Apple Medical Group in Menifee, CA is a joke! I've gone through 3 primary doctors and each one was a complete surprise. I guess I'm just supposed to know when they change doctors. The receptionist, who is someone I'm not familiar with either, calls me about 3 or 4 weeks ago letting me know Dr. Schoonmaker wants to see me.... ?....ok I thought I saw Dr. Kingsley?? Not anymore. Ok, appointment scheduled for Monday April 10th. Fast forward to Friday April 7th... I get a call letting me know that I need to get a hold of my insurance and change my doctor over to Schoonmaker, as it shows Kingsley. At this point I'm EXTREMELY irritated, I've had this appointment booked for how long? and you're calling me on a Friday letting me know I need to take care of this when my appointment is on Monday. I get a hold of my insurance on Monday morning and they cannot change it to Dr. Schoonmaker because he is still pulling up under the prior address he was at. My insurance agent called the receptionist at Apple Medical (Menifee) and explained that and they still wouldn't allow my insurance to use him because of that. I couldn't believe it! The receptionist used what minimal IQ she had left to call me and try to book an appointment! *The ONLY 3 people that ever knew what they were doing there were, Nicole, Brandon, & Gisele

    WARNING TO ALL PATIENTS: Check your medical records on the portal immediately…read more PA Valencia incorrectly added diagnoses to my chart that I have NEVER been diagnosed with: Afib, Congestive Heart Failure, Hypothyroidism, Hypertension, and Insulin use. None of these are true. When I contacted PA Valencia directly, she promised me these errors would not follow me and would not appear on my chart. That was a complete lie. They followed me to my OB appointment where Congestive Heart Failure showed up coded in my records. This is dangerous. If I were ever brought into an ER, staff could administer insulin or withhold life-saving procedures based on false information. When I tried to get it corrected the way California law requires, I was met with nothing but runaround. No one can give me the Privacy Officer's name or contact information, even after multiple requests. I had to search the internet for Vicki Johnson who is their privacy officer. No one will identify who supervises this PA. Christina or Danielle in Medical Records promises callbacks that never come, or calls four hours after the scheduled time. No apology. No accountability. The doctor has never once reached out. Then they had the nerve to tell me to call my OB office myself and have them erase the Congestive Heart Failure from their records. That is also against the law. The originating office is legally responsible for correcting errors they made. You do not get to pass that off to another provider. To make it worse, they DELETED entries from my chart instead of following the legally required process. Under California law and HIPAA, corrections to medical records must be marked as an error, with a date and a signature. You cannot simply delete. What they did is illegal and a serious violation of medical record integrity. This medical office has lied to me repeatedly. They made these mistakes and by law they are required to fix them properly. They have done none of that. This is not just poor customer service. This is a patient safety issue bordering on malpractice. There is zero supervision of this PA and zero urgency to correct a legal medical record error that could cost someone their life. Do not trust this office with your health. I would not trust them with my worst enemy. You've been warned and if you continue to go- you're part of the problem.

    This is for the Menifee location. A few reviews below talk about the Murrieta location…read more... I was assigned Dr. Atiga as my new primary care provider from my insurance as of summer 2026. After one appointment I would say his services and care are average. You can tell this office gets bogged down with simple issues, but his staff and him were quick with submitting labs, imaging, and prescriptions. The clinic is very up to date with using the online portal/app so you can quickly review your paperwork and message the provider. The only concerns I have is that sometimes it takes 2-3 voicemails to get a hold of someone, they are very adamant about you filling out paperwork via the portal prior to your appointment, but then you arrive and still fill out similar paperwork..., and lastly, as mentioned above, due to a lot of patients it feels like the medical team is indifferent when it comes to patients. I think this is medicine practices everywhere because people go to urgent care, ERs, doctor offices, etc. with issues that can be self-treated which then ruins the experience for people with more troubling symptoms/issues. I will update this as my care continues.

