I joke it sometimes sounds like a salon as they blow dry the freshly made batch of paint onto the samples I bring to color match. They carry different brands than Home Depot - I presume more professional ones. I got the Purdy extension pole for painting, and it works like a charm with the Purdy roller with the quick click) and rather abysmally with the Home Depot brand Wooster (that I bought because Sherwin Williams already closed for the day). Andreas said I would be treated like family and wow the employees all are able to look me up without asking for a phone number or anything by the second visit. I'm glad that they made me feel at home and are so helpful giving tips with all my painting woes and needs - it'll definitely be my go to spot in Houston!

My electrician called Tuesday and Wednesday ready to begin working. Sara likes manipulating words. For instance, Monday or Tuesday it should leave Dallas. Wednesday or Thursday it should get to the warehouse. Thursday or Friday it should be delivered. Friday between 11 and 11:30 it should be delivered. It is 2:30 now. At 2:00 some delivery person called about our address. He stated that the range was still at the warehouse. In every case where two days were given it was always the second day. Dealing with Chuck the salesman solved no problems. He did not expedite the process or attempt to provide a solution. Only empty promises. Now it looks like I have to postpone my electricians afternoon time since I am positive it will not come. By the way, the 'out of stock' one we replaced with a more expensive model. I believe this is a deliberate attempt to defraud the customer and whether done by Sara or Whirlpool it looks suspicious.

We recently sent a client that we met with for several hours to select the clients perfect countertops selection only to be told they will no longer sell to builders. They gave us a quote at the time of the slab selection and when the fabricator called the have the slabs delivered they increased the price by $1200.00. We spoke to them and showed them the quote they issued and they refused to honor the quote. Stating they no longer will sell to builders or remodelers only to fabricators. As a member of the custom builders council in Houston. I will make sure that all custom builders in houston and designers know they can no longer do business with Arizona granite and Tile. They have cost our business and our client $, time and forced to go elsewhere to select materials. Save yourself time and and money. Go somewhere else to pick your materials.

My house however, being constructed mostly of wood, and having seen some sixty plus years on this earth, has recently demanded that a certain amount of cosmetic care be performed. OK, it's just siding and shouldn't be too hard to find....once again my assumptions concerning the workings of the world have pr oven to be completely incorrect. Three weekends of banging my head against the walls of box-stores and "contractor only" lumber yards lead me to this little gem of an establishment. From the outside it doesn't look like much, but inviting probably isn't a motif to be expected from folks who sell long planks of wood. Once through the doors things aren't anymore easy on the eyes, but the fantastic assortment of construction related odds and ends is something to behold. There were fasteners for the gutters that I had assumed had fallen out of production years ago, and copper flashing for the front door that I purchased just because I'd never seen it before. Aside from product, the folks working there didn't seem to mind that I had no real idea of what I was looking for...an attitude that had been sorely missed in recent encounters. No one minded that the only information I could provide was a rough sketch of my siding profile, improvised on a post-it. They answered with actual samples of the profiles available...which was pointless because they knew exactly what was needed based on the neighborhood my home was located in. While the process of actually loading the lumber into my vehicle seemed a bit confused and haphazard, little time was wasted and the transaction left me with more than I managed to accomplish in several previous weekends' time. HGTV designer craziness this place is not, but for the practical homeowner trying a bit of the old DIY this place is worth a stop.

They will deliver it for $100, I offered to pay that and have them deliver it to their own yard as a way around and I was told it was impossible. So come in at 4:10, knowing they close at 5, have to wait at the counter to get served for 20 mins, then I'm told the yard closes at 4:30 so can't collect today and will have to come back in the morning. Considering it's a lumber yard, the yard actually being open till 5, or just closing at 4:30, or mentioning it on their opening times would make sense. Turn up in the morning at 6:40, to be first through the gate at 7, to only wait 15 mins to even have my paper work looked at to pull the order. It's a terrible service. I use this place when I'm in a pinch, now I will just avoid at all costs. Doesn't matter who you are or how much you spend (I'm a contractor that spends 80-100,000 a year now else where) , they are not interested in decent customer service. Do yourself a favour and look around for a different supplier. Make this your last option.
