The facility is very nice and quiet and my massage therapist (Celina) was an absolute rockstar. I could tell that Celina enjoys her job and as a result is really good at it. Went here 3 times. First time was great- solo pedicure with polish removal from Anthony (he's the best). Second visit I take my mom and I request Anthony- I don't get him, oh well. The pedicure I had was just ok, mom's was good but my gel rubbed off within like two weeks?!? Very strange- I've been getting pedicures for over 20 years and this has never ever happened. I left my water bottle there- I went to get it and it wasn't there but then they called a couple days later with it, which brought me a lot of joy and happiness... so I went back. Third visit- I get Anthony this time and he does great. Yay! But I take my boyfriend this time... he chooses the same style pedicure that I got, but without polish- the lady cut his nails so short that they were almost bleeding and she ground down the tops of all his nails (never seen that for him before), they were rough; she proceeds to ask him if he wants to pay $7 extra to shine his nails- which she just ground down and roughed up?! His pedicure just sucked which was annoying for us both. My rant: why tf is it so difficult for nail places to give men a good wholesome pedicure?!?! They usually are the ones paying if there- they don't need polish and this should be such an easy win for nail salons.... I just don't understand. I put down a deposit for their Pumpkin Spice Seasonal Massage which I was really looking forward to, but the therapist didn't even use the pumpkin oil or any of the seasonal products advertised. There was no explanation, no offer to compensate me, and definitely no accountability for not providing what I paid for. My session was cut short due to the therapist "looking" for the oil that she never ended up finding. I'm not kidding she didn't start until 11:15 and ended the session at 11:55. So disappointing for paying over $100 for a service. When I reached out about the issue, the manager Jenny B was shockingly unprofessional. Not only did she TEXT me in a rude and defensive manner, but she also accused me of "threatening" her simply for requesting a full refund to compensate for the bad service, which is completely unreasonable. Her behavior is baffling and frankly, amusing, and it explains why this spa already has so many negative reviews. Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere that actually values its customers and delivers on what they advertise. Scottsdale has PLENTY of other spas that treat their guests with respect. Shame on you Jennie and the way you treat paying customers. I will now work with my bank to dispute this since the only solution she offered was a $50 refund. They go above and beyond on giving you a good customer experience This is my second time here with my best friend and I'm so happy to have come back. The staff is so welcoming and friendly. Vicky did my nails this time. She was wonderful and did a beautiful job. I showed her an inspo pic and she executed the work so well. Well...I've passed this strip mall a million times and never knew this little spa was even here! It wasn't until my friend recommended it for facials that I realized a spa even existed here. The front desk staff were great in accommodating our last minute couples facial request for the next day. I thought it was a long shot they'd be able to get us both in but they worked their magic somehow. Although we were in two separate rooms we were both able to get facials at the same time. My esthetician was great, gentle, and thorough. My husband said his wasn't as gentle and she did a procedure with an electric tool for his extractions that was pretty painful. He didn't like how intense that experience was and he has slight hyperpigmentation afterwards on area by his nose as a result of it. Hopefully that will go away on its own soon! I will say, overall, his skin did look well hydrated and luscious afterwards. Mine felt and looked great as well. They have a little waiting room that's decorated pretty cute. While checking out, I just so happen to ask about the skincare ornaments on their mini Christmas tree which led the front desk assistant to offer us a skin care sample each (umm yes please ‍). So far, I love the aloe moisturizer as it's super hydrating and I may have to return to purchase it. I would definitely return for another facial, although I'm not so sure I will ever be able to convince my husband to again! read more

I call to ask if they had availability at 6 PM the font desk said of course come on in. I come in they ask me to pick out a color. A lady takes me back and start doing my nails. She was having a FULL conversation with another lady working talking in a different language very loud! She also kept picking up her phone and texting, she even took a phone call and put it on speaker. Not once asked me how my day is our encounter with me anyway. When removing my existing nail dip she didn't have me go wash my hands or try to clean then herself. The existing glue/nail dip was stuck to the bottom of my fingertips, and at the end of the appointment, she didn't even clean it up. She started to really rush towards the end to the point my nails weren't even dry as she was putting the top coat on. She clearly just wanted to leave. I showed the lady at check out and asked for an alcohol wipe to get the glue off the bottom of my fingertips. She had to scrub to get the residue off my hands, and kept apologizing. At this point I was really annoyed and ready to leave because I started pointing out flaws with my nails but the lady wasn't going to do anything. Needless to say I left and will not be returning. If the state board were to come around and see how they handle hygiene and cleanliness of their clients, they would be shut down. read more

