We have taken her to Manhattan and had her examined and basically were told it was what it was. Other vets agreed. She recently took a turn for the worse and was to the point she could barely walk. Now this dog really never hit the floor as my mom carried her everwhere but my mom was devasted and very concerned for the quality of life she was going to have. This dog is her heart and soul so we wanted to try everything we could before making "that decision". We had both heard about Dr. Solomon so she made an appointment. He checked the dog over carefully and told my mom he could do a surgery to fix her legs. The dog had her surgery in January and now she is a demon child. She runs, plays and prances like the diva she always has been. My mom had such great results I took my dog who had torn his ACL and had surgery done at another veterinarian but was not healing. We found a severe internal infection in the surgery site and after 2 rounds of very powerful antibiotics, the decision was made to undo the ACL surgery. Dr. Solomon performed the surgery and my dog is doing fantastic. He was just released to normal activity. Although my dog's knee is not perfect due to scarring from the surgeries and infection, he is pain-free, happy and (mostly) a four legged dog. I highly recommend Dr. Solomon and his practice. They are kind, helpful and very knowledgeable. My dog is a rescue and could get very grumpy when messed with. I always put a muzzle on him when examining the knee. He has never offered to bite, but the growls are enough to make me cautious. Dr. Solomon got down on the floor with him and talked to him on each visit. On our visit yesterday, no muzzle was needed, no growls, no anxiety. There were treats however! I know this review is long but I couldn't make it shorter and say what I wanted to. I LOVE THEM!

Money is obviously the driving factor here…read more I won't get into specifics, but the final straw was them recommending a pretty large life-changing decision for my pet. I fortunately got a second opinion who also felt it was a little extreme, so we avoided the procedure and as my new vet predicted, the problem went away. I shudder thinking I almost put my pet through a major procedure for no reason. This is not the first time I have had them perform sloppy work, but definitely the biggest thing (besides euthanasia) that I've considered for my pets. Good riddance, and I'm continually surprised at how much more professional and affordable my new vet is. Further away, but worth it.

Rushed him to an emergency clinic (over a thousand dollars later) was told it was an an abscess. Regular house call vet from Valley Center either over booked or didn't want to get dirty couldn't make a home visit (to follow up) and within 2 weeks my dog was blind. Checked on him before work and noticed he stumbled. Upset, called VC vet which "couldn't fit him in". Called Sedgwick and they made time for him. Diagnosis Lymphoma. Doc at Sedwick went above and beyond. Spent a long time explaining options, non judge mental, sat on the floor with me, consoled me. I wanted to take him home because he was stable at that time. Wanted a little more time so I took him home. He had several good days but stopped eating. Took him in today and he peacefully left this earth. A difficult, heartbreaking situation, was made easier by the compassion of the group. Hugged by staff and not made to feel guilty. Sammy is at peace and I will get there.
