My experience here at First was OK. I had an interview with Tiara and I waited and waited up until they had their fair the hiring event I called every single day. She was there one day she left which was understandable and then she told me I basically had the job but I just had to wait till after the hiring event. She never called me to update me about anything. I called today June 15 at 3:20 PM. The receptionist answered the phone and tells me Tiara's there all of a sudden we get disconnected. I called back 6 to 7 times all went to voicemail all of a sudden please do not work here or even come here. There communication is poor. very unprofessional. read more

I was surprised by my husband for my birthday with a massage and weekend trip at the kingsmill resort he book me for a 10:00 a.m. massage on Friday morning. We arrived at 10:00 a.m., masked as out state mandates. Entering the Spa, the receptionist offered no greeting. No Good Morning, no Hello welcome to the spa. Not 1 word. Yes I was expecting a greeting. So that made me feel unwelcome. She just really just looked at me from being the COIVD partition. I said Hello, I have a 10 am appt. Gave her my last name. she gave me a form to fill out. I quickly dismissed her because yes today was about ME and it was my birthday. Due to a recent surgery I had a limitation that I wanted to speak to the massage therapist. She went to get her from the back. Brittney was my massage therapist for my Swedish massage. She played relaxing music to help me relax. There were no calming scents throughout the room like other spas. Brittany gave me a pretty good massage no concentration on her areas that I had mentioned on the form. Just basic textbook massage. There was time taken away from the service looking for a specific table type. That I noticed was not given back to the appt upon finishing. So my 50 minute was more like 30 minutes as yes i did watch the clock! There are products for sale there also. I was not shown any by the receptionist she just said my services were covered. Which I already knew since hubby gifted to me. Part of the Spa experience is a luxury most appreciate as a whole relaxation experiences , this was not the vibe once I left the room. I of my close friends checked in later that day. I could not even recommend The spa to them. I appreciated hubbys gift but The Spa at Kingsmill could use some customer service read more

KingsMill Spa is the worst at calling people back to book appointments. I'm a member and it's frustrating!

The massage (50 minute Swedish) and therapist were deserving of 5-stars. I was quite pleased with that aspect of the spa. The rest of it though was less than stellar. I thankfully arrived 30 minutes in advance (they recommend 15 - 20 minutes). Apparently a key staff member had given abrupt notice of quitting and the other staff was in disarray. I had to wait almost 15 minutes to be taken to the locker rooms which looked like a bomb had gone off inside. Robes, sandals, and water cups were strewn everywhere, and most of the locker doors were flung open and empty rather than replenished with clean robes and sandals for the next guest. The lighting was harsh and glaring, not the least bit relaxing or soothing. I was assigned a locker and asked to complete a health survey (standard operating procedure) once I got into my robe. The robe had no belt, my folder with the survey was empty, and the pen was broken. Not a great start! I had to re-dress and return to the lobby area to request all of the above. I finally made it to the waiting area, again brightly lit, and very tiny. I sat at a glass-top table to complete my survey and noticed it was smeared and greasy. There was dust on everything and I ended up sitting outside even though it was hot because I didn't want to chance the upholstery and blankets being unwashed/unclean against my skin. Pretty gross and a real turn-off. As I said, the massage itself and my therapist were great, no complaints there at all. However after I finished and returned to the lobby to pay, the salon staff was training on the registers and I had to wait. I sat on a bench and realized that the glass shelves where products for sale were displayed was again filthy with smears and dust. Someone needs to deep clean the entire place! read more

For what I'm paying, you should either be able to make my 20 inches of hair stay in curls, or tell me that it won't and suggest something else. On the other hand, the french mani/pedi was the best and most durable I've ever had. And thanks SO much for being open Sundays. The rest of Williamsburg really needs to get with the program on that. read more

3.5 stars I was gifted a day of rejuvenation. It was a very relaxing day overall. All the staff were very friendly. They give you a locker and robe and shoes when you get there. The shoes were hard plastic slide on sandals, wish they were more comfortable. I enjoyed the massage and that the masseuse took time to give me tips on different concerns. The facial felt very nice and the woman was very friendly. We chatted, but I wish she would have explained the process more and given me some more specific skin care tips other than pushing a certain product. She did give me some samples which I appreciated, and I definitely saw improvement in my skin the same day. Lunch was disappointing. I got a sandwich which was very small and for the price they can definitely do better than a sandwich or salad for lunch. The nail service was also mediocre. The polish on my hands and feet started chipping the same day and I would have expected my hands and feet to feel a lot softer for a "spa" service. Overall I enjoyed the experience and may return for a massage or facial. I also made a day of it and took advantage of the steam room and whirlpool downstairs afterwards. read more

The Spa at Kingsmill has brought a bit of New York City to Williamsburg. Kristina Reynoso a new Hairdresser at the salon comes from the Warren Tricomi Salon on Madison Avenue . She brings with her years of training and talent unmatched in this community. Her hair cuts and coloring skills are the best we have seen here in 20 years. My entire family just found Krisrtina, and we are all different and each one of us loves our hair now. After many years of going to a many time olympic winner and judge in many international hair shows it was hard to find anyone that could come close. Trial and error and now WE have found the right person at the Spa and in our own back yard. What a fantastic reward for all of us to experience read more

