is clean, the people are friendly, and it seems organized and not overly busy. So many vets these days are so busy. They have 10 dogs or animals waiting to be seen, and 1 vet who goes from one to the next. This place seems more like 1-2 dogs in the lobby, and vets to see them. I am so glad to finally have found a vet I like in the Wichita area. I think this is the 5th one I've visited in the year that I have lived in south-central Kansas. Finally found a vet I love!

I took my dog here for the water treadmill years ago and it was helpful. Now I have another dog…read morewith severe degenerative joint problems who needs the treadmill. But when I took him the water smelled so bad that after 2 baths he still smelled awful! It's dirty. The rehab people would not call me back when I called to ask if they would clean it, even though I'm a long time client. BUT thank goodness I found a different rehab clinic in Andover (Countryside) with a water treadmill. It is clean and they have a Physical Therapist who is qualified to work with people and does that half of the week. It is SO much better!!
