You'll need to add your favorite local beer and get on over to The New York Butcher Shoppe in Arden for your favorite cut of local beef. If you ask politely they are happy to chunk it up for you so all you have to do is add ingredients to it. It's perfect for these cold winter days that are upon us right now. I cannot recommend this highly enough. I'm a huge fan. And if you're out of town, Karen's business is online and she ships. Usually they are early or right on time. The guy I usually talk to is very knowledgeable and he has told me about his trips to Asia to the farm. I really like the green maeng da during the day and the red Borneo after work. I work in construction and it makes the impact from years of grueling work a little bit easier to bear. I tried his white Bali a few times (free samples!) but it was way too much for me. It made me too edgey like more than coffee or red bull, but one of my laborers absolutely loves it. Hey he moves faster with it so I get him some from time to time and he thinks it's a great gift ;)

The quality of the beef is superb since they own the farm (Apple Brandy Beef) which their beef comes from. On top of that, the staff are always friendly and the type of folks you get to know on a first name basis. And the space is always very clean and fresh smelling. If you grab a ribeye, don't forget a jar of their Apple Brandy Beef steak rub. Pro tip: Get a pound of their beef bacon which is thinly sliced brisket which cooks up just like bacon and is seasoned with a nice black pepper rub. Sear it on med-high in a cast iron for a nice pairing with the local Dry Ridge Farm eggs (you've never had eggs till you have those).
