The manicure and pedicure took way too long due to the nail dryers being unavailable and not working, which resulted in me being in the salon for an hour longer than planned. However, they made it right by offering me a huge discount on each service and I appreciated them apologizing and making it right. My hotel recommended this place. There were 3 employees but when I asked for a gel manicure there was no availability until 1pm. In a tourist city this type of service does not make sense and is not welcoming. I visited Spa Atlantis on 8/2/2014 for my 30th birthday!!! My husband treated me to the 6 hour Atlantis Complete Relaxation package! Here are all the details (I took notes during my visit so I could be as accurate as possible)!! RESERVATION: I spoke with Katie D. She was friendly, warm, welcoming and thorough. She even answered some questions before I could ask them (like would lunch come with the package). I wanted to upgrade my massage and get a certain masseur and that was flawlessly handled as well. I had dinner plans after my spa day and she assured me that I could use their facilities to get ready so I wouldn't have to go back home! ARRIVAL: I was greeted by Katie when I got there. She asked if I'd like a mimosa, water, coffee or tea. INSERT MIMOSA #1!!! She had me view the lunch menu (included) and make my selection so that everything would be ordered and ready during the time designated for my lunch. She had David take me on the tour of the spa (the lounge, locker room, showers and restrooms. FACILITY: It is a small facility, but it's very welcoming. The hair and nail portion are downstairs. The treatment rooms are upstairs. I love that because the separation allows for quiet treatment rooms. Although it's a busy area, there are no windows in the treatment rooms so you do not hear any of the French Quarter noise back there. I LOVE the exposed brick. Locker/shower/bathroom/lounge areas kept very clean. Unisex locker/shower/bathroom/lounge (not an issue for me - meet nice people). SEA MUD WRAP with ASHLEY (75 min) (11am-12pm) Ashley had great conversation but not overwhelming. Enough to show she's interested but not so much that you can't relax. I wasn't really sure what to expect from this. Just thought it would be cool to try something new and it was included in the package. How in the world she managed to do this treatment and not have mud all over the room escapes me, but she did it. Not sure what it was supposed to do, but it left me feeling really clean and refreshed! The foot massage (while the mud set) was excellent. It did end about 15 mins short, but there was really nothing else for her to do lol! I got the full treatment in the hours time. WARM STONE MASSAGE with ADRIAN (75 min) (12:30pm-1:45pm) Amazing!!! This man's hands must have been touched by God! I requested him because of all of the feedback about him and I'm so glad I did. He asked what type of pressure I usually like and I told him deeper pressure. He explained that warm stone massages are generally lighter in pressure but he would go deeper for me ... and that he did! Great balance of deep pressure and light stone touch. I think he's European and some of the techniques he used were new to me and great! I HIGHLY recommend him. *INSERT MIMOSA #2* LUNCH (1:50pm-2:30pm) My lunch was waiting when I got out. The restaurant did not have what I ordered so Katie had to order an alternate for me (after calling 3 other restaurants to see if anyone had the item). She made a great choice and still got me the sides I originally ordered. The food was good. ATLANTIS FACIAL with WHITNEY (50 min( (2:30pm-3:20pm) Whitney was very skilled and knowledgable. She lets you know exactly what she's doing every step of the way and lets you know of anything she notices during your treatment. I had some questions about getting a peel and she explained the process and gave me recommendations on products to use before getting the peel. *INSERT MIMOSA #3* DELUXE MANICURE with DORIS (50 min) (3:35pm-4:25pm) Doris has an amazing spirit. She is an absolute sweetheart and cancer survivor! I absolutely loved talking to her during my manicure. She gave me some tips on strengthening my nails and helped me pick an amazing color. The products used are of quality. The polish application was average. Service great. *INSERT MIMOSA #4 DELUXE PEDICURE with DORIS (60 min) (4:30pm-5:15pm) I requested that we shave a little time off of this service because I needed to give everything time to dry so I could shower (poor planning on my part). PLUS I keep my feet in pretty good condition so I didn't really need all that time. Our great conversation continued throughout this service also. The polish application was average. Service great. Doris told me that if I messed any nails up while showering she'd fix them for me! *INSERT MIMOSA #5 (while my nails dried) OVERALL It was a great experience. Everyone made me feel welcomed and like I was family. The customer service was just amazing. By the end of my visit everyone knew the occasion and wished me a happy bday. And they really do give you a drink with every service - which we all see I took full advantage of lol!!! I'll definitely be going to them for my "spa day" needs. read more

