I wanted to get my nails done on my lunch break and tried this place out since I was short on time. Never again will I cheat on my usual salon! I needed a soak off and plain gel manicure. I walked in and the salon was dark and dusty looking. Against my instincts, I stayed for my service. Once the soak off was complete, the tech gave me a book with samples to pick my color and then he had me hold onto it until he was ready to polish. When doing the filing, buffing, etc, he nicked my skin several times. I pointed out that he filed my nails unevenly, the entire right hand looked very slanted. He filed the thumb a bit but it was still totally off. Throughout all of this, the salon kept the news on with the volume up... in this political atmosphere that's a bold choice. I came for a relaxing experience and it was just uncomfortable and odd. The only perks I can think of is that I could schedule online and there were a lot of colors to choose from. read more

Yesterday, I called to speak with the manager regarding two broken nails from a recent full set I had done at your establishment. During that call, the manager assured me, "We will fix it for you." I provided my name to avoid any confusion when I came in. When I arrived today, I explained to the nail tech what the manager had told me. She proceeded to work on my nails, and I want to be clear--I have no issue with her service at all. While she was finishing my nails, the manager walked in. Afterward, I asked the nail tech for her personal Cash App so I could tip her $15 for her excellent work. At that point, the manager stated that it had been two weeks and acted as though she could not honor the agreement we had discussed over the phone. I calmly explained that this was not what we discussed. As an Afro-Latina, I was careful not to come across as confrontational, so I offered two options: I could either pay for the two broken nails or simply tip the nail tech. The manager chose to have me pay for the broken nails. What truly upset me was the way the manager made me feel during this interaction--it was dismissive and unprofessional. This situation was completely avoidable and unacceptable, especially since I would have gladly spent more had she honored her word. As a business owner myself, I understand the importance of professionalism, integrity, and respect toward clients. I arrived on Sunday, Oct 8, 2023 at 3:30pm, when I arrived I saw their hours posted on the door which said "Sunday 11am-4pm" I asked if it's too late to get a full set and pedicure. They said no and I was able to get serviced asap as I was the only customer there. The pedi was rushed The full set overlay was rushed, it was done while I was sitting in the pedicure chair. I let them know that I wanted to get regular polish for both and asked if that was OK, I was told yes. I would have been willing to do shellac upon their request (It wouldn't have been an unreasonable request given the time of day) but I did ask. Fast forward, I didn't feel like I got the full mani/pedi experience. The polish on my nail chipped while under the fan. When I asked if it could be fixed, the pregnant person was visible upset. She polished over it. And sent me back under the fan. I don't plan to return ever again. The service should have been discounted by 25% given how rushed and her attitude. read more

I stopped here because I was nearby. The man doing my pedicure was nice but didn't speak English. I requested a collagen pedicure. During my pedi he stuck my feet in plastic garbage bags with liquid inside... I had no idea what was going on, but the liquid was super hot and biting the bottom of my feet. Turns out it was paraffin (which I didn't ask for I'm guessing it was a language barrier issue). I'd never had a pardon treatment so I was unaware of what was going on. The pedicure is just okay the technician trimmed my nails but didn't file the sharp edges nor did he trim the cuticles I noticed later. As for the business it was cluttered. I mean it looked clean but the clutter made it feel dirty and the technicians Do not have a private area for their breaks it's a wide open space so they were all eating and relaxing out in the open in a designated area. There was one man (maybe the owner) hanging out in the corner "break"area with his shoes off and his feet up on a box or something. I will not be going back there. It's just not a comfortable relaxing place. read more

