The environment itself was relaxing. The woman walking me through to show me everything was great. The massage itself not so great. I got an hr and a half so I could get more time on my back and he barely touched my back. He spend more time off my body getting product and more time on my limbs than the areas I asked him to focus on. I went for another massage two days later and the person even commented how much I needed a massage. Spa Anjali even told me he was one of the best. I have to disagree. I have had way way better. My girlfriend and I had 50 minute massages this afternoon and it was ok, not great. Staff greeted us and were very helpful. We changed and went to the outdoor hot tubs for a bit, then changed and waited. Nancy's masseuse was very hard to understand, but nice. I was escorted back to a massage room and I got on the table, which did not seem like a traditional massage table, the woman looked at me curiously and said, you are here for a facial correct, No I am here for a massage, so back to the lounge to cool my heels for a bit. both our massages were slow to start, then constant pauses, with the opening and closing of drawers' numerous times. The opening and closing of drawers during both massages was so unnecessary and disruptive, if you can't have oils available, at least put soft closes on the drawers. It just seemed like there was a lot of rest breaks or time wasting as opposed to customer care. This is not worth $350 for 2 fifty-minute massages. It's hard for me to give this just a three as there were a lot of things I enjoyed, but not the actual massage that I paid for. This is not at all reflective of my rating, but just a tip...I thought it might be easier to do self parking even though they validate for valet just because you don't have to wait for your car. The self parking was a little confusing, so I would recommend just doing the free valet. When I arrived, I was shown the locker room and briefly told about the amenities. My locker was in a corner and it was relatively busy there on a weekend, and it was very crowded around that corner locker. Pretty much everyone changed into a robe for their service and waited in the nice relaxation room. There is water, snacks like nuts, and tea in the waiting area. They also have a steam room and sauna that you can use, but those were pretty basic. All of this was fine, but then I got the massage. I told the therapist that I wanted to focus on my upper body as I have a lot of tension in my neck and shoulders. She asked if I wanted her to do other spots and I said that she could if she really felt like she had already worked out all of my upper back, but with only a 50 minute massage, I wasn't sure there would be time to do any more. Well, she spent the majority working on my lower back and glutes. Completely the opposite of what I told her! The draping was not very good either and I felt pretty exposed and uncomfortable. I did ask her if she was going to work on my neck and she said she would when she turned me over at the end. She did do that, but it was just a small portion. I get a massage every month and this is the first time I couldn't really wait for it to be over. The technique was fine, but when you pay that much money, they should focus on what you ask them to focus on. My favorite part of the whole experience was the outdoor hot tubs. It's beautiful out there. I would come back for that, but you can also get that just by staying at the hotel. I'm sure lots of people have a good experience, and I could tell that when I was there, but it just wasn't for me. read more

I went for the customized version - and the provider I had combined deep tissue with some cupping work - which really helped to loosen up my muscles. My review is totally based on the training studio and it was great. I scheduled a personal training with Christy( she is great, fit and knowledgeable), and all it included access to the whole facility, hot tubs outside by the pool and steam sauna etc. The fitness center was huge with lots of different machines, bikes and treadmills. They offered 2 different classes during the time I was there. The facility is very clean and well kept, lots of towels for the gym and the pool and also wet towels inside the Refrigerator to cool of after the workout. There is a bar by the pool area and they do serve snacks and light lunch. read more

While staying at the Westin my mom and I stopped by for facials. They were on special for $125 which seems like a competitive price for the area. It was fabulous and relaxing all around. They are taking every precaution necessary for COVID-19. They were masks the whole time and there's a shield between you and the esthetician. I felt safe and relaxed the whole time. Decent spa. The prices are almost half of the prices as the Ritz and the treatment choices are pretty good. The only issue we had was eating. I specifically made our (me and my friend) spa appointments so that we could have lunch between treatments. I was assured (by the gal on the phone making our appointments) that there were several options for lunch in the hotel. However, after our first treatment, during our break, we couldn't really find anywhere to eat. There was a bar but the bartender said it didn't open until noon and our next treatment was at 12:15 so we didn't have time for that. We were told that there is a small market, where we can get sandwiches and salads, but when we gave the girl our order, she told us the only thing available was a breakfast burrito. We ended up having lunch at Starbucks which was not the spa lunch experience we were hoping for. It would have been a much better experience if the spa offered spa-quality meal options! read more