I've been in the spa industry for over 20 years and have been to spas in several continents. The decor/ ambience of the spa is ok, nothing to rave about. The lounge overlooks the pool, resort and river. The rooms are standard. But the therapists? Divine! I was disappointed to learn that you can only visit this spa if you are a hotel guest. When I called to make an appointment, the reservationist took down all of my information and booked my services before even relaying that important fact. When I asked if I could stop by early to tour the facility, she finally asked if I was a guest and I told her no. Apparently they changed the policy two weeks ago and only guest are allowed at the spa. She stated she forgot to ask at the beginning of our conversation. Thanks goodness I said something. I would have driven 40 minutes for nothing. I was super excited about my birthday spa day. Good way to lose business and paying customers. read more

My 55 minute pedicure ended up being 25 minutes. After the technician cut my nails she flung the clippings back into the water - where my feet were. It's hard to believe this place is actually a spa. Polish started chipping after a few days. read more

I've had many massages at many different spas, but my massage here was definitely one of the best that I have ever had. My expectations were completely exceeded. I loved relaxing in the lounge prior to my massage and each staff member was extremely kind and accommodating. The massage itself was amazing and so relaxing. A friend and I were treated to a full day at the spa. I was hesitant to go because of the low ratings, but decided to give it a chance. I'm glad we did. We had a wonderful experience and highly recommend. The staff was knowledgeable and very professional. The package included lunch, and it was more than we could eat. Each treatment was amazing. While the spa had all the amenities... they were all old and in need of attention. The whirlpool needs a serious scrubdown, if not a teardown and replacement. There was a large, dead centipede floating around - SUPER gross. The shower stalls were cramped and looked like they needed cleaning. The locker room was OK but outdated, decor-wise; not relaxing at all. The staff was very friendly but for my massage, I had to walk across the main lobby in my robe, which was NOT a comforting feeling. My massage itself was nice but for the prices, I'll be going elsewhere. read more

I recently had a facial here with Mon, and I must say that it was a fantastic experience! I definitely recommend this place!

Received a deep tissue massage. The woman didn't even touch my back side (calves, hamstring, low back) She simply went down the side of my legs. Most of her effort was focused on shoulders upper body. The deep tissue wasn't comparable to a regular massage. Very weak. The therapist seemed tired and put little effort into the massage. The bathroom smelled of mold/mildew. I complained on a Friday via email with no response. I called on Saturday the manager Jessica was away for the weekend. I called Monday Jessica was out to lunch. I am thinking if you have a customer complaint via email and phone and why isn't it being addressed before your lunch break. Called back later finally got a hold of Jessica. She said she would issue a refund and follow up with me after speaking to the massage therapist. I heard nothing. Two days later I am fed up. I call hotel management explain to him my situation. This spa has poor and unprofessional management." During the massage itself, you will receive stimulation in the deep muscle and connective tissue from the therapist's hands, elbows, forearms, fingertips, and/or knuckles in order to relieve the tense trouble spots in your musculature" This was not a deep tissue it was a regular old massage with no effort and no attention to the back side of your body. Stayed at the resort for several days and booked a couple's massage and facials weeks in advance to make sure we got in. Spa was clean and very nice. Staff was excellent and we both loved our massages and facials. They have a whirlpool and sauna for relaxing post-treatments and of course a full line of products available for purchase. Received a product recommendation sheet from Cassandra and loved the eminence products; needless to say, i spent a small fortune on products post-facial :). Would absolutely book again! read more

Had a massage 50 minute scheduled for 3pm - massage didn't start until 3:12, and wrapped up at 350 sharp. Cheated me out of 12 minutes. Also, I told her my back had been in pain for awhile, and I would like her to focus on that area. No pressure, weakest massage I've ever had. Will not be returning. read more

Front desk staff was rude and disorganized. They did not call me for my scheduled appt from their waiting room. I check in with them when I came in and then again after about 15 minutes. Somehow they over looked my appt, never called me and when I went back up to the front desk to find out what was going on - they blamed me for not checking in. I was then sent back for my appt with a Masseuse who was clearly angry. The entire experience was the worst spa experience ever, I have never gone back. read more

I stayed at kingsmill for a few days to pamper myself, and I chose to get a massage at the spa. I figured if I liked the spa and facilities I would book some more treatments. My massage itself was excellent and my masseuse did a wonderful job! I have no problem paying for an expensive massage if it warrants it and the facilities are nice, but the spa itself is dirty and old. The rooms where you are massaged are on the main hallways and I could hear things being moved around outside. Afterwards, I hoped to use the whirlpool and steam room. I went to take a shower and they hadn't been cleaned recently (I make this judgement based on the amount of hair in the stalls). I went to the whirlpool area and found that no one was in the whirlpool, steam room and sauna and I understand why, it just doesnt feel relaxing or clean. I got into the whirlpool and saw all the grout was moldy and the tile really dirty. I couldnt relax and got out almost immediately. I dont think I will come back to this spa unless they do some remodeling. For these prices, the facilities should be much nicer. read more