Scheduled an appointment and showed up at the scheduled time (4:00), not 3:45 early like they asked, but this was due to traffic on the 215 that resulted in a 1 hour drive from north Temecula to Menifee. I walked in and was eventually by Rita, the receptionist, that my "provider", Cassandra, was refusing to see me and I had to reschedule. I asked multiple times to speak with her or the person that made the decision but was refused this option. There was no consideration of the reason I was being seen or that I had sat in traffic that I was not in control of as the reason I was not early for my appointment as they asked. The service here has completely gone down the drain with his expansion. Dr Atiga used to see everyone with a smile but now I feel like a number only, I am a bill due for them or money. Eventually, after I called the Murrieta location and asked for a supervisor, I was allowed to speak with the Supervisor at Menifee. Rita pulled a trashy excuse and claimed I never asked to speak with a supervisor previously. She is a gross excuse of patient care. Now, it should be known that after I finally got to speak with the supervisor, at 4:20 pm, Jason, the other PA saw me and all was handled, but it should have NEVER, come to me having to call another location and demand to speak with a supervisor to be seen. This is not a joke, is it time to find a new PCP. I am not paying good money for insurance to be treated like garbage by this receptionist. Dr Atiga, feel free to call me. I'd be happy to tell you more in depth about how your employees are treating the patients or customers or the reason you have a practice.

    This has been one of the most traumatic experiences of my life. I broke my ankle. I told Dr. Krieg…read morethat my main goal was to get back to work as soon as possible. I am on a single income and cannot lose my job. He stated he could do a surgery on Wednesday and that I could be back at work on Monday. On January 14, I had the surgery. Dr. Krieg did not speak with me after the surgery. I have been trying to get in touch with him regarding concerns and pain since January 14 (so for over a week) with no luck. I can only speak with Marissa, the physician assistant. It takes days to get a call back, and when I finally can speak to someone, my concerns are dismissed and I'm told that people don't usually have questions after surgery. I am still not back at work because the office will not fill out the forms I gave them from my office that would authorize a return to work. My pain medication ran out Monday. Dr. Krieg authorized a refill, but the staff will not complete a pre-authorization to allow my insurance to cover it, despite me telling them I'm in pain to the point I can't sleep or function normally. I feel completely dehumanized by this whole experience. I agreed to surgery in the hopes that I could return to work. Now, I'm in more pain than I was before the surgery. I can't get in contact with Dr. Krieg or anyone who is willing to address my concerns. I feel completely dehumanized that I had a serious surgery which I am experiencing side effects from. I don't know what happened in my own body.

She is awesome. Patient, listens and is so helpful. The staff has been good to me, and they have a sense of humor. They answer the phone, which is more than other offices, based on reviews I have read. They are also very responsive to pharmacy calls, or refill needs. I really like this office and the folks who work there. HOWEVER, my problem now is that I have cancer and the place PrimeCare uses for cancer treatment is the WORST. For that reason alone I may have to move to another group. But if not for that, I am truly appreciate of the great care I have received here.

I went to the Kaiser pharmacy to pick up my medication, checked in as instructed, and patiently waited 20-30 minutes. As I sat there, I watched almost everyone who had been waiting get called until the waiting area was nearly empty. Concerned that my name may have been missed, I walked up to the counter to ask about my prescription. The employee looked up my medical record number and casually told me the pharmacy system had crashed and that there was nothing they could do. I was simply told to come back tomorrow. No one apologized for the wait. No one came into the waiting room to inform patients about the system issue. No one attempted to offer another solution or even acknowledged how frustrating the situation was. I work in healthcare, so I understand that technology fails. System outages happen. What I don't understand is the lack of communication, empathy, and basic customer service. Those things don't require a working computer. Every day, I care for patients and do everything I can to make them feel seen, heard, and supported--even when circumstances are beyond my control. I know what compassionate patient care looks like because I strive to provide it every single day. Walking away from this experience, I couldn't help but feel dismissed and forgotten. This wasn't just about not getting my medication. It was about the way patients were treated. A simple apology, a clear explanation, or someone taking a moment to communicate with everyone waiting would have made all the difference. I expected better from an organization that prides itself on patient-centered care. I sincerely hope this feedback reaches leadership because no patient should leave feeling like they don't matter.
