This is my go to place for a very good pedicure. Its not cheap $50 but worth every penny. Deb knows feet. My sister and I have come in with split toenails and dried feet. I have been going to Alyssa and Debbie for nearly 8 years for hair and Nails and even when I deployed across the country to California and Virginia and then even to Japan- every time I came home I always went to see Deb and Alyssa. So I went in looking for help with the lovely nest the beach built in back of my head. I was expecting lots of cutting, hopefully not a Brittney Spears shave. I explained that I already attempted to wash & condition & even applied hair mask. Fifteen minutes later my hair is completely combed out & NO PAIN. I have been a snowbird from Illinois for the past 5 years and now we moved here permanently. I wasn't able to get a good pedicure all the time I was coming down here to St. Pete Beach until now. I tried Alyssa Salon and Debbie did my pedicure. She gave me the best pedicure I ever had! She's very thorough and very good at giving pedicures. The salon is a very welcoming place and everyone is so friendly from the minute you walk into the place. I am ecstatic that I found a great pedicurist! I also had my hair done 2 weeks later by Lynda Scillitani and she is a fantastic stylist. She's also an expert in hair coloring. She mixed a color for my hair that was perfect. I think this place is a diamond in the rough . From the outside, it looks like a little store in a plaza, easily missed. But the inside decor is adorable. I received a gel manicure and pedicure from the owner, (i think her name is Debbie) and she was awesome! She gave me a very attentive pedicure and manicure, taking extra steps to perfection. I called to schedule an appt, and she got me in 5 min later. She only uses top quality products and explained why she used them. She gave me pointers on my hand and feet care - and knew what my problems were because she's very knowledgeable in aesthetics. On top of that, the prices were very reasonable! I won't be returning to St. Pete but if I did, that's definitely where I would go. read more

We came in to a super friendly and very welcoming atmosphere. We were greeted by Brittany whom also happened to be my husbands hair stylist. She was very friendly, listened well to my direction (I myself am a hair stylist but had no time to give my hubby a cut before our vaca) ,talkative (in a good way) and personable. While waiting the 2 owners (mother and daughter) overheard that we were from out of town, they immediately gave me the in on where to go and where to eat! Brittany mentioned to go to Johns Pass Boardwalk (which we are at currently, but that's another review) . As an out of state bride, I contacted Alyssa's Salon to do my wedding hair style. Correspondence with the salon and stylist were great and I couldn't wait to come in and get my hair done for my big day! However, when I left the salon I had to go to the Don Cesar salon to have them completely redo the whole thing. Hair extensions were showing through and bobby-pins were not secure and popping out. I did not go back to Alyssa's Salon because I did not want further disappointment in something I knew they weren't confident in to begin with. The Don Cesar salon was completely booked but after they had one look at my hair they squeezed me right in because it was such unacceptable bridal hair. Not to mention, the Don was much cheaper than what Alyssa's Salon charged me (and they charged me full price since it had to be completely redone on top of moving around other appointments to accommodate me - and it was still cheaper!) The stylist was personable and the salon was overall nice but I don't think they should take on clients, especially a bride, if they aren't confident and experienced in doing so. Especially after the conversations we had that made me believe it would be a great experience before my wedding. Disappointing. read more

I rely on Yelp when I travel but this is the first time I've posted. I needed a pedicure and shellac manicure and went to Alyssa's on a recommendation from a local hotel employee. I called and they were able to fit me in due to a cancellation. The location is no frills but it was one of the best pedicures I've had. Debbie is EXTREMELY knowledgeable about how different life stresses affect your feet and toe nails and my feet have never felt better. Debbie, Alyssa and the other staff treated everyone like family who came through the doors so I felt right at home. As someone who gets these services done all over the country and in all types of venues, this might be the best pedicure I've had. My shellac manicure also looks impeccable and Debbie had a number of tips to help me preserve my nails. read more

Very very bad experience there.Totally unprofessionsal. Stylists refused to listen to my request to stop aggresively rubbing back and forth the roots of my hair wuth the dryer.smashing the cuticle. Absolutely turned a deaf ear and shred my hair breaking it. Horrible bliw dry by a vicioys woman with zero skills. Stay far fat away. Low class salon. read more

I was on vacation and in need of a shampoo and style, I saw this place in yelp and thought I would give it a try. It was awsome the owner was very nice and the guy that did my hair listen to what I wanted and he delivered! My hair looked gorgeous and is exactly what I wanted even better.