Went in for a polish change on my toes because it was next to REI. Since it was $10 for regular polish and shellac was $20, I went with the shellac. The guy didn't really talk to me, he just pointed to the seat and color swatches. After he took off my polish, he proceeded to file the sides of my nails, filing my surrounding skin/cuticles at the same time. He was pressing so hard it was painful. You can see the red flesh in the pic. Now that I have broken skin, I'm going to have to spray antiseptic spray on it for a few days to avoid infection since it wasn't a new file. Be aware. The place is dirty and dusty. The service is horrible . They don't even put lotion on your hands when they are done. They charge extra without telling you up front so you can make an educated decision. I saw SAPA and her attention is on the phone and with everyone who comes in the door making you wait forever. One of the worst salons I have been to in troy area. Save your money! I had seen Sapas work on instagram and booked an appointment with her. Walked in and another women started doing my nails. During my appointment I see that sapa had another client booked. The women that did my nails did not listen to the shape i wanted and just did it the way she liked. I kept asking her how much the price would be for my inspiration picture and she wouldn't answer and just kept saying she would only know at the end. She made my nails longer than I asked so she could charge more. The work was not worth the price. The cuticles were not clean and very rough and nails started lifting after a week. I rarely treat myself to getting my nails done and decided a few days ago to go and get a pedicure and manicure. My pedicure was fine. The lady was very nice. Then I was handed off to a man to have my dip manicure done. I am a very easy going person. During the manicure he managed to cut all of my cuticles on my left hand. The left ring finger being the worst. He did so when trimming my cuticles and then when using the circulating buffer. I was bleeding when I left. Still paid the $91 dollars in full including a tip for the service. I went home and cleaned them with alcohol and put ointment on. 3 days later the redness on my ring finger cuticle has increased and pus is coming out from underneath. I am typing this as I sit in urgent care waiting to be called back. I'm anticipating at least an antibiotic. I would NEVER return as a customer and I would NEVER recommended for anyone else to go here either....unless you want to earn yourself a trip to urgent care! Update! I was given a 5 day course of antibiotics, ointment, and told to keep my finger covered. This is now Wednesday May 25...a week after getting my nails done and the dip manicure totally fell off my thumb while in the car. It lasted one week!!!! I came here for the first time while I was shopping nearby at Nordstrom Rack. I came for a regular manicure. I was surprised they had me select a gel color. I reminded them I was doing a regular manicure and they said no problem. The colors would work. The polish they use is a brand I am unfamiliar with. CNC or something? I hope it lasts. The other reviews here have me nervous. The guy who did my nails cut them a bit shorter than I would have liked but they ended up looking good. Luckily my nails grow back rather quickly. read more

One of the worst salons I've been to in Troy. I went in for a regular manicure. The picture says it all... I will never return.

This is the absolute worst salon ever. Talk about no care in the world! I got a mani and pedi and requested for french. This lady literally took polish and painted straight across. Did not go back like all the other salons that would go back and use a brush to shape the white part. I wish I took a picture of how ugly my nails looked. I ended up telling the lady I wanted it off my nails. She went and said they don't do french with regular polish. If you are that incompetent on using regular polish to do a French manicure why are you doing nails at all? I've been to many places that can and will use regular polish to do french manicure. read more

Worst experience! The person who did pedi and shallec was very quiet I could not understand him at all and he just kept laughing... did not eve try. Asked for shallec and when i went to put my hand inside the machine it BURN! Never had it hurt sooo much! *update 4/15/19* My shellac has once again started to peel off my actual nails again. Will not be going back *update 4/8/19* I called today to see if they had a warranty on their work, as I've seen other salons do this. I never got a clear response but I explained the chipping and peeling of my nails less than three days after it was done. They offered to fix it for me, which I greatly appreciated, without char. I felt the nice gentleman who did my nails this time around did a much better job. I was really excited to try this new salon, since it was closer to me rather than the other salons I go to. I saw they were having a grand opening offer for 30% off your service. I work near by so I grabbed my friend and went after my shift. We were greeted once walking in, which is always nice. The person who was going to be doing our nails, was sleeping in one of the pedicure chairs in the back. He was nice overall, he didn't speak much English but he did compliment the colors we chose. Upon finishing my nails, I noticed that he did not seal/cap off the edge of my nail to protect the polish. I noticed when he started to file my friends nails, he used the same nail file that he used on me, well I hope it was only used by me, I didn't get a chance to notice if it was used before he used it on me. It's not entirely gross because it was most likely only used by me, a friend, but just hoping it does not get used on another client. I also noticed that my friend's shellac was not capped off to prevent chipping. My friend and I only got a shellac polish, no manicure. Less than a day later, my friends polish started to peel off of her nails, which I was astounded as to why that would happen as it has not happened before. Here I am now three days after the visit, my nails have also started to chip and peel from my nails. I really thought this nail salon would be the one I would always go to from now on. The environment was friendly, very organized and neat, yet that does not justify my shellac job. Disappointed that my shellac has only lasted 3 days at most, my friend's less than 1 day, and the same soiled nail file was used. I would definitely give a higher rating if my nails lasted longer, rating was highly weighted on the job done on my nails. Mostly disappointed because people give hard earned money to treat themselves once in a while at a salon, and the results is not what I anticipated. I went there for the first time, greeted me nicely but the girl was doing my shellac was a high school student and know nothing about nails. She didn't even know how to put shellac on. The polish was all around my nails and she didn't know how to fix it. I left very dissatisfied. In addition my shellac literally started peeling after 2 days and I paid $30 dollars for that.
