Pretty unfortunate experience. Do want to come back but a bit on the fence. Bought a massage treatment for my girlfriend and she was told that she was late to her appointment when she was way early. She is not confrontational so she didn't want to say that she must have gotten the appointments mixed up. Then because if the mishap ended up cutting the service 15 minutes short. Do want to come back but a little unsure. Hopefully next time the appointment is seen correctly. read more

Beautiful experience - I had walked in feeling exhausted and opted for the day pass. After several hours in the jacuzzi, sitting by the fire, and enjoying fresh fruit, I took a relaxing shower and left feeling rejuvenated. Spa at Edgewood is definitely upscale but they are currently woefully understaffed so book your appointments early. I tried a month out and they had no masseuses available. I ended up opting for the Stone Crop Body Polish and added a scalp treatment. Both were amazing and the body polish did include a subtle massage. The best part about it was Leigh, who was so professional, talented, and personable. She made my experience all the better. I will say the hotel entrance and parking lot view from the jacuzzi isn't the best, but the rest of the facility is beautiful. read more

If you're a bride - don't get your hair done here. I had a trial I wasn't I love with and I should have known then. Went for my wedding day with my wedding party and they started us 30 minutes late.. then did how ever get us back on schedule. When I walked in my lady was so rude to me - and totally ruined my experience and was arguing with me about what we were doing to my hair ..even thought we had a trial a month before!!!!!! All of my curls fell out in less than and hour and I had to redo my own hair before my wedding. Some of my bridesmaids got their hair done by Quinn and she did a great job!!!! And she totally cheered me up even though she wasn't doing my hair. read more

This spa is Serene and beautiful, visit during snow time and you can sit out on the balcony in the jacuzzi and see the beautiful scenery. Facial was great and the girls in the salon are the friendliest. Wasn't crowded at all when I visited and please of open appointments. It was kind of hard to locate the spa in the hotel hence the reason for the four stars. Prices are a bit high but I would definitely return here in the future. read more

By far the best massage I have ever had. The facility itself is beautiful, and the staff was all so friendly. They had tea, water, fruit, and veggies while you wait. The robes were so soft and comfy. I left feeling incredibly relaxed. She paid attention to everything on my body, from my scalp, to my ears, to my toes. Afterward, the bathrooms are wonderfully clean and well stocked. They even had hair dryers, flat irons, curling irons, and products for our use. Highly recommend. read more

This was a beautiful place with all the kindness and courtesy you would expect from a five star. The spa was amazing. Ryan was great and as a snowboarder he knew the sore muscles to work on. The valet was sweet and ran to get our car while we waited by the heater. Will stay here next time we visit. read more

I had a great experience at The Spa this last week. I had schedule a shellac manicure and a spa pedicure. I also paid a small fee to be able to use the spa facilities. The entire spa is beautiful! And the view from the hot tub outside is unbeatable. My nail tech (Socorro-so sorry I know this is the wrong spelling!) was incredibly sweet and a pleasure to chat with. She has been doing nails for over 20 years and you can tell! :) I loved that they give you the bottle of polish to take home with you. Great extra touch! I also received a complimentary glass of champagne during my pedicure! The spa robes are extra cozy and the Woman's locker room had any and everything you might have needed. The spa attendant that gave me my locker was very nice and welcoming. Gave me a tour of the facilities and got me set up with locker, robe and sandals. The young lady at the front desk was great. Was very pleasant and informative when I called and booked my appointments and wonderful when I was checking in and out. So the reason I am giving them a 4 star vs 5 star is- 1.My mani/pedi was done in the salon(which was very beautiful and clean) and is right off of the reception/main lobby. They have glass doors that separate the salon and lobby. These doors were left open during my services so I could hear everything that was going on out there including conversations with whom I assume was the Spa Manager. 2. The Spa Managers office must be located behind the front desk, so while I was shopping in the lobby and checking out, I could hear her full on conversations with her employees, about how they had recently been "shopped" and the feedback; albeit, all great feedback from their "shop" but these are conversations I don't feel that I, as a guest should be hearing. 3. There was no hot tea in the relaxation area! :( It was a cold day and I was really looking forward to tea while I enjoyed the hot tub. They had fruit water in plenty but no tea. They did have something out in the lobby-a display of tea they must sell, but not very inviting to try, and also didn't notice this until I was checking out. I will definitely be going back and would recommend this spa to anyone visiting Tahoe. read more

