Their administrative policies are a dealbreaker and I just walked out because they wouldn't let me sign-in without uploading my ID. 1. Any time the list of "fees" for their perceived appointment violations is arms-length long ... go somewhere else. 2. I phoned in my appointment and then she wanted to negotiate with me to get my credit card; no way. My appointment was 15 minutes later; I told her I would pay when I arrived ... in 15 minutes. 3. I went to fill out the pre-service form for a wax but it wouldn't upload without my drivers license uploaded - not interested. 4. She said the only way I could bi-pass the uploaded ID requirement was to pay in cash. I said no. 5. She said I was cancelling the appointment then, so I did. 6. Now I noticed that they removed my review from last year; the one where I complained about them wanting you to leave a tip for the front desk employee. I'm sure the wax itself is fine; it was last year. I presume they have a lot of employee turnover as the Aesthetician saw her tip walk away when I walked out the door. Silly policies. read more

I booked a prenatal massage. The massage was ok and I've had prenatal massages before. They offered a pregnancy pillow so I could lay on my side and not the right type of pillow to lay on my stomach. I was very disappointed in this and would not recommend them for a prenatal massage. They also put me in a room with just a curtain. Everytime the phone rang I could hear it and any customers that walked in. I just wasn't able to relax like I was hoping to. They should not offer the prenatal massage. read more

I'll start by saying I'm a massage enthusiast because I regularly work out and have seen how a good massage and physical therapy can be vital but this massage, welll this massage was just life changing. Sharonda has me breathing in the most calming scents that helped me relax my tense muscles and before you know it I was in the most relaxed trance. I have never felt so seen, she broke down all my tough spots and soft rubbed my more tender areas. My husband had an equally wonderful experience with Luther, he came offf the massage bed singing praises and let's just say he's not easily impressed. For a location in the heart of the French Quarter, you'd never believe that it would melt away with the closing of the door. We were secluded in the waiting area with a glass of champagne while we awaiting couples massages and facials. This spa is clean, peaceful and ready to receive you. Skye's massage relaxed me to within an inch of rest and Katsia's facial tucked me in-- I was snoring. This was the BEST spa experience I've ever had. You will NOT be disappointed. Cicely gave me a post operative lymphatic massage that was 120 minutes. I had just had a colon resection after a cancer diagnosis. I came away feeling that Cicely had done a very good job. A much needed relaxing hour at Thrive Nola Spa. I was in town for the weekend for a wedding and booked a spa hour for overdue relaxation. The spa is conveniently located on a quiet street in the French Quarter. I was greeted by name as I entered the doors and was offered a compliment mimosa to start the wind down process. Luther was amazing! He used the perfect amount of pressure and also checked on me throughout the session to make sure I was comfortable. I have been to many spas, the experience at Thrive has been one of my favorites. I will definitely be back the next time I am in town and will recommend family and friends visiting. read more

I paid for deep tissue for my dear friend and she said the "masseuse" clearly did not know what he was doing. Barely touched a section for ten seconds. She repeatedly stated that it was supposed to be a deep tissue massage and I wanted more pressure. Nothing changed. By the time she left she was just covered in oil and said it was the worst massage she's ever received. She's a trained professional dancer in town performing and gets massages regularly. Y'all, when I tell you that this was THEE best massage I ever had I am speaking the honest truth. Let's get into it: so your girl was in NOLA for a weekend and i had been saying I was in desperate need for a massage. I was walking down the streets and noticed a sign that said, "thrive" and anything with that word peaks my interest. So my friend and I walk down and as soon as we walked in we felt at peace. The place was beautifully decorated, the smell was relaxing, and the man at the counter (with the beard) welcomed us with the most friendly smile. I immediately said, "take my money." I scheduled an appointment for the next day and it was so simple. I even received a confirmation call later that day. When I arrived I was offered a beverage while I filled out the intake forms behind the privacy curtain. I went into the first room and it was just as magical as the waiting area. They have a place for you to store all your belongings safely and (this was my favorite) they have a button that you can push to alert the therapist when you're done undressing. This was a favorite for me because the other places that I go to knock too soon or knock so late that it's 10 minutes within my session time and I like all my time, okay? So, I had Mr. Ronald and baby he had the hands of blessings. He listened to me, and my body, on areas that needed more work. He was super professional and made sure I felt comfortable. When I asked for deeper pressure he gave it to me and baby, don't ask for deep if you aren't ready because he worked a knot out on my quad and I felt my nasal passages open up.
