It turns out the acrylic paint they used on their foam was not that great. I've been painting it myself with silicone roof paint, but the leaks finally caught up to my efforts this past winter. We chose 99 Restoration because of their good reputation, and they did not disappoint. Tyler was helpful and responsive to questions. They waited for the right weather to do the best job possible. The polyurea lining on top of the new foam roof seems super-durable, and I feel I can sleep peacefully while I'm listening to the rain fall on our roof. I had a terrible experience with Andy's painting. Prior to starting the job, I emphasized to the…read morecrew that we had recently installed new flooring in our home and that I was concerned about protecting the floors. I was assured that the floors would be covered during the duration of the project to ensure protection. Floor covering is specified in our contract but was not completed. Our floors were not covered. Instead, masking tape was placed on the floor in sporadic areas. I discussed this with our project manager Kris and the painting crew after realizing that they weren't going to cover the floors and again re-emphasied my concerns, however the floors were still not covered. The tape job was not adequate, and paint got all over the stairs and flooring. The crew attempted remove the paint using an abrasive orbital buffer and a sharp hand tool. This caused multiple steps to be scratched and gouged. The crew caused $622.08 worth of damage to our new flooring. Andy's website states "We perform the work. We do not subcontract our painting work. All our painters are employed by Andy's painting." The original painters and our project manager Kris both informed me on the first day that the crew were indeed sub-contractors. The painter said that it was only his second day working with Andy's. Obviously, this was frustrating and a willful misrepresentation by Andy's. We did not expect or agree to have the job subcontracted. Especially by someone who lacked the skill to complete the job. Areas that were not to be painted received paint. Including the stair risers, handrail and doors. The handrail was even painted a different color without my consent or prior knowledge. The lack of attention to detail was astounding. We had to babysit the entire project. I had to ask multiple times to have simple tasks like filling nail holes or having walls textured completed. All of these items were agreed to in our contract. However, there were constant excuses from the crew and attempts to cut corners. I was told "you probably don't need 2 coats of paint" and "you can't see those holes." ect. It was tiresome to have to repeatedly insist that they complete the job as we had agreed. The first crew was fired by the project manager after 2 days. In total, 3 different crews worked on our project trying to get it right. On the very first day I was told that the job would be completed in 1 day. The job ended up taking 5 days. The doors were painted using a sprayer in our driveway. The driveway was not protected properly and there was white paint sprayed all over our driveway. The doors were initially put back on wet causing the paint to be damaged, door hinge pins upside down, missing screws ect. The crew does not arrive on time. They were at least 30 minutes late on 4 different occasions. Multiple crew members told me that Andy's will hire anyone and that they don't check references or require any demonstration of proficiency or skill prior to be hired. Overall, it was a bad experience. I was expecting a much more professional experience and result. Andy's did agree to pay for the damage and did some additional work on removing the paint from our stairs and flooring. I would not recommend hiring Andy's Painting.

Tile selection is great and we found an option that worked with our existing interior colors. Ryan, Joslyn and staff are knowledgeable and helpful. Project started as scheduled and ended as expected. We chose the dust free option for removing the existing floor tile and are glad we did. The installers, David and Joseph are skilled and take pride in their work. We are very pleased with the outcome and have received several compliments. A new floor really changes the look of a house.

I am selling my house, and the inspector found a problem with my roof. I needed to get it repaired before closing on the sale, but the rainy season had arrived and all the contractors were swamped. I called Tom Nordstrand at Southwest Roofing because he was highly recommended on Angie's List. Tom responded to me on the same day I called and gave me a bid. His very competent crew started the work the next day and finished within 2 days even though rain kept interrupting. He showed me lots of pictures of the roof to explain to me exactly what needed correction. Then he called the house inspector to discuss his plan of action to get the buy-in from the inspector so that the re-inspection would be easy. I have always dreamed of finding such a responsive contractor, and now my dream has come true. Southwest Roofing is a small business, and I firmly believe in supporting small businesses because of their contribution to the economy in providing jobs. During a recent heavy rain storm, I noticed a lot of water coming in through an air vent in the kitchen and drips around the edge of a skylight. I called Tom on a Wednesday. He came out Thursday for an estimate. I called several other roofers but Tom was the first to come out. I was impressed with his friendly attitude and knowledge. He went on the roof and found the problem. He took pictures and also pics of some possible future trouble spots. He gave me the total cost of repair that I found extremely fair. I then called the other roofers to cancel their appointments. Tom showed up the next day and fixed all the problems at the agreed upon price. We have attempted to use Thomas for 3 or 4 estimates in the last 6 months. Every time he agrees to provide an estimate. Every time it goes for weeks, and he pushes us around creating new excuses every time. If you can't make time for an estimate, DON'T AGREE to provide one. A simple "I'm too busy, thanks for the offer," would be much better than pushing us off after agreeing to assist. WE even agreed on PAYING for the estimate, and still got pushed around. read more

Anyhow he looked at my roof and then said he'd send me an estimate and I never heard from him again. I've looked at the reviews and it's odd that he has some good ones. Turns out we had issues with our roof that not many wanted to deal with. Another roofer who came to look at our roof told us why we weren't getting any follow-up and then he didn't follow-up either. The problem with contractors in this city is a lot of them are flakes. They don't show up or they don't follow through. I won't say he's a bad roofer. I would just hope that contractors could be a little more professional overall.

His crew protected the underlying property, and cleaned up afterwards so it was literally impossible to tell his crew had been there - except of course for the beautiful new roof. He cooperated, without displaying frustration, as we worked through some minor issues with my bank authorizing his payment. We would highly recommend Luis and Sundance Roofing. They're THE BEST!

Our roof failed two inspections by the State inspector. CID has helped us throughout this horrendous mess with this company. BBB has our pictures of the destruction this roofing company did to our home. Paiz has another company started Custom Roofing Consulting and Construction. IT IS NOT a BBB Accredited Business. We do have an Attorney and soon going after them for Fraud. The State inspector who came out last winter took pictures of a big burn on our roof. The roofers didn't replace fire rating coating and actually hammered nails close to the smokestack. Our home could've burnt down if it wasn't for the State inspector finding this. We immediately contacted Robert Paiz, and he said it was caused by our smokestack. We had another roofing company come out and they verified what Paiz unskilled roofers did and fixed our burnt roof area. This cost us $2.400 to fix. Of course, Robert Paiz paid Zero. So much more to this nightmare roofing job. If you do any work with this company, be careful. Document everything and don't trust Kate his office manager we find her very dishonest.

I've had to hire an ACTUAL roofer to take a look at things, and it turns out that this dude (JT) used the wrong material in the wrong places and it was also the wrong amount. He has no clue what he's doing. He's just another dishonest contractor who will steal from you. That's why I'm currently suing him for breach of contract and the price of a new roof ($25,000). The company he had when I met him has since been shut down, along with a pet shop he used to run and 'Tex Mex' is his latest dog-and-pony show. Everything about this kid is fake. Don't trust him like I did.
