The J , the sugarhouse & the Philly those are the rolls we decided on. (My daughter and i) . They were all SO good! Our favorite was the sugarhouse we substituted the aioli sauce for eel sauce instead. Definitely recommended.

Simply put, this is my #1 go-to now when I go to Murray, Utah for work. I love sushi, and this place is less than a mile from the hotel I always stay at. It's such a great place -- the service is always speedy and friendly. The sushi/nigiri is superb. I've tried a number of things, all of them good. The Volcano Roll is worth noting. And they have some really good sides too like the calamari and gyoza. It's excellent, and like I said, I go every work trip out there now.

This is probably my new favorite spot to get sushi. I never finish my entire roll but I did here! I even liked my boyfriend's choice (The J) and I typically only order fried rolls. All the flavors were so fresh and everything seemed to be excellent quality. Perfect crisp on the Vegas roll. Even the fried rice was amazing. Service was great, ambience was a cute city vibe right off of state street. It's a little pricey but worth it, we will be back!

After a couple years, I thought it was time to come back and try out Soy's Sushi again. I came here for a birthday lunch with a close friend. The parking lot is currently under construction as of August 2024, so that was a little annoying, but not to the fault of the restaurant. The location shares a parking lot with Pho Saigon, a Home2Suites, and a bunch of other little small shops in the heart of Murray State Street. Inside, the restaurant is clean and I can see this place being great for a business lunch or even a date. It's a good sushi place for any occasion really. My friend was impressed with the Jalapeño Hamachi, we both agreed that it didn't taste fishy at all. I also don't usually eat Yellowtail, but it was good! The Salmon Belly was a little of a let down because it was tiny and I felt like I paid for an avocado instead. The sauce it was doused in was pretty good though. We did order some Maki Rolls (salmon and scallop) and the Baked Mussels (they were kind of small), but I wasn't able to get a picture of it because I forgot and we were starving! No complaints on any of the rolls. I liked their Volcano roll because the tempura batter isn't thick, but there was enough tempura around the roll to give it a slight crunch. Overall, Soy's not my first choice when it comes to sushi, but I would not be opposed to ever coming back! The sushi and fish was good and fresh and I enjoyed it.

This place has been on my "try it" list. Since the reviews were positive I have some pretty good expectations of them. Started with an order of pan friend gyoza and beers, we were off to a good track! We ordered a couple of rolls and the boneless korean short ribs. We ordered a few rolls, the Murray, Holladay, orchid and the Vegas. The only one that I though was good was memorable was the Murray. The service was decent, but minimal- which is fine, considering that it was dinner time. They we're hosting a paint night and it was kinda hard to hear since the instructor would use a microphone. I thought, well maybe sushi, beer and pain night sounds fun! Overall I was not impressed with their sushi, if I'm in the area I would definitely grab the Korean beef plate for sure! The meat portion was massive and so packed with flavor, that is one thousand percent worth every penny!

Highly recommend the walnut shrimp! Lots of parking in the back! The service was also great and everything was really clean!

    Teriyaki chicken

A lovely dinner with excellent food and gracious service. We started with edamame, a tuna roll and pan-fried gyoza. All were well prepared and tasty. My friend had chicken fried rice which he enjoyed ... but for my taste I would have preferred a lot more vegetables in it. I had teriyaki chicken which was beautifully presented and layered with lots of onions, zucchini, mushrooms, green peppers in teriyaki sauce.

The food here was ok, nothing spectacular the food presentation was amazing. One detrimental thing is that they used PRINGLES for their tuna tartare which costed like 20 bucks. Their service on the other hand saved their review they were incredible. The ambience was of an upscale Michelin restaurant.

Wow who new Murray had a first class Sushi restaurant? I did not until now. stopped in for dinner with Holly and we were impressed. Great tasting yellow curry with just the right amount of sweetness and spice. The sexy shrimp was beautiful, fresh and delicious. The walnut shrimp was sweet and flavorful. Our service was fast , friendly, and helpful. I love that Murray has an awesome sushi spot ! We will be back.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of sushi at Soy's! It tasted incredibly fresh and each roll was bursting with flavor. My favorite roll was the Murray, but the others were exceptional as well. The cocktails were also well made! The service was a little slow, but the waiters were all very friendly so we weren't too upset about it. For being a last minute decision, Soy's left a great first impression on me. I'll definitely be back!

Came in for a quick solo lunch and tried the sushi lunch special, 2 maki rolls plus a miso soup for $13. Honestly, can't beat that I'm this economy. Got the spicy tuna and the spider roll and they were both very good. The inside of the restaurant is nice looking, but it didn't feel so fancy that it would make me feel weird having a quick lunch. After eating here, I have looked over various reviews and I can't wait to come here sometime for dinner!

Kayaki is a cute spot for sushi and drinks. I love tea, and was pleasantly surprised to find out…read morethey serve tea in this adorable kettle. The Vegas roll is delicious! While constructed unlike other Vegas rolls I've had, it was really good! We also had the gyoza as an appetizer and those were great. Service was friendly but they were a bit understaffed on the day I visited. Despite that, we didn't wait long to be seated or to get our food!

We love sushi and were excited to try this spot…read more I was very impressed with the inside. It's really clean and pretty, from the flooring to the lighting to the bathrooms. I feel like a nice bathroom is rare at a sushi restaurant. We were seated immediately, which is appreciated. We did come at 4:30 on a Saturday, which I think helped. Some of my random, less positive thoughts: There were no napkins, chopsticks, or ginger/wasabi on the table to start with. We have a three year old, so napkins are of vital importance. Every time we asked for napkins, we were given 4-5 cocktail napkins instead of real napkins. This ended up being even more inconvenient when our toddler spilled his miso soup on the table and floor, and we were mopping it up very inefficiently with what they had given us. A California roll being priced at $13 is a little much for us. Again with a toddler, we stick to the basics, and when the basics are pricy, it makes it hard for us to want to come back. They do have a kids' roll with avocado and cucumber--missing the only part my son cares about (crab). As a price conscious, inflation affected individual, I was put off by the least expensive rolls being $13, and most expensive being $17. I got the mango roll as it most closely matched my favorite roll at my favorite restaurant. I would not get it again. My husband got the "sex on the beach" roll and liked it but didn't have any outstanding remarks about it. The good news: - The service was great. Staff were friendly, attentive, and quick. - They handled our son's miso spill with grace. - They had a "sauce basket," which is super cool and unique. - Our coconut shrimp appetizer was AMAZING, as was the sauce that came with it. Seriously, so good. - The portion of noodles for my toddler was really generous for the price, which I appreciated. - I got salmon nigiri which was really good. (Note: if you get a 3 piece nigiri, you can only choose 1 fish.) - I appreciate how many appetizers they have at reasonable prices, and would like to come back just for those, honestly. - The wide variety is nice. I'd like to try sushi pizza sometime. And they have a lot of vegan options for those who are about that. - We had a coupon on the back of our Smith's receipt! If we come back, I think I'd try another roll or two (maybe the Caterpillar, Vegas, Geisha, or Rainbow) but would mainly focus on appetizers and small plates. I think this spot is worth a try if you can budget for it. We are mostly a "happy hour sushi" family and love to stick to our favorite across the street.
