Nope. I do not recommend this place. I paid $39 for the pedicure #2 and she barely scrubbed my heels. Also the only difference was a "stone massage" that literally she swiped once on my leg and put it down. I would have NEVER upgraded if I would have known how basically it was going to be. I always get gel but decided on regular polish after I realized the quality of the pedicure. Then I had to have her fix the manicure twice. I felt extra, but I wasn't leaving till it was fixed after paying over $80 for a mani/pedi with only REGULAR polish. Crazy it's usually $25 at most places. read more

They really know how to keep it peaceful! A lot of places that have the name "spa" lack the feeling but this doesn't. I went it for a dip manicure and pedicure and they were extremely professional. I got seen almost right away and they did a wonderful job! Jessica did my pedicure and she ensured everything was great. Since the pandemic began, I have been unable to continue my normal PT/massage therapy as usual. We also moved from Georgia to Arizona- and the pain has finally gotten the better of me. I did a bit of research and discovered Serene Spa, which is near Oldtown Scottsdale. I was able to make an appointment very quickly, and was scheduled with Kellie. She is a good listener and she was super careful where I told her to be, pressure was what I needed, and I she did some cupping for my most critical spots. I felt comfortable with the COVID protections, except for the front desk receptionist, who wasn't wearing a mask (kept my distance). The company is very good with email response as well (rare these days)- so that was much appreciated I sure feel a lot better; and plan on returning soon. read more

Lets start with saying the atmosphere was cute. Front desk was nice but the woman who did my nails was terrible. After the back and forth "misunderstanding"(aka trying to upsell)of premium gel pedicure and my repeated classic pedicure she then rushed through it like she was irritated she had to do it. It honestly was obnoxious how fast she went through the motions if a pedicure. Didnt clip the nails at all just put the tool to each toe like she had I've never not received a pedicure that didn't do a full exfoliation with pumice but she said that was extra so continued to the joke of a leg and foot massage which was one handed for half of the left foot because she was cleaning a callus remover tool in the water(that was not used on me btw) during the "massage" start to finish less than 25 minutes. I decided to time because how fast she was going from the start and skipping details. It was fine she started 20 min late to my appointment so I suppose she had to make up for time. What ever, i had a event anyways. Streaks in the polish on the pedicure which obviously would happen when you half ass and rush a light color. Makes sense why she kept pushing just a clear coat lol The manicure wasn't enjoyable but looked much better than the pedicure, yet also rushed Finished at $75 which isnt absurd for a gel mani and regular pedicure, though remove the luxury of the service and get the bare minimum. Do not come here!!!! Tried it out two weeks ago with a few friends- the salon is cute but the quality is AWFUL. I got dip, and one of my nails was botherig me a bit so I asked the guy before starting if he could be extra gentle with that nail- he never was and I had to keep asking him to be careful, multiple times pulling my hand back because it hurt so much. After one week, multiple nails had cracks (this has never happened to me before and my nails are always done), and some were starting to fall off. As the nails were falling off (after only one week!!) I realized that on 4 nails my natural nail completely broke in half (to the point where I was in pain because it was so short and broken). Go anywhere else but here!!! read more

I am LIVID. I am actually shaking I'm so angry. I came in yesterday to get a gel manicure. I had to keep asking the lady multiple times to REMOVE THE CUTICLES. Never in my life have I been to a nail salon in where this was such a difficult concept. As soon as I got home the gel started peeling. So now one of my nails is completely ruined and another is peeling off. I called immediately the next day to get them fixed and they said to come in. I told them specifically I wanted someone else to do my nails. I get to the salon and the SAME LADY is doing them again. First of all, no apology. Second, cuticles still have not been cut. I live in downtown Phoenix and it's almost an hour round trip. I will be contacting the manager immediately. Seriously stay far away. read more

