The customer service is amazing, if you are beginners they are willing to walk you through everything and give you great knowledge. Will be back every single time we need something for our aquarium. Will definitely be going here once we start our Saltwater tank. The are expanding soon and we cannot wait to see how it looks. They always have this amazing Puffer fish, it's a must see (See attached)

Driving into the store from Surprise where I live, no concern or sincere of any urgency. Instead, I was treated with very poor customer service. I was expected to wait for days to hear back from someone. After 2 days of calling the store and being frustrated. I was told I had to wait until the next week in order for the guy who makes them, to come back from out of town and remake a new one. The store had a whole basket of the same item "Except those were double magnets" and I only purchased the single magnet". To make things right and avoid customer frustration. No one offered to upgrade or anything else, I had to ask options to just upgrade and be done with it. What a JOKE, I was offered a discount to upgrade. Basically, around the same price if I'd just purchased the double magnet mount. Pay Double The $$ for a product that only lasted 1.5 months. I DON'T THIONK SO. I only purchased it because I was told the store made these. I was trying to support a small company. Not After This. I'm done dealing with this place. Completely different attitude when addressing a defective product they sell. Unless your dropping $$$ the day of the visit, expect to get bare minimum for customer service when there is an issue. They won't be getting any $$ from me after this encounter.

i am getting my son into the wonder hobby of fish! hes 3 so ITS TIME!…read more We had just left one other aquarium that was, WOOF, and im so glad i stopped in here. First, the staff are young and super personable! quirky and friendly. one staff was particularly sweet, Courtney. She let my 3 year old bother her. he gets so excited "LOOK LOOK" and she played along, i really appreciated that. The fish looked so great and healthy They only had 2 bettas BUT they were in small tanks, not cups, and well cared for! one was in a planted tank, i am sure it was a red hellboy, it was a beautiful set up and great display. please sell me the whole display. the other was a remarkable black betta! i GREATLY appreciated their respect of all living fishes and they are really raising the bar for betta care in retail environment. When we are ready to buy, ill be back to courtney, she and i planned out a great 10 gallon community tank! im stoked. The also have meds on hand which, we all know, can be hard to find good products and great prices!

I purchased premixed saltwater for my reef tank from Artistic Aquariums in Chandler yesterday at…read moreapproximately 3:45 p.m. This morning, while preparing to perform maintenance before leaving town tomorrow, I tested the premixed water with my calibrated digital refractometer. The salinity measured only 1.021, which is below safe level for a reef tank. Because I needed to use the water before my trip, I called the store around noon to ask what salinity they mix their water to and whether I could receive a refund or replacement if I was accidentally sold the wrong solution. I went to the store so I could demonstrate that I had not used the water and to work toward a reasonable solution before discarding it. The employee working that day was new, working alone, and genuinely did everything she could to help me. She was kind, patient, and professional throughout the entire interaction. Unfortunately, she had very limited authority and had to repeatedly contact the owner for direction. My disappointment is not with her, it is with the ownership and leadership. While there, we tested the water together. Their refractometer read approximately 1.024, while my calibrated tester consistently read 1.021-1.022. I recalibrated my tester in front of her and received the same results. I wasn't demanding confrontational or disrespectful. I tried to compromise. I requested either a refund or, at the very least, a store credit since the product was less than 24 hours old and unusable for my aquarium. The owner declined both requests. Instead, I was offered only two options as a "one-time courtesy": * Dump the water and refill the container with more of the same water that day. * Return within one week for a replacement. Neither option was workable because I was leaving town the following day. I even asked if the one-week timeframe could be extended since I would be away, but the answer was no. I also asked to speak directly with the owner. I was told he was too busy and would call me later. What makes this even more frustrating is that the store has a posted 14-day return policy, to which should apply to this product per the small print, and this purchase wasn't even 24 hours old. The one-week limitation I was given did not appear to align with the store's posted policy or with what I believe is reasonable customer service. To verify my equipment wasn't the issue, I stopped by Kona Reef and tested their premixed saltwater with my calibrated tester. Their water measured 1.025, confirming that my tester was reading accurately. This isn't really about an $8 purchase. It's about accountability, consistency, and standing behind the products you sell. I made every reasonable effort to find a fair compromise, but I left without a workable solution. If you value customer service and ownership that stands behind their products, I would encourage you to consider this experience before choosing to do business here.

I was recently contacted by David Fails, the store manager, about a potential job opportunity…read more Before considering anything, I asked to see the store's current animal setups and husbandry standards. What I was shown were very minimal enclosures with little to no enrichment. This does not reflect modern, welfare-focused reptile care, which prioritizes proper substrate, enrichment, and environments that allow for natural behaviors. When I asked further questions about their standards, I did not receive clear or transparent answers. Instead, the conversation quickly became unprofessional. Rather than addressing concerns about animal care, I was met with dismissive and inappropriate responses from the store manager (included in screenshots). This experience raised serious concerns about both the level of care and the professionalism behind this business. There are many reptile keepers and shops that prioritize proper, up-to-date husbandry and genuinely care about the animals they work with. Based on what I saw and experienced, I would strongly advise others to do thorough research and consider supporting businesses that clearly demonstrate proper animal care and professionalism.

He immediately evaluated both systems, identified the problems, and took corrective action to restore the aquariums to a healthy and stable condition. Once Greg took over, no additional corals were lost--a direct reflection of his extensive knowledge, careful attention, and proactive approach to aquarium care. The improvement in both aquariums has been remarkable. Greg carefully monitors the water quality, recognizes potential concerns before they become serious problems, and takes the time to explain what he is doing and why. He is dependable, honest, responsive, and genuinely cares about the health and well-being of every fish and coral in his care. What impresses me most is the peace of mind I now have knowing that my aquariums are being maintained by someone who is exceptionally knowledgeable and treats them as though they were his own. Finding someone this trustworthy, experienced, and dedicated is extremely rare. I recommend Greg and Arizona Reef Aquarium Service without hesitation.