If you want to do it up right here's what I recommend: Book a massage with either Will or Matt. (Matt is great for prenatal massage and Will for deep tissue.) Tom Sheehan is also incredible and is intuitive with helping fix problem areas. Terry is also incredible highly recommend her! Justin just joined here and is outstanding. Show up early or stay late, and time your spa service right so you can do a gym class or yoga. Go for a dip in their salt water pool. And then just relax. Spa Anjali has incredible off season specials. If you join the athletic club you get 20% off. I'm not a member but always keep an eye out for the off season specials or other locals deals. They will even sometimes honor whatever deal even if you are late booking and miss the deadline. That's customer service. The staff here is AWESOME! They always greet you with a smile. The quiet Dressing Rooms had lockers, white robes, slippers, & a large beauty bar with products to finish the experience. Outside by the pool were 3 saltwater infinity Hot Tubs ~ very relaxing. The Spa Menu described a variety of tempting treatments. I recommend the Ponderosa Pine Therapy Massage. Masseuse Abby had a 6th sense about technique & pressure. Second visit was yesterday and I practically had the whole place to myself it was AWESOME! First of all search travelzoo for off season discounts. I bought a 50 min massage for $99, and my friend went with a 75 min massage for $139. Plus with travelzoo you get a free gift, one free yoga type class & access to the fitness center. So set it all up & plan to spend 3-4 hours there. Get a massage & facial, work a yoga class into the mix & spend some time in the outdoor hot tubs. Shower & use the steam room or dry sauna and definitely use all of the products they have available! Sofia was my massage therapist & she was amazing, I wished I had longer than 50 min with her. I visited the spa and had a massage and facial. I had a travelzoo voucher, so I thought I had scheduled a regular 50 min massage and a regular 50 min facial. Somehow I was scheduled for a different type of facial than I had ever had before, and it included microdermabrasian and a type of peel. I'm newer to facials so I honestly didn't know the side effect to these types of treatments or if I had any allergies. And to be totally honest, had I known that these things were part of my services I would have declined them. I have been blessed with really great skin and don't like to do too much to mess with it. But none of these things were communicated to me. No one told me the type of facial I was getting. My facialist didn't ask me any questions about my skin, and there was no questionnaire, there was no liability form or anything. I laid on the table for my treatment and all of a sudden she was putting some type of machine on my face! I was so surprised, but I thought, "this must just be part of it at a fancier place..." Like I said, I'm new to facials and had no idea what to expect. But I have had a handful of facials and this has never happened before! 1/2 way through the facial my skin started burning really badly. I told my facialist and she removed whatever product was on there. But then everything she put on my face after that continued to burn. Afterwards my face was bright red and extremely irritated. I had NO IDEA what they had done to my face. So I went to the front desk to ask and that was when they told me that she had applied a peel. I would have absolutely said NO to the peel. In fact, I did say no to the peel she was trying to up sell numerous times. So one would think, oh this girl doesn't want a peel, maybe I shouldn't put the one included in this facial on her face.. I wish someone would have explained to me the type of service I was scheduled for, because it was clearly a mistake. I wish the facialist would have explained what she was doing at each step, because I could have stopped her. It's 3 days later and my face is still recovering. I look like I have acne scars all over my face, and I have never had acne in my life. And I'm terrified that I will never have my beautiful, healthy complexion ever again. I can't believe the breakdown in communication on their end. Because of this reason alone I will not be going back. And if you choose to go, ask a ton of questions about your services, because I wouldn't trust them to communicate anything proactively. read more

My only complaint , and it was very annoying and significantly detracted from the experience, is that the "quiet" room where you wait for your treatment was anything but. Needed my hair done while I was on vacation and chose Spa Anjali salon since it was listed on Yelp. The salon was very neat and clean however my hair was very poorly done for such an expensive place. I had a horrible experience with Pam who rushed washing my hair, took a very long time to blow dry my hair and curled it horribly even missing some spots which left me with some straight pieces. The most ridiculous thing of all was the price. When called for a blowout and they had told me it would be 70$ with long hair and then when I had got there and was half way in, she quoted me 100$ for curls which is outrageous. If you're gonna charge 100$, at least make sure you have good stylists and happy clients read more

