Horrible experience, I booked a couples massage with two females and an hour later I was called back and told we couldn't do those massages as couples and we would have to satchel to something else or sit and wait for each of us to go separately. I was then told two females were no longer available. I then was told I would get a discount for the inconvenience and when I checked out and $720 later, she receptionist stated I would not get a discount. Pissed I will never come here again and the treatments were definitely not worth $720!!! I asked for more pressure and never got it either. Just a disappointment. I was not happy with the treatment, so don't put words in my mouth that I walked out over the moon. Needless to mention your staff booked us for the scrub treatment together and was clearly in the wrong for not knowing it couldn't be booked together, so I had to pick a treatment that we didn't want just so we can be in the same room together. All of this could have been avoided if your staff knew what they were doing, hence the reason for the terrible tip! read more

I was in town for a conference and had extra time so I stopped in for a "pure bliss" treatment and it lived up to its name! For 90 minutes, I got a sugar scrub, massage, and a facial from Sage. It was the perfect pressure and she matched my relaxing energy. They have a lounge with a fireplace with snacks, water and tea and an outdoor patio area for a backyard retreat. I loved the decor and the location was easy to find and had lots of parking around it. The only negative is that its location is near other businesses that had drumming and sidewalk drilling happening--but it became part of the vibe after getting used to it. read more

Extremely misleading booking experience. We booked FLOAT specifically because it was represented as being at the Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort, where we were staying. After booking, FLOAT informed us our appointments were actually Downtown. That is not what we booked or agreed to purchase. A business should not represent one location during booking and then expect customers to accept a different location afterward. We requested immediate cancellation and a full refund. Completely unacceptable. Absolutely horrible customer service. UPDATE 8-24-2026: FLOAT charged me $450.00 now wants me to take down this review. I booked a couples massage during our stay at the Hilton Santa Barbara, specifically because we were staying at the property and wanted to enjoy some time away from the kids without having to leave the hotel. When I initially booked, the spa contacted me regarding the time. I explained that I had intentionally chosen the later appointment because we were staying at the hotel. The employee responded, "Oh, okay," and confirmed that we would see them at 4:30. There was absolutely no indication that the couples massage was actually at a completely different location across town. So at 4:30, we walked over to the spa expecting our couples massage, only to be told that our appointment wasn't even at the property it was at another location across town. Seriously? Why would anyone staying at the hotel agree to that without being told? Especially after I specifically explained that I selected the later time because we were staying at the hotel. We even mentioned that we were having drinks and would be over shortly, and the employee confirmed the appointment. But what really has me steaming is that we were charged the full amount for the services. No one contacted us to clarify the location. No one warned us that the appointment was off-property. No one offered a solution when we arrived. Yet somehow, we were still charged 100% of the cost for a service we could not reasonably use because of their own communication failure. This was supposed to be a relaxing couples experience and some much-needed time away from the kids. Instead, it became incredibly frustrating and completely ruined what should have been a special part of our stay. I expect much better communication and customer service from a Hilton property and especially from a spa charging these kinds of prices. If you are booking a spa service here, I strongly recommend confirming the exact location in writing and making absolutely sure you understand where the appointment is before you show up. The most disappointing part isn't even the scheduling mistake -- mistakes happen. It's charging the full price after the mistake was clearly caused by their failure to properly communicate the location. read more

The front desk staff were attentive and kind. The locker rooms for changing were spacious and clean. Erin was amazing! She was friendly and professional. She shared the optional add-ons before we got started (I opted for the hot stones) and it was lovely. She checked on me a few times during the session and had great pressure throughout. Excellent treatments in a very cute location. The Euphoria treatment was wonderful - all three of us that went had excellent treatments. The only unfortunate thing is the locker room - it is so tiny (ten lockers on one small wall) that you are literally changing on top of your friends. Along with that, there isn't much of a shower to use either, which could be challenging with the oil in your hair if you want to wash it out. It would be helpful to know this going in, otherwise a 5* spa! read more

