Such a contrast to the facial I got elsewhere! I tried another place in SB about 6 weeks prior to this one and it was very underwhelming. I was planning on shopping around for a good spa but I think that I'll have to stop at this one. Alicia was amazing! I'll definitely be requesting her next time. She asked me about my skin (already a step up from the previous place I went to) and was clearly so knowledgeable about how to help it. I have frequent breakouts on my chin which she let me know was likely hormonal. I had figured it was dietary. She then asked me about medications that I am on, and whether I was a vegetarian (which I am). When I left she recommended some omega blend vitamins to take which would help better than topical treatments. The actual facial was so relaxing. The cinnamon mask that she applied had a faux heat to it and I could really feel my acne coming to the surface. And she is an amazing masseuse! She massaged my shoulders which I desperately needed. I only splurge on facials every 6-8 weeks but I'll definitely be back here next time. read more

On 1/6/24, I had a classic facial service with Marissa. This was the first facial I had in probably 20 years, and I booked an appointment because I was on a weekend girl friends getaway to Santa Barbara. I knew I would be relaxed, but this experience was on another level of relaxed! The vibe in this quaint spa is very quiet, serene, and peaceful. Marissa herself is a calming presence, and I felt comfortable immediately. The room was the perfect warm temperature, the lights were perfectly dimmed, and soft music was playing in the background. The classic facial services includes a light scalp, neck, shoulder, and arm massage, down to the fingertips. And the foot massage was just enough pressure to induce even more relaxation. Marissa gave me such a great facial, with my skin feeling so soft and healthy afterwards. It was the highlight of my weekend getaway. If I come back, I hope to book with Marissa again! I was able to very easily make an appointment for a Brazilian. It was the first time I had ever had sugaring done an I was pleasantly surprised. Ripping hairs from your nether regions is never a fun time, but it was as good as it can be. I would definitely recommend Spa Cia. Her methods were very sanitary and she has a no double-dipping policy, which I put a lot of importance to. She was friendly, attentive, very informative, and very quick. I started going to Alicia when I was in high school and she has always been so sweet, easy going, excellently priced, and quick (Brazilian waxes). I've never had a bad experience. She makes it incredibly comfortable and her place is adorable! I met Star just in the past year but she is SUCH a sweetheart, and genuinely cares about your skin and how it reacts to different techniques and chemicals per se. Had a Brazilian wax with Alicia at Spa Cia and she is AMAZING! Not only did she talk me through the whole thing, but she made a very uncomfortable situation, completely relaxed. It was like getting a wax from your best friend! Best part of the whole wax is the product and technique she uses. Waxing, no matter where on my body, normally give me some sort of a reaction, but not this time. Not one drop of blood or red rash at all - sugar waxing. I have had some scary experiences with waxing here in town and Alicia is second to none. Her spa is very clean and the ambiance is warm and welcoming. I recently had shoulder surgery and booked a massage with Danica to work out some of the kinks I had developed in my back in result to compensating for the injured shoulder. I had a terrific Deep Tissue massage from Selah. After having spinal fusion surgery two years ago, I still have some issues with pain and occasional muscle spasms.
