I had so much fun at the event, I couldn't wait to get back, and what a great way to spend Sunday Funday! This industrial complex is located next to the Missouri Pacific train yard, and it boasts multiple warehouse buildings. Each building offers something different, from a cheerleading/dance studio, print shop, restaurants, breweries, wineries, and more. Most of the buildings adorn murals painted by local artists, expressing the vibe and warmth of an artists and locally owned business park. There is something for everyone here.

There is a small man made pond with ducks and some turtles. There is a little food vending machine where you can feed the ducks. The beautiful huge tree took over the center of the courtyard. There was live music, face painters, and an ice skating rink. We could not get our grandkids off the ice as they were having a blast. There were plenty of photo opportunities near the tree and by Santa's sleigh. Santa arrived and then after a 10 second countdown the tree was lit up! Then the highlight of the event a fireworks show! We were expecting 5 minutes of fireworks but to our surprise the show lasted for about 20 minutes or longer. This show rivaled any fourth of July celebration. The finale was awesome! Great job Galleria and Bee Caves for hosting this wonderful event.

This is a really lovely shopping centre right along the highway in Austin, which is fairly easy access and has a great location of Kung fu Tea, in fact one of my favourites in the whole state. What's great about this Plaza is that it has all kinds of stuff here, like everything you can imagine, and that really works well. It's hot here for much of the year, so try and park close to your business if you're overheating. Not much shade here either so your car might get hot, but never as hot as Barbie. What's less great about this Plaza is finding parking spots here, especially at some times on some days. But I love it and it's a great Plaza visually as well, with a nice design, so great job to them.

It is a long and typical strip mall with a bunch of different stuff that you might want to visit when you're in Austin. My tanning salon is here and a really nice bagel shop is here too, along with a whole host of other businesses that might appeal to you. Parking can be tricky, and even moreso in certain parts of the plaza, but generally speaking it's a good Plaza, and gets the job done, even though your car will get very hot in this lot in summer.

The Backlot is a community space used for seating at the area restaurants, pop-up marketplaces, live music and other events. Being in the heart of the drag it is a great area for students and others in the community to meet and enjoy Austin with all it has to offer. The pop-up markets provide a great opportunity for local vendors to sell their goods. I recently attended a fun pop-up at the Backlot and later dined at Symon's Burger Joint. The Backlot has ample picnic tables and seating areas. There is also a wooden platform that is great for use as a stage and to hold classes. The pop-up included an area juicery, a braid bar, Urban Outfitters set up a zen meditation room/tent and City Surf held a workout class. You could easily spend a couple of hours in this inviting open area. Check out their website for a listing of events. Also the Backlot is dog friendly!

This is located right on the highway in Austin close to one of the fast food restaurants that we go to regularly. So this is a shiny mall - like most of the malls in Austin these days - which has a bunch of stores and banks and Big Box stuff.