My husband and I both scheduled massages while on vacation in Oxnard and we were pretty disappointed by the quality of the massage. We have had many massages in our lives from lots of different people in different places. For the price, this massage did not live up. I have had better massages at massage schools. For one, when asked whether I wanted light or firm pressure I asked for medium to firm pressure and got very light pressure. I was not asked how the pressure was at any moment. There was no tucking of the sheet on the legs which felt vulnerable. The music was incredibly annoying ticking drum beats. Also the massage therapist had something sharp on their fingernail - everything time they went up and down my ankle it felt like I was being scratched. I thought maybe it was just me. My husband and I did not talk in between our massages but I found out later that he had a similar experience. He wasn't even asked at the beginning what pressure he wanted and the area he said he wanted her to focus on (upper back) she hardly spent any time there at all. $380 later I left feeling worse than I came in and 30 minutes into the massage I couldn't wait for it to be over. Oh, and at the end she lathered a bunch of lotion on her hands and rubbed it into my hair at the base of my neck and it just felt gross. I am always totally fine with a head massage and usually I expect to need to wash my hair after but it was so much lotion being rubbed into my hair that I hated what was is usually one of my favorite parts of a massage. We scheduled online and appts were available in thirty minute increments. We scheduled for 11:30 and 12:30 and then got a call saying they only schedule on the hour. We were able to be flexible but why make your appts available for the thirty minute mark online when that isn't an option. As someone who utilizes online scheduling I know this is something that can easily be fixed with a click of a button on their backend. I did email them about these issues and while I appreciate that they got back to me, their response that they will discuss with the therapist didn't make me feel any better because it was framed in "you should have communicated during the service". Maybe I could have said turn the music off or please change it. I did communicate my pressure preference though. Their response said that I signed up for a Swedish massage which is medium pressure. Then why ask me if I want firm? And why do light if I asked for medium to firm? The absence of tucking and poor nail filing is not something I should have to communicate. I think that the least they could have done is comp our massages in someway. I have been there before and had a great experience and I do not like how they handled my feedback. I would have liked a phone call and a sincere how can we make this right kind of customer service. I can't recommend this place and won't be going there again. read more

I came here years ago with a group for a bachelorette party and we all loved our experience and massages. I decided to come here again with my boyfriend since we were taking a weekend trip to SB for my bday. Unfortunately I had a less than enjoyable experience. For $150+tip, I expected to feel relaxed but my signature float massage was overall uncomfortable and painful. I asked for light pressure and got opposite of that. I also felt like I was not gently moved around like other massage experiences I've had - for example my arm would be picked up and then just dropped back down and not gently or slowly moved for a relaxing feeling. I didn't leave feeling rested and better. I was counting down the time. This only applied to my massage therapist. Luckily my boyfriend enjoyed his massage and it was his first time ever getting one. Overpriced and very Basic. My massage therapist Jenneil basically mailed it in. My husband and I had a couples massage. But we were not in the same room if that makes sense. We both had the signature float massage with medium pressure. I feel like my massage was not a massage at all but maybe just rubbing lotion into my skin. I also did the dry brush enhancement which took a total of 1-2 minutes and only was dry brushed on my back of my body. No front of my legs or my front of my arms or bottom of feet or upper chest area. Not sure what that was about. Also paid for a foot treatment. No massaging of feet. Just rubbed lotion on and took off lotion. So disappointing. My husband massage therapist was better but I can't speak for his experience only mine. We did 75 minutes with extra enhancements and we were out in 80 minutes. So apparently do not do enhancements if you want a full 75 minute massage. Our total cost was $620.00 - two 75 minute massages, 1 dry brush ($25) and 2 foot treatment $25 each) So not worth it. Take your business elsewhere. I did talk to the receptionist at the front. She was amazing and tried to be helpful. I asked only for them to comp the dry brush as it was so inadequate. She called me to tell me that the manager said no that's not possible. Lots of other places in Santa Barbara. read more

The only recommendation I have is that the lotion be warmed before the massage. My masseuse had cold hands, not her fault as it was a kind of chilly out, but the lotion was also cold each time it was applied. The Luxe facial has many high-tech benefits; (it should for over $200!!) however, the aestheticians make a big difference, I had one who was wonderful (Beverly) and one who talked the entire time in an accent I could not understand, smeared all the products right into the corners of my eyes and mouth and nose so I left with a stinging eye that took two days to wash the product out of my eye and my lashes, with very strong products.
