Kylene suggested splitting into 2 appointments and she made sure I got what I wanted, even if the second appointment alone took 4 hours to get just the right tones. SoVella had great reviews so I called and got an appointment for the same day. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with a warm reception. The salon layout and design did not disappoint. It has a high end feel to it. My daughter was a bit nervous but Kylene, the stylist made her feel comfortable by asking my daughter what look she wanted and explained how much she would cut. Honestly my daughter's hair has never looked better. It is great knowing that my daughter has her own hair stylist now! I would absolutely recommend this salon to my friends and family. read more

I have driven by this salon many times and decided to give them a try. Kylene did an amazing job. I went in for just a haircut/trim. She listened to everything that I wanted and understood the plight of curly hair/ thick hair. She didn't even break a sweat when blowing out my hair (which I have seen from other stylists...not here though)! I loved the technique that she used. After she cut my hair (when wet) she went back through and cut some more after she blew out my hair. The salon is very well kept and very clean. It definitely has a chill/calm feeling! I visited the salon for make up service on 2/18. I was immediately greeted by the employees and because it was my first time I was handed a form to complete. I was offered a drink while I completed my form. Before my makeup was done I was asked if it was ok to take a before and after picture when I was done and I agreed. Kylene did my makeup and was explained everything she she was doing. She did an awesome job. She also styled my hair. The owner (I forgot his name.. sorry owner LOL) was great! I had a question about the Keratin treatment and he was very helpful in answering all my questions. Overall I had a great experience here and will def return. read more

Great People , Great Customer Service , Great deal! The first time I came here it was thru a groupon deal. I was looking for a new way of cutting my hair. After a 20 minute consultation with Luis, hairdresser and one of owners at the salon, I was confident he was perfectionist type. Days later I booked my first appointment. I left very happy. Luis took a lot weight of my hair. I felt lighter and sexier! He thinned out my hair with a scissor - no razor! Big plus for me. Two and half months later, I came back again and with a $10 mail coupon. Of course, I saw Luis again. So the second time around I left happy. It may have been 5 days later that I noticed my hair was not as light as the 1st time. I tried different methods of styling my hair but still felt weight. I decided to email my concerns on a Monday morning ( closed ) and received a response the following morning. Luis gladly accepted me 2 days later and resolved my problem without any charge. This is what I call great customer service. Yes, I love a great haircut accompanied by great customer service. Now details about the salon: It is located on a corner where parking is very difficult to find on the street ( no meters ), at least the weekday evenings it is. There are three stations in the salon and one sink ( wash area ). The place always looks immaculate and does have a seating/waiting are with magazines. Luis and Nicole do offer coffee or water bottles as complementary. read more

She knows color like I never seen before and they use wonderful products which I feel is very important in keeping you hair healthy. The first time I came to this salon I wanted my hair to feel lighter and get more layers into it. I went to Luis and he did an OK job. I wasn't super impressed with the result, but I also was not dissatisfied. However, a couple of months later I went back to the salon for a consultation. Instead of asking a lot of questions and trying to meet my needs, Luis was exceptionally pushy and would solely speak with me about what he wanted for my hair. I was talked into that treatment (which also happens to be the most expensive--$300+). However, a few days later after doing some research, I called to change my appointment to what I wanted most. I am very particular about how I get my haircut. We have all had the horror of telling a stylist how we want our hair and then come out with something completely different. This place was nothing like that. I made an appointment here after being referred by a friend because my stylist for three years had left. I made an appointment for 4 and got there an hour early. Better to be early then late. The place is small, but very chic looking. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with friendly hellos and the owner introduced himself. Although he was busy with another client he was nice enough to ask me what I needed done with my hair. He looked at my hair and made an assessment of what he was going to do. While I waited, the woman at the desk offered me a water and I waited. I got washed and the girl was very nice. She made great conversation and was very attentive. Once Luis, the owner, began cutting my hair he told me step by step what he was doing. He made me feel very comfortable and there wasn't any moment of awkward silence, like I usually get with most salons. The fact that he is able to do fades along the side and still cut the top so my hair fits the shape of my head made me very happy. Most salons do just the hair for men, but don't do the beards. Luis did my beard, which was very unruly, and gave me some tips to keep it well groomed. By the end of the cut I was more than pleased with the workmanship. Plus you get an extra 10% off as a first timer. I think I found my new salon for years to come! read more

It seems that the color/brand they dye my hair with fades very quickly.... And although Nicole does a good job, she always makes my color darker than what I want! I have told her that I don't like that dark... In the few times I've been there I haven't felt totally satisfied. Plus I think it is very expensive! read more