We did not stay at the resort, but came here for the spa. My husband booked us a couples CBD massage and a facial with Gina M. This was not our first spa experience, so i must say how impressed i was with the facial from Gina. She really is incredible at what she does. She has the perfect touch and everything beautifully set up and ready to give you a amazing facial. Gina was able to give my skin a beautiful glow and add so much hydration. I only wish i had a before and after to show you! So if you are in Tahoe and looking for the place to go for an incredibly refreshing and rejuvenating facial you have to come to the Spa at edgewood and see Gina. Edit: The grounds are absolutely beautiful as well as the building and all the interior design. I think this place is definitely worth a trip back to play a round of golf. The infinity pool with a view of the beach was stunning. Plus the food downstairs was absolutely beautifully presented and tasted amazing. As far as the massage that was a major disappointment. I will go elsewhere next time. Definitely not worth it at the moment. They may need to find some other massage therapist's with a better finesse and flow. My wife and I came to the Edgewood Spa for facials that we both performed by the amazing Gina! She was so knowledgeable and professional and catered our facials to our personal skin needs. I received a hydro-facial since my skin had gotten so dry in the Tahoe climate and my skin felt so hydrated and moisturized after, I wish it felt like that all the time! My wife received the signature facial and although she's not as familiar with skin care and facials she was very satisfied with everything she got done. Don't choose this hair salon for your wedding hair. I could have given no stars if it was possible. I had my wedding hair done there. Even though the style didn't hold, they asked me to leave without offering any solutions. One would expect them to be especially attentive to a bridal hair appointment. What is worst is that Edgewood Tahoe customer service didn't even respond to my complaint. Worst experience ever, and I have my wedding photos to remind me of that for the rest of my life. read more

Wow! I went in for a 80 minute massage w Nate while on vacation and came out feeling like a new person! He is one of the best masseuses I've ever had. Without explaining much at all, he knew exactly where to apply pressure to make my back pain disappear. I've been sore for months with a 6 month old baby. He was working areas I didn't even know hurt! When we were speaking after the massage, he mentioned he works on a lot of his friends with babies... Absolutely incredible! First and foremost, the entire spa staff is warm, professional and extremely service-oriented. I had a great experience at The Spa at Edgewood Tahoe! The Spa uses Aveda products! I booked an appointment to get my hair blown out and my nails done on my wedding day. I wanted a soft beachy style for my outdoor wedding ceremony, and that's exactly what I got. For my nails, I had requested a clear polish, but the spa stylist recommended this nude shimmer, which turned out absolutely stunning. Service was outstanding and the prices were very reasonable. 5 out of 5 stars all the way! read more