I REALLY wanted to like this nail salon. They have a wonderful location, great services and a beautiful salon. However, it is poorly run from the owner to management and down. I initially went in to have acrylics removed and dip put on. The staff argued with me about fully removing the acrylic--they wanted to put dip over it! It took me nearly walking out for them to deliver. I should've known after that... went for a second time to get a dip fill and my experience was "ok"--any by ok, I mean, they butchered my shape so she had to cut my nails all the way down. I unfortunately had a nail break within a week and went in to get it fixed and the only technician available was the manager (or I assume that's who she is). She threw a verbal FIT in front of me with the owner about not wanting to do my nails. It was rude and ridiculous!! On top of it, she didn't remove my dip, rather she glued a fake tip on top of it, so now my nail looks bizarre and has a HUGE gap and I'm going to find a new salon to re-fix it. My gel toe looks very bad up close and sloppy, I paid for a $39 stone pedi treatment which came out to $59(gel fill) and the nail tech only did 1 leg with a hot stone then proceeded to tell me all done. People tip based on quality service and this seemed rushed and rude. Then before being seated one of their GALLON of MILK SHAPED funky customers rudely squeezed in between a tight opening between the desk separating the receptionist and I, just to get the checkout as I was asking question. The receptionist seemed shocked this "Karen" of a customer would have the audacity to do such a thing. This probably will be my last visit with this nail salon. Rude entitled customers & a few techs can be in a hurry besides the woman owner & another nail tech who just left. read more

I was in Arizona visiting from New York and I had a full day left in Scottsdale and needed to get my nails done. After looking at a few nail salons I decided to go to Serene Nail Bar and it was a great decision. I made an appointment same day in the next hour. When I showed up I was seen immediately and the nail tech actually recommended that I do a filling rather than a whole new set so I don't ruin my own nails underneath. She filed my nails in a perfect almond-y shape and the colors they offered were amazing. My total was about $60 which is a normal price (2 of my nails had fallen off so I had two new nails and the rest were a filling, filing of my shape and new gel color applied). It's been over a week (about 12 days) since I've gotten my nails done at the salon and they're still strong and they still look beautiful! Also the nail tech and I were chatting it up and I lived for it! It was a great experience and I will definitely go back to this nail salon whenever I'm back in Arizona. I had two services done: 1. 60 min facial - it was very basic and not worth the price at all. I could have done all of it except for the extractions at home. I left and did not leave feeling hydrated/fresh. 2. Deep tissue massage - massage was good. The girl was very attentive, sweet, and did a great job. I won't be going back because I'm looking for something more relaxing and nicer, but if you're looking for a massage at a cheaper place (no saunas, hot tubs, etc), this would be a good place to start. The pedicure was great and the service as in everyone being nice was good. But if you are here to clean your nails and remove your GelX (fake nails)....can't say they are the best. The great reviews here must be for their massages. But for nails, the lady left part of the glue from fake nails on a few of my nails. So the attention to detail is not there. I just don't understand that considering they're a nail salon. Aren't they suppose to pay attention to detail? So now my nails are left all patchy and bumpy and unfortunately I would have to go some place else to fix this simple concept. Avoid this place! They have old nail polish and claim I have to wait longer for it to dry. Polish never dried and I asked for a redo they said they don't have time and I have to come back hours later. I said I have a baby to take care of and I can't later. I asked for a refund they said only owner who wasn't there can only do it. I asked for a manager and nothing. Girl in the front gave me terrible attitude saying its new years eve and she's not here. Terrible customer service!! She offered to do two nails that were bad but all of them were bad but refused to admit it. I asked for nail polish remover to do it myself since she said she didn't have time and kept saying to only do 2 nails. I walked out I couldn't take it anymore. It was supposed to be a relaxing day with my mom and turned out to be stressful. Pictures for reference. Thanks for ruining my new years eve. I have never felt so gaslighted in my life. I was told that I asked for short nails when I specifically said don't cut yet. I said ahead of time that the shape of each nail was different and she continued to say she wasn't done. I told her that I didn't like the shape and the bumps in the dip powder and she continued to bully me by saying that happened because my fingers didn't bend correctly?!? Even after all that I asked if I could leave and take them off at home and she continued to say it was my fault and that she had to remove them. I would say shame on her but actually shame on everybody that defended her and made me feel crazy when nobody around me had bad nails like I was receiving. You should not defend an employee when it is obviously they are not giving the same quality as their fellow nail artists. So disappointed that I had to pay $46 dollars for me to leave with nothing. read more

We walked in on a whim and I literally had one of the best mani pedis ever. Mandy was excellent, attentive to detail and gave great hand and foot massages (if you like deep pressure). I tried the matching shellac and regular paint. They didn't match well after the first coat on my hands so they sought another color and fixed it for me.
