I had a facial and 45 minute leg/arm massage. Prices are high--service was okay. Upfront confession--I've only had a handful of facials--so I am no authority in this area. The facial was done with a touch so light--it irritated me. I actually wanted to tell the individual to stop. I won't have this service here again. The leg and arm massage was what one would hope to expect for the price being charged--again--not exceptional. I enjoyed shopping in the small shop--and the owner is delightful. Loooovvveed our experience here! The hubby and I booked 90 minute massages. My massage therapist was Patricia, and I had the best massage of my life today. She asked me for my preferred areas and took my requests to heart. Her pressure was intuitively perfect at every turn, without any guidance from me. Patricia's personality is delightful too... I found myself soliciting conversation with her, and I normally prefer quiet during a massage! My husband's therapist was Barbara, and he said his massage was among the best he's ever had too. Went in for a medium pressure 90 minute massage. received a 230.00 foot rub. now my foot hurts from being tugged on for an hour and a half ! I asked for extra oil or lotion & received zero got a dry massage over a sheet & blanket...the therapist kept running there fingers over the blanket as if that was a massage. lastly i asked them to quit talking in hopes they would ground. but no luck... i want a refund. read more

I should have read reviews before I booked our services here but truthfully I wanted a nice relaxing weekend for my fiancée and I for her birthday and what better way to do that then massages? If you only read this part of my review then please note the services we received were amazing! The massage and the foot soak/massage were not the issue nor were the people giving doing them!! Our issue was actually with the owner and it literally started the moment we walked up to the door. Let me explain! I booked both mine and my fiancee services. At the time I didn't know if I was going to leave it a surprise so I only gave my information when they texted me after I left a voicemail. For that reason I only received paperwork for me and not my other half. This made me a tad anxious so we thought we would get to our appt about 20 minutes early just to ensure we had everything done. Also with appt like these I prefer to be early rather then on time because you never know what they need to run you through! Our appt were at 10:30 on Saturday December 9th. We arrived at 10:06 and the door was locked. I thought that was super odd. A lady was at the desk opened the door and said how can I help you? We explained we had appointments at 10:30 but came early due to paperwork and she said it's 10:06 we aren't even open yet. Now please note the sign outside their door said they opened at 10 am. Their website said 10 am. Google said 10 am.. So we both were confused why we were made to feel like we were a inconvenience. She offered to let us come in and sit but again we now felt awkward and like we inconvenienced the spa for being earlier and making them open early when it was clearly posted they should have been open.. She sent my fiancee the paperwork and then from there no one really spoke to us until it was about 5 minutes before our appointments. During that time we had the pleasure of looking up reviews and realizing this may have been a common theme... Now both our massages were great! We appreciated they had us start and end at the same time. They prepared a space for a joint foot soak/massage and I appreciate that they allowed for this to be together. They gave us water and a mimosa again very nice touch by the service people. Loved the people doing our soak/massage. We were all having a nice conversation when the owner came over, opened the current and outloud reminder her employees about spa voices. She then looked at us and said other people are here to, thank you and walked away. Now I realize other people are at the spa but I also felt like she made it more about them than us and again we were rubbed very much the wrong way by this. It wasn't like she reminded her staff quietly either. Again the services were great but the owners customer service was lacking. Unfortunately we would likely never come back after the uncomfortable experience we had. read more

I had a few hours to kill waiting to check into my Manzanita stay and my friend referred me to this spa. I decided to really make the most of the free time I had and opted for the Perfect Day at the Beach package (pedicure, facial, & hour massage). Ok I haven't had a real pedi or facial in so long and it was SO amazing! I felt so pampered when I first arrived, given my own robe, bag and clean slides. My fav part of the pedicure was the lavender mint scrub, soo good! And the setting was perfect and quiet. The facial was so luxurious and she really listened to my skin care needs which is dry. And finally the massage was incredible and when I asked for a lil more pressure she was on it! My wife and I spent the morning at Spa Manzanita, she enjoyed the Manzanita Beach Time package and for me, the Perfect Beach Day with a North Coast Ocean Scrub. Approximately two hours before the appointment I received a call from Sam indicating the esthetician assigned to do my facial would not be in and he professionally reviewed my options. Having the opportunity to do that before arriving was greatly appreciated! I skipped the facial and relaxed in the zen room which was the perfect prelude to my scrub and massage. After a hot foot soak my wife and I were off to more treatments. The ocean scrub was amazing. The balance of exfoliation with the salt wrap was amazing and left my entire body (ok 90% of it) feeling baby smooth and soft. Shawn Marie did an amazing job and had the right balance of pressure and healing touch and I was very "healed" upon completion. My wife was very satisfied with Patricia's professionalism as well. Patricia listened to what her client expressed in terms of where she felt tension, where she carries her stress and went to work. All interactions felt authentic, personal and it is clear the staff are true professionals, not someone in training or someone just figuring out how to be a therapist. We will definitely return for additional time in this Spa even if we aren't staying in Manzanita. We'll done Spa Manzanita Team!! read more

The folks providing the services are lovely but the owner is awful!! She has an attitude of "this is a YOU Problem" and will readily apologize for your confusion when the reality is that as the owner she refuses to take any responsibility or tries to help out of town & State guests when scheduling services. This is also a very small place and they should make clear they can only accommodate groups of 3 or less. And make sure that you have someone who is willing, with the patience of Jobe to work through the ridiculously complicated booking system.... See they don't really allow for one person to organize some special like a birthday. Bottom line is.... Clearly they do not care at all if you return or refer anyone because whatever the issues is, "it's a you problem, that the owner will apologize for your confusion". Would NOt recommend this place to anyone. read more

