And to top it all off, Stuart (the owner) and Klaus were just wonderful and friendly and so knowledgeable in helping us choose the right pieces for our new place. Everything is so vibrant and textural! I wanted to touch everything and try sitting on everything! But be careful....a couple of the chairs like to lean back and make you think you are falling! I laughed at myself after gasping like a dummy! Things are a little pricey, and I was more in a browsing and looking mood, so I didn't leave with anything. But if you are in the market for unique home goods (rugs and pillows and seating options, oh my) they are worth perusing! The girl working was so friendly, and EVERYTHING IN THE STORE IS CUTE. Everything seemed so well curated. I personally was flocking to all of the jewelry; most (or all?) of it is either locally made or comes from fair trade organizations. Necklaces, bracelets, rings, earrings, you name it! There were some body products (like a dreamy cream I put on my hands), handbags, other accessories, and more. I ended up buying a unique necklace, but I seriously wanted one of everything in the store! If I lived in Asheville, this would be my go-to spot when I wanted to treat myself or give a gift along these lines. Since I don't live in Asheville, I'll make it a point to visit next time I'm back in town--and to encourage you to visit!

The customer service was so friendly, and the nice lady working really wanted to connect with us, and also tell more about the artists who made some of the different art. Informative, funny, kind - she was great. I would recommend this to EVERY Asheville tourist looking for something unique to take home, rather than junky trinkets made in China that you can find in every American gift shop.

I frequently have bought furniture from Nadeau, but will have to find a new store nor will I recommend them to any family. I am a teacher and have a budget for my classroom and made a horrible mistake by buying a BROKEN desk. I hate LIARS and teach children who have better morals than this store. So disappointed and Nadeau is not a representation of Asheville or the wonderful mountain people.

They not only help struggling villages all over the world but I just love the fact that it is being done right here in Asheville! Try the coffee, it's so good! Oh and by the way, Incite Coffee beans are roasted in Asheville so you're also supporting locals as well! In these crazy times Ten Thousand Villages makes you feel safe. Perfect place for the quick gift, and the staff is fresh and will gladly help you locate that special thing you're looking for even if you don't know what you want.