TIP: There are two locations of the Spa Atlantis within 10 minutes walking of each other. Google Maps sent me to the wrong one when I typed in "Spa Atlantis" and because I didn't realize there were two, I didn't double check the address. Luckily, they were very understanding about the mistake and my being 15 minutes late was not a problem. FRENCH MANI & PEDI: It took about two hours for my french mani/pedi, which was done meticulously (and so far, is lasting much longer than any other mani/pedi I've ever gotten). I also had a few split nails which she patched with a layer of pink shellac - genius, as it not only held up for the weekend, but is still holding up almost a week later. It was VERY pricey though - $95 after tip!!! Definitely not an amount I'd normally pay to have nails done, but I had a special event to go to and being able to have my split nails fixed for the occasion was totally worth it. read more

Clean friendly environment. Am used to going to spas at hotel resorts which are exceptional, but this place answered the call. I had a 1000 appointment because I was catching a flight at 1300. They do not open until 10 but let me in early to shower and change. Dressing room was detailed clean. Fresh robes towels and sandals hanging ready to be used. Once out I made my way to massage room. Building has Nola feels through out. My masseuse came in, I had Jess, who was nothing but professional and could tell she has been doing it for a while. (New Orleans Local) The salon staff is friendly and professional. I was able to easily joke around with my stylist and she listened carefully to what I was looking for. Parking might be a bit of a problem since there is no dedicated lot. This is perfect for those staying in the French Quarter though. If you are taking an Uber/Lyft do yourself and the driver a favor and watch your map as you are driving with them and offer to get out a few blocks away if you see construction or something blocking the path. Downtown is filled with one ways, and it will save both of you time and energy if you can be flexible with traffic and walk a block. If you are driven there, look for the blue doors on Bienville on the left side. You can't miss them! read more

DON'T WALK BUT RUN FOR YOUR HAIR CARE NEEDS!!! Vincent is AMAZING!!! I'm somewhat new to living in New Orleans and I'm super picky with who I trust in doing my hair. I've had it ruined many times in AL when a few highlights turned into bleach blonde and zebra stripes. I've been growing it out for years now and my first attempt at finding a local hair specialist, they chopped off way too much despite my request for minimal trim. I was scared to try someone else but did some research and found this place with great reviews. I was at the point I really was overdue for a cut and the last bit of blonde to go bye bye. Was worried about an over cutter 2.0 but as soon as I got to my appointment here, I was welcomed and fully listened to. I was greeted by the front desk with kindness and offerings of champagne while I waited (although only had to wait 30 seconds!! Lovely ). Vincent came to grab me and talk about what I wanted. He listened so thoroughly and was so sweet and talented throughout the entire appointment. Got an amazing deep conditioning treatment and he gave me the best cut I think I've ever had. Very good massage with a lovely, kind, gentle therapist. Nice that they offer a (small) steam room, and small relaxing area, plus showers and amenities like lotion and razors (please add plastic combs! That's the only thing i really could have used and didn't have on me after a shower). The experience from check-in to check-out was really quite lovely, even on a day they said was very busy, and i even got a same day appointment. It's pricier than other massages in the area (other places i called charged around $85 for a full hour instead of $100 for 50 minutes), but there is the added benefit of steam, showers, etc if that's something you like! read more

I first noticed the charming building and cute decor. I felt immediately relaxed upon entering. I had Zarah as my therapist and she was AMAZING!
