Café 2€
Cassie H.

I really liked this place - for 19€ I had three courses and a coffee - it was totally worth it... For the entree I had the mezze tasting plate, it had an assortment of vegetables, dips and nuts - the combination of textures was great. For my main, I had the couscous which was huge!!! And for dessert the assortment plate is the way to go!! The tarte chocolat was to die for!! and again they really got it right by mixing the textures, crunchiness of the nuts combined with smooth chocolate, moist cakes and a mix of sweet and bitterness with the fruits! The presentation of the food was great, and the quality exceptional.. Will definitely be going back!!

The place to go for a vegetarian lunch or brunch in town - Food is fresh, well prepared, innovative and healthy - atmosphere is bohemian casual, professionals in their late 20's early 30's, artsy, subversive or simply food conscious, no surprise for that kind of restaurant, however it feels like anyone is welcome - staff is attentive and friendly without being invasive; besides the chef will be happy to explain which dishes are displayed on the brunch buffet table - location is a quiet street and it's refreshing to find that pearl in the northern part of Republique metro station.

Can't say anything about the food because only came here for a quick dessert before catching the Eurostar. But the dessert...I can say this- SO GOOD! It was just what we were looking for from the concept of the restaurant- simple &healthy-ish. Ordered the tofu chocolate. It was a mouse made from tofu and chocolate. It was so decadent and delicious, I'm not sure if it was really guilt free being that it was tofu, but worth trying. The hazelnut that it was topped with, I think, was caramelized. Was also topped with strawberry and walnuts. The serving size was good enough for two, for a quick casual share, but this can be inhaled by one. The ambiance was nice. Candles lit and casual wood tables. Advice- Make a reservation if dining.

it is not cheap. The bowl of salad that has no meat costs more than $20. But it was so good that you feel like you have been cheated by all these restaurant on salad. The combination of vegetable, dressing (amazing), tofu that had a texture of fresh mozzarella.. etc.. it was really amazing....

Meze salad during lunch at Soya, Paris.

The meze salad was a rich and varied salad. Today's special was that it had some sort of beet root dressing which was maybe the best on the entire plate. We ate just before they closed for the afternoon and it felt like the staff just wanted to go home. We were alone in the restaurant and still we had to wait a lot.

Best curry!

Delicious vegetarian faire in this chic, intimate republique restaurant. The outside is nondescript.

Best meal all week! Cute little restaurant in Montmartre with limited indoor seating, make sure you…read moremake reservations. They were so nice & accommodating, the moment we stepped in they made us feel welcomed. Their food was delectable with many gluten free options. The homemade foie gras was delicious & it even came with gluten free bread! My husband enjoyed his tuna fish with leek tatin, black rice & tom yam coconut cream. My daughter enjoyed the pressed beef stew with roasted cauliflower, black olive, red wine jus. And I LOVED the beef butcher's cut with potatoes, beetroots and honey. The desserts were just as tasty. We got the caramelized pear with vanilla pastry cream, crumble and brioche & the gluten free chocolate lava cake with crunchy praline topping. Everything was so flavorful & beautifully presented. We were so full but extremely satisfied. If we stayed closer to this area we would have eaten there again! This is a must visit in Paris.

This place is a gem!…read more First off, the hours on yelp are wrong. They are indeed open for lunch during weekdays. Even though this looks like a hike in a wall place, the food is phenomenal. It shows the owner and the chef care about their food. It's a stark contrast to all the touristy traps in this area. On top of that, the prices are very reasonable. We got the set lunch for 19 euros and they were more than enough to power me for the rest of my tourist day ;)

We dined here last night upon a recommendation from my wife's boss. This was a great little spot…read more Small dining area downstairs with a little spiral staircase leading up to 2 more small dining rooms. The staff was all very friendly and inviting and were happy to recommend their favorite dishes to us. My wife ordered a French onion soup and one of their famously large salads, which are served in these big bowls. I decided to try the chef's special, which was a beef tenderloin a la rossini (truffle sauce and foie gras). I'm not typically a foie gras fan, but I figured since we're in Paris that I'd give it a shot. I'm very glad I did because it was absolutely delicious. The steak melded perfectly with the truffle sauce and fois gras. This was all served with potatoes au gratin, and blanched green beans. Everything was perfect. I also ordered two large beers. A Grimbergin blonde and a Kronenbourg ale. I love how both beers were served in their respective brand's glasses. Such a nice touch. For dessert, we ordered an Apple Tarte Tartin, upon a recommendation from one of the staff. It was light, sweet, and served with some ice cream and créme fraîce. This was such a great dinner all around. Great food, great vibes, which all lead to a great evening. Would definitely recommend!

Big disappointment this one. I bookmarked it based on all the positive reviews. Apparently I was…read moresupposed to order the big cheap salad with potatoes. It wasn't on the menu. For New Year's Eve they offered a special menu, 79 € per person. The host outside who convinced us to splurge for the special occasion said our kiddo wouldn't pay full price. Spoiler: that's not how it went. We were seated in back by the restrooms, with the sound of the hand-dryer serenading our meal. From what I could tell, apart from the staff, there wasn't a single French-speaking person in the whole place, a bad sign. For appetizers we had the escargots, which could have benefited from more garlic and butter, the foie gras, which was fine, and the smoked salmon, which was a generous portion, and very smokey. For my main, I ordered the duck in honey sauce, which would have been a good plate, served with salad, but for some reason they plated it with cold vegetables: green beans, bell pepper, and eggplant under congealing butter--Tasted like it was made ahead of time and they forgot to reheat it out of the fridge before scooping onto my plate. Total fail. My kiddo got the knuckle of lamb, which was fatty and gristly, although the mashed potatoes underneath were delicious, and my wife chose the fettuccine with shrimp and scallops, which were both overcooked and the scallops were crunchy, which was weird, served over way too much plain noodles. The desserts were good, but we paid over 240 € for three, with only one drink each, making it both the most expensive and also least delicious meal of our trip so far. Staff were friendly and attentive, and all addressed us in English, even though I'm fluent in French, which makes sense for a tourist trap. Would not recommend, unless maybe you just get the big cheap salad, seemingly that's what the 5-star reviews are for.