Two stars because the spa is beautiful and modern!! The waiting area is nice.. would be nicer if facing the lake and not the valet service but still nice. My first appt I had a massage it was heavenly!! My second appt was the worse experience I've ever had at a spa. I ordered a lemon scrub. Coco was my therapist, she was nice. I should have walked out as soon as I walked in my treatment room. I love spas and especially scrubs, I've had many. A scrub is a wet service, it should be in a wet room. I walked in to a facial room that had all the equipment for a facial as well as a bed. I don't want to feel like I'm in a dermatology office!! And there was carpet!!! A wet service with carpet?? Best way to get mold. I had a bad feeling and the therapist convinced me I would enjoy it. I did not. The air was on, it's a bright room. There were rough cold towels on the bed. I was freezing. She put a sheet over me. Next started putting the product on me, the product was cold!! And she didn't have the product on a belt so she had to keep walking back to get more. Then I had to flip. More product on front side and wrapped in a bunch of sheets.No foot massage like normal scrubs, I did get a scalp massage. 10 mins later she grabs a rag and cold water and starts wiping the product off.. while simultaneously trying to Change the sheets. I flipped, sat up and down at least 6 times. For these type of services there should be a Vichy shower or some type of shower in the room that you rinse off while the therapist changes warm sheets and is ready when your done to moisturize. Not here you get flipped all over cold sheets and cold water in a air conditioned room. Oh and the room is so bright, and when your face down you're staring at a dirty floor. I left my treatment early because I couldn't take it. This spa is not equipped with the right stuff to do body treatments. Especially being a luxury spa with luxury prices. It felt like a massage envy treatment. What a waste of money!! Stick with a massage or facial you should be fine. Note to spa add wet rooms!!! And the therapist should have done something knowing I left early and was dissatisfied. A sorry or something. Not the best customer service. read more

I'll start with the positives; a beautiful location and nicely decorated environment. I made reservations for 3 of us ladies for multiple services months before the spa even opened. I received several phone messages and when I'd call back to confirm my appointment times it was always met with confusion and mixed messages and uncertainty of who needed what treatment, what services were available and what food and drink options we'd be able to have, etc. At one point we were allowed to bring in our own food tray and a bottle of champagne, then that changed to only allowing the cafe to bring food to us however when we arrived we were not given options to order off of the menu at all or given the choice to order champagne. There were so many miscommunications I had zero confidence prior to arrival we'd even have appointments. Upon completion of our treatments it took around 20 minutes for the manager to figure out how to charge our credit cards. Apparently she was unsure how to split a treatment charge amongst two guests (my friend and I paid for the bday girls treatments). Also, the worst was that we were charged full price for an "add-on" treatment which differed from what I was told over and over during the numerous calls prior to our appointments. For over $500 in treatments I'd think we'd at least get an option for a glass of wine or champagne or even the ability to purchase one and some snacks. I found it odd there was no place to put the used brushes or combs which lead me to believe others would put soiled ones back in the basket and found that confusing; why wouldn't there be a spot to place used items so they can be properly cleaned after clients use. Please note the esthetician and spa attendant were accommodating, warm people and wonderful but I found management at the spa to be disorganized, inconsistent in communications and is the opposite of what I have experienced at other spas in Napa an Monterey. I was a bit disappointed. read more

I used to get facials regularly in D.C. and she hands down surpasses them all with her passion for what she does and truly wanting to help make everyone's skin perfect! Ok, so I'm only giving a 3 rating for lack of "world class" service you would expect from this type of spa at this type of hotel. There were 4 of us, two couples celebrating our Anniversaries. At check-in, they had our types of massages we reserved wrong. Then, when our masseuse came out, they had the wrong ones for my husband and I. I reserved a female for my husband, and I indicated no preference for me. They were able to fix this right there and then, but this is what I mean by "world class" - there needs to be more attention to details, because it's these things that ADD up. The men had great service on their end. Dominic was the epitome of "world class service" - he gave the men a tour of the men's area, showing them their lockers, showers, steam room, etc. On the women's side, we were only shown to our lockers. We had to walk around the maze of the women's side to figure out how to get out and find our way to the 'Co-Ed Santuary,' etc. The spa was pretty much a ghost town, not very busy (which was nice,) so you'd think you'd get more attentive service, but we didn't. We had to ask for more cups, etc. Later, as we were taking our showers, the one that was available, had dirty washcloths on the floor and a used razor. Super gross! Besides this, the spa is beautiful and we loved the co-ed area we could share with our husbands. The 80 min massages were all rated 8 and above! Great massages were had. And again, Dominic was GREAT! The entire time we were there, he was attentive and very friendly. read more
