He didn't even use the funny oil peeing boy (IYKYK) which my 9yo old always gets excited about. Food was cooked just right IMO but server never came back to refill drinks or see if we needed anything. They don't have yum yum sauce it's something much runnier which was disappointing. After the cook was done, they were practically rushing us out, by picking up plates, offering boxes, and setting new clean dishwater near the grill. I'm glad that they are efficient, but where's my server? Where's my water & wine refill? For a Friday evening and NOT very busy, I was really bummed for how horrible our experience and service was. The friendly guy who welcomed us to the sushi bar never returned. There were a handful of young chefs in training. A trainee admitted they were trying to make our sushi but said the real chef would probably return and re-do it. This wasn't said to us, it was said to other trainees, but I know what I ordered. Sure enough when the chef came back he looked at her work, she stepped aside and he went to work at the same spot. Eventually it was served to us and he asked how long we had been waiting and apologized for the wait. Where had he gone anyway? We also ordered the sushi roll of the day. It had three slices of jalapeños and those were SO HOT they were almost inedible. I love spicy food. This was crazy! It was a poke hand roll. When the jalapeño slices were removed, it was still atomic.
