From start to finish, this was one of the best spa experiences I have ever had. If you get a facial request Janine.

I came here after hearing so much positive about Betty's. I wasn't quite sure what to expect, aside…read morefrom a nice, relaxing space. When entering, I liked checking in and getting a robe, slippers, and guidance to the locker room. It was a nice space where quiet ambiance was maintained. I waited in the designated area and was greeted by my therapist. I appreciated the assistance on and off the table as a 8.5 month pregnant lady with adjustable tables. The massage was fantastic and I especially enjoyed the time after the massage where they allow you to just rest and relax for a few moments before you get dressed. I loved every moment of my massage and only wish it was longer!

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE…read more They no longer offer the ability to soak as a part of your normal services, which is not advertised anywhere on their website. This is standard practice at any SPA, no matter what part of the world you are in. Doesn't matter if you are at the Ritz, Woldorf Astoria, Four Seasons, or a resort in Europe, Asia, or South America. When you go to a spa, you automatically have access to all the spa's amenities. This includes tubs and saunas. There are no spa amenities here. If you are paying premium prices, you would expect a premium experience. Keep looking because you are not going to get that at Betty's Day Spa. To make matters worse, their customer service is horrendous! One would think that, if there is a medical emergency, they would allow you to at the very least reschedule your services. They do not. Thank goodness I do not live here and can go back to my normal masseuse next week.

I've been twice now, and really impressed both times with Jolene for both waxing and facials. She…read morereally knows her stuff, and she really listened to my concerns about my skin and my waxing preferences (I'm kind of a micromanager when it comes to my eyebrows!!) Also, during the facial she also gave me a "mini massage" which was really wonderful. I don't actually live in Albuquerque, but if I did Skin Bliss would definitely by my go-to place. The other reviewer was correct-- I do not think they have a receptionist to make appointments. Both times I booked online and it was very easy. Also for both appointments the salon was running on time, which I really appreciated. The atmosphere there is really nice without being stuffy. I give Skin Bliss my highest recommendation!

EDIT TO ADDRESS THE REPLY FROM THE OWNER:…read more Yes, this was my second visit and as I mentioned, the service is very overpriced for what is offered. The only reason I booked a second time was because my usual place was fully booked before Halloween weekend and yours had an opening. The setup and the price were an issue, but I still gave it a chance simply because of timing. The first time was fine just overpriced and not luxury. As for the timeline you described, it isn't accurate. My appointment was on Thursday. I noticed the issue starting on Saturday, and by Tuesday the polish on my big toe was completely off. I messaged you after that. Yes, I replied two days later -- because I work -- but that doesn't change the fact that the polish failed almost immediately. The bigger issue was the week-long gap in communication. I followed up on Thursday, then a full week passed with no response, so I followed up again on Wednesday, and again on Friday. Only then did I finally hear back. That's why I didn't feel comfortable coming back in. This is silly but the big toe is not a minor detail lmao -- it's the largest nail and made up nearly half of the overall pedicure. Getting $20 back total (about $10 for the toe and $10 for the tip) from an $85 service felt dismissive given the situation, especially since the polish didn't hold up past the first few days. I'm simply sharing my honest experience so others know what to expect. I'm glad you stand behind your work, but my experience with the result, the communication, and the refund policy was not positive ORIGINAL REVIEW: This review is in regards to a gel pedicure with Jolene. Extremely disappointing experience: overpriced, unprofessional, and poorly handled. I really wanted to like this place, but my experience was terrible from start to finish. First, the pedicure setup isn't what you'd expect for the price. There's no sink or proper pedicure station. She heats up water and pours it into one of those small vibrating foot tubs you can buy on Amazon. For an $85 gel pedicure, that alone feels extremely overpriced. I had my appointment on Thursday. Over the weekend, I noticed on Saturday that something was already starting to look off on my big toe. By Tuesday, the polish had completely come off that toe. This is the big toe, basically half the pedicure lmao and the polish clearly hadn't been applied or cured properly. I reached out as soon as I noticed the issue and followed up multiple times. I didn't get a reply for more than a week. When she finally responded, the blame was put on my "positioning," which was frustrating and dismissive considering the photos clearly showed the problem. I would not have minded at all if I could've come in promptly manner (not two weeks later at this point). What made the situation even worse was the "solution" offered. She refused to refund the service and instead gave me $20 total. She clarified she could refund me for the one toe lol. Essentially $10 for the toe and $10 for the tip I had already left. Getting $10 back for the biggest toe on an $85 service was honestly insulting. She did offer to fix the toe, of course. But by this time, I did not feel comfortable. It had already been two weeks since my appointment. On top of that, the location is in Old Town, so depending on the day you sometimes have to pay for parking. Between gas, parking, and the long delay in communication, going back in was not reasonable. I've had plenty of gel pedicures, and this was by far the worst quality and worst customer service I've ever experienced. I paid premium pricing for a pedicure that didn't last even a few days and took over a week to get any meaningful response. Definitely won't return, and I would not recommend this place at all.