Came here once I realized I am not a skier. After a half day on the mountain, the man and I needed a couples massage more than we need to get back out there and try again on the slopes. It was a Saturday morning and I called in around 9am and was fit in for a 1pm couples massage (after several other spas told us they were completely booked so I consider us lucky to get in). We opted for the 75 minute massages. Upon arriving, the front desk girls were very nice and helpful. The locker room was nice and open. The robe I was given had a large hole in the side....but I wore it anyway. The hot tubs outside were OK. When the woman on the phone told us they had heated spas, she neglected to include the hot tubs were outside and open to all other guests. It wasn't very relaxing.... Went back inside after a few and prepared for the massage. There was a very short meet and greet with the masseuses. We got jipped by about 10 minutes because they were running behind. The massages were WAY too overpriced and I've had much better by a Massage Envy in Houston. Overall we paid right at $500 with the tip that was added to the check. I will say, though, that the hot tea provided in the locker room was absolutely delicious and I appreciated that the womens locker room offered razors, lotions, hair serums, etc. According to my boyfriend, his locker room didn't offer near as many goodies. Will probably plan better and try somewhere else in the future. read more

Joe Joe has won me over! I have lived in the Vail Valley since 1994 and have struggled to find a hair cutter that is worth the standard price $100 for a cut. I have tried every where, the Vail athletic club, Bang'lz (the worst), Posh, West One, and Bliss. Joe Joe was punctual, listened to me intently, spent the time to make the cut perfect. The spa is lovely - treatments are hit or miss. My bikini and brow wax were outstanding. The massage, mani/pedi was terrible. I booked a Deep Tissue - I asked the therapist 4 times to go deeper. It was like being gently rubbed by baby hands...for almost two uncomfortable hours. I wanted deep tissue! For goodness sakes it's a sports club too - they ought to know what deep means. When I checked out they asked if I'd like to add a 20% gratuity - I said no and complained. They did nothing. The nail tech filed the top layers of my nails to paper. They all tore, and the polish lasted about 2 days. At $120 it's disgraceful. I called yesterday and left a message for the manager... no response. Not at impressed. Sadly this has been a top spa for me until today. My friend and I showed up 2 hours early for our massage and were rudely told we were too early. Meanwhile I had called the day before explaining we wanted to hot tub, shower and relax prior. We were told to go to the fitness locker room and see if we could get into the hot tubs. We were not escorted, given robes or towels and felt extremely thrown off and as if we were putting them out. I am leaving this review for my facial only. It was really not a good experience. It started out with my aesthetician tell me she had something wrong with her spine so she regularly needs to roll her back out. Which... ok. I have incredibly sensitive skin and told her this. She recommended a special treatment that was $35 more so my face wouldn't be red. I said no about 5 times but felt bullied into it so I finally gave in and said yes. She then put bags on my hand and said since the other treatment was so expensive, she was giving me a hand treatment for $5 that was normally $20. I didn't even get a chance to consent to that $5. The special treatment that she put on made my skin actually burn and I am still pretty red in the face 3 days later. Which I did tell her about the burning pretty quickly and she removed it. However, did I even get the benefit of the $35 extra treatment? She then asked me if I was on any medication and i said yes and told her what I was on, plus supplements. She asked me why I was on supplements and I told her I was going through IVF. She then asked if I really had to be on the supplements. Apparently she is a reproductive endocrinologist now. when I said yes. She just said hmph. The whole facial was not gentle in any way. She would slap things on my eyes, without wiping off the excess. She slapped something on my lips, she was so fast and rough with washing my face. There was no arm massage like i was told there would be. And at the end, when I said it felt like a lot of product was on my eye lashes and I was worried it would get in my eyes, she got defensive and told me I am feeling the mascara on my eyes that I didn't take off before the appt. which isn't true. When I wiped my eyes, there was white product on my eye lashes. What I realized after I left is that she was so rushed because she kept having to roll out her back. I am all for people with injuries working, but it shouldn't affect the service you give. I will never go back for a facial and an extremely disappointed that I added on that experience. read more

I recommend this spa 100 percent. I had a 75 minute facial from Tracey, and it was hands down the best facial I've ever had. I've had hundreds of facials too. Their spa is a very calming environment, and put me in a very zen state after my stressful drive from Breckenridge. I was offered tea or cucumber water and a variety of healthy dried fruits. You are then seated in their spa relaxation area for a nominal wait. ( unless you choose to go earlier and enjoy the serenity.) Tracey did exfoliation, extractions, masks and massages.( they have many different facials, find the one best for you) I've had the best experience here. I will be back soon. Amazing. read more