Great little spa in Manzanita. I needed a back massage badly after some hiking and though I was only visiting on the coast for a few days, I managed to get a same-day appointment to their credit. They were nothing short of professional and while it was rainy outside, hearing the raindrops actually added more to my massage. I don't see myself becoming a regular here since I'm not from the area but if you're in a fix and need a massage, I'd say Spa Manzanita is a pretty solid bet. read more

My parents LOVE the little town of Manzanita and have been coming to the Spa Manzanita for quite a while now. I have been in to the spa for a massage a few times now and today my father treated myself and my step-daughter to a 90 minute massage each We all loved our therapists, everyone came out speaking glowing reviews for the staff we were paired up with. I was personally paired with Titus. I work at Trader Joe's and am on my feet a lot during work. I have collapsed arches and have a lot of ankle and leg pain and Titus was able to very quickly discern exactly which muscles were being over worked and besides massaging helped to stretch those muscles and at the end gave lots of helpful ideas for how to relieve the pains that he helped to soothe and release during my massage... at Trader Joe's we call the customer service I experienced today with Titus as a "wow" customer experience. He truly wowed me. I get massages on a weekly basis and for not knowing my body, Titus was able to really sense where my issues started. Definitely a gifted pair of hands (and elbows ). So communicative and friendly. An asset to the spa for sure!!! Thank you Titus! My shoulder will miss your magical hands!!! read more

Excuses excuses excuses I am local and will never go hear again there are too many other professional businesses that are consistent in service attitude and understanding of their clients needs . Oh and I should mention businesses that actually pick up there phone or will call you back when you leave a message versus leaving you hanging. The good old days of the Manzanita day spa are over! 1 star is being generous. I personally go to spas and massage to elevate my inner peace and not to elevate frustration and frictional employees when they do not own their mistakes. And if you are going to such a personal And up close service and it is not medical or you feel medically challenged then don't work in an environment and require masks at this point it's a turn off, change careers or get therapy I won't support it and will share my experience with my local friends and ask them to share as well so they don't waist time money, simply put "not a spa" Mediocre massage joint that wants to sell you over priced garbage or fear peddle their clients with masking, well guess what I can see you now and the best way to improve is to change and if not stay away and meter fail so a smart business can replace it. I was in Manzanita for a weekend and woke up with my standard headache and neck pain. Not wanting my weekend ruined, my husband made me an appt. at Spa Manzanita. The owner reassured me that they could help and set me up for an hour massage. Most massages I've had in the past are deep tissue or medical, and are very intense, and often trigger headaches for awhile before I feel the benefits. This massage actually got rid of my headache and neck pain immediately, allowing me to enjoy the rest of my weekend and absorb all the fun. I am so grateful for that massage and will definitely be back! Thank you so much to the wonderful, caring staff at Spa Manzanita!!! Under a lot of pressure these daze, I wanted to be under a lot of massage pressure.. smash the knots right out of my mind kind of pressure.. release the dragons.. Heal me!! Touch me! Feel me!! I was asked by my masseuse, Theren what I wanted to get out of this massage. I actually decided to treat him like a therapist and gave him a little of what was going on so he could understand why my body was just so doggone uptight! It worked and I got my therapy. I am not in to fluff massages. They really don't relax me in the long run. It takes a little work on both sides of the table. I booked 2 services, one for my mom (a pedicure) and one for my sister (a facial) on a family trip that was very special. I pre-paid for the services before we even got there, to treat them as this was the first time we had seen each other in 2 years and were celebrating my end of cancer treatment. The morning of the service I got a call from the receptionist wanting to know if I would pay also for the gratuities now, as she had been to work since 7AM, wanted to cash out her till so she could get home asap. (how unprofessional. I do not make up your work hours and a gratuity is something you decide on AFTER services are rendered anyway). Oh and she didnt want my niece who was with us ( a physician btw) to use the bathroom while we were waiting for my mom and sister to come out of the spa. Really a turn off. read more

My husband and I popped into Spa Manzanita on a whim while shopping -- such a wonderful spa boutique full of amazing products to try and peruse. Anyway, to our delight, we were able to make last minute appointments the next morning to cap the end of our weekend getaway. My husband selected a 45 minute massage and I opted for a relaxing pedicure. Two different experiences ... My husband RAVED about his 45 minute massage. I'm pretty sure he even said "best I've ever had." He left feeling completely relaxed and rejuvenated. Quick massage for the WIN! So his review alone of the massage 'would' have garnered 5 stars ... but there's more. Now onto my pedicure ..... I enjoyed the company of my nail technician. She was friendly and personable. Her leg massage was truly enjoyable as well. All good things. Albeit, I was quite disappointed to see how messy my polish looked after leaving the spa -- polish was all over the skin around some of my toes. This isn't the worst part though, and truly has nothing to do with her per say, however concerning; My legs, where they soaked in the water basin and up to my knees, are COVERED in a red raised, blister-like, painful, itchy rash. I am beyond uncomfortable and planning to see my doctor in the morning. I'm not sure if it's from the products used or the soaking basin (bacteria), but I don't plan on getting another pedicure from here. read more

What a wonderful and relaxing experience! My family was vacationing in Manzanita back in July and I decided at the last minute to see if my daughter and I could get appointments for facials. Both Maggie and Sam were so helpful in trying to accommodate us. Unfortunately, we couldn't get in on the same day, but while I was waiting for my daughter, Maggie offered that I could enjoy an aromatherapy foot soak and cup of tea. It was such a lovely and unexpected treat! I had an appointment the following day with Karen and enjoyed a Sea of Life facial with a neck, shoulder and hand massage.