I have to say that I did my research to find somewhere to get my nails and toes done before Christmas as well as enjoy a relaxing massage. We were staying in Phoenix because my boyfriend was working there for 3 months. This place had amazing reviews so I made an appt with their online service. I then received calls and texts asking me to change my appt around to accommodate another customer. Not a big deal except when I showed for my appts the shop was not open and everyone was over 20mins late. I stood outside in the cold for over 30mins waiting because I was asked to be 15mins early for my services and had to take an Uber as I do not live here. The dip nails were so thick and didn't even last a full week without cracking, chipping and starting to fall off. The lady that gave me the manicure though was super sweet and a good conversationalist. I will say that is probably the only reason I didn't pay too much attention prior to leaving. The pedicure was good, polish lasted longer than I expected based off how terrible the manicure was. The only reason I left 2 stars is because I had the MOST WONDERFUL massage. If you want a great massage, I would encourage you to try this spa, for anything else, steer clear!! read more

I did a walk in to serenity society nail bar for a acrylic -gel nail fill with 1 missing nail. My total came out to $63 which I thought was a bit on the more expensive end for a fill. The facilities were very clean and they were quick to get a nail artist to begin on my nails. Overall it was a great experience! Had two services done there today: 1) Swedish massage with Nikki. (5 stars)Arrived and was greeted by the receptionist who was very personable and attentive. Was taken back to the waiting lounge and within minutes my masseuse Nikki took me back to the massage room. She was fantastic! She began with applying with warm oil which was both comforting and relaxing. The pressure for the duration of the massage was perfect, feet and scalp included. The only downside was the waiting lounge, which was close to the room I was in, there were a couple girls who were having a fairly loud conversation with no consideration to the fact that this is supposed to be a quiet area. Thankfully though, Nikki went out and took care of it. 2) Gel mani- it was mediocre. Would give 2 stars. Manicurist was Amy. She rushed through service. The gel mani is supposed to include a soapy hand soak & warm towel of which I received neither. She even asked if I "really" wanted the hand massage? I mean, if you're charging for it why make it seems like it's extra work? Plus she was unnecessarily rude to the receptionist for no reason, she's just trying to do her job. I've been here a few times and had both good and not so great experiences. The first time, I made an appointment and the tech I made an appointment with was working on someone so they ended up giving me a different tech, it worked out well. I thought it was a little ridiculous she was working on someone for 25 minutes past my time slot. The next time everything went well, I was removing hard gel and doing normal gel, but she left a thin layer on to keep my nails strong and didn't charge me extra. Within a week 2 nails broke and they fixed them for free, no questions asked. The next time I went there was great, very good attention to detail. Only down side is my nails started peeling and breaking very quickly. I made a new gel manicure appointment 12 days later for 1:45. I was driving from Phoenix and there was traffic, so I called and said I'd be a little late and asked if that was ok and they said yes. By the time I walked in (9 minutes late) my tech was working on another girl and was told she'd be done around 2:35, so I left. The receptionist offered me a drink while I waited which was nice, because usually you ask them. Parking lot is not paved very well, but there is usually plenty of spots. I do feel the prices are a bit more than they are at places near by. read more

I really wanted to like Serene Society Spa but while the massage was okay, I wasn't a huge fan of the atmosphere. When I arrived I was met by my massage therapist and got my massage which was good. Throughout the massage I could hear people talking quite loudly outside of my massage room. It really took me out of the experience. The spa tried to counteract this by playing music and rain sounds but I could hear everyone's conversations quite plainly. I was also disappointed in the transactional nature of my visit. Typically when I go to a spa I like to take about 15 minutes after to sip on a hot tea and relax to feel the benefits of my massage. After I got serviced it felt like I was shuttled out of the spa to pay with a bottle of water. Not really the relaxing experience I imagined (it does say on their website that drinks are free but I was never offered one). Went to my pedicure, which I had scheduled my massage first but I went with the flow. She comments on my toes saying it's been awhile and precedes to kinda rush they the process. I mentioned the water was to hot and she then goes cold water! I bit my tongue and thought it's okay. She then gets into a conversation with another coworker and it had some negative energy !! I came to relax!! I was so so disappointed!! Really don't like to complain or do negative reviews BUT... the owner still felt he could charge me for my deposit with my dissatisfaction . I then got a lot of my cuticle ripped off in the corners of my toes- and shortly afterwards a burning sensation all over when the alcohol was sprayed. she did apologize, but then continued to dig into where I had expressed the pain was as the appointment moved on. where my frustration lies is that I was extremely excited about my appointment. I haven't been able to get a pedicure in a really long time, I get told that I cannot do what it is that I want to do with my own feet - then to physically feel no difference from when i walked in, beyond painful toes and botched paint job. paid for something that I could've done in the comfort of my own home. The staff was less than friendly, the lady that did my nails did not listen to any of my requests and did a poor job w my nails.
