She did a test strand and looked at my pictures for reference and told me exactly what she could do and that it was going to look amazing. I had my hair done by Geneva and despite the fact that I wasn't fully decided on what exactly I wanted, Geneva listened patiently and knew what my hair needed. I had been to this location years ago before the new owners and figured I would give it a try again. I was able to book my appointment online the day before and pick my stylist as well. After reading over the portfolios for the stylists I decided, based on the service I wanted, to go with Geneva. The process was super easy and the pricing is online as well. I walked in and the place still looks the same. It is clean and everyone is friendly. They have a small waiting area that I was advised to sit in until Geneva came out. She greeted me, walked me to the chair, went over the haircut and then shampooed my hair. Her shampoo was up to par. Throughout the haircut, she asked if it was okay, held a good conversation and was attentive. She was super friendly and I felt like I could trust her with my hair. After going to a few places locally that would not listen to what I had to say, it is refreshing to be paid attention too. We talked about future plans for my hair and I will be back. Saw Jess for my eyebrow lamination, tint & wax and couldn't be more pleased. She explained the process, took her time, was professional and definitely takes pride in her work. First off, let me tell you about the facility. I expected something kind of pretentious with a name like Spa 801. Let me just say that I couldn't have been more wrong. The building is welcoming with its large, brick-paved covered patio, comfortable seating, and lush plants before you even reach the front door. The receptionists are friendly and helpful. The updated interior is bright and light yet totally unpretentious. There is a nice sized area for mani/pedis, and a large open space with several stylists. These areas are separated by a modest yet comfortable lounge in, well, a hallway. But it works! You might think it would be busy and overwhelming with everything that's going on, but it isn't. The stylists' booths are arranged in a manner that keeps things private yet open. I generally put off getting my hair done. For me, it's a time suck, and I'm rarely happy with the results. Then I found Bert. He listens, asks questions, and makes sure he's giving you what you want. I've never had better color, and he absolutely nailed the cut! I looove my hair stylist, Young! Before, he worked at a place called Salon Pearl, which is where I originally know him from, but ever since I found him, I haven't gone to any other hair stylist! Then, he left and came to Spa 801, and because i didn't trust anyone else with my hair, I make the drive here just for him! He's just a fantastic hair stylist. I don't know what I'd do with my hair if he stopped cutting hair. The service at this salon is also tremendously friendly, nice, and welcome everytime i come!
