I've had at least 50 massages in my life and this was one of the best! I highly recommend booking with Scott! He was extremely professional, getting an understanding of what I was looking for (neck, shoulders, etc) and really customizing it for me. I got the 60 min with CBD oil and he included scraping in it! Scott was great about checking in, asking if I was comfortable with certain things especially as a male massage therapist with a female client. It was extremely respectful and professional. And best of all, the message was amazing! It was swedish but still firm where it needed to be and super focused on my problem areas. Overall the front desk was also very nice and professional, the interior is really pretty, booking online was easy, and they had water and a mint waiting for me when I was done! ZERO STARS FOR OCEAN SPA. We are majorly disappointed! Ocean Spa was locked with lights out when My friend and I arrived for two deluxe treatments booked 3 weeks in advance and confirmed via text (initiated by the spa). We waited 15 minutes and came back again after 45 minutes to find our note still stuck between the locked doors. Now, 24 hours later ,we have yet to hear from them in response to two voicemails, an email and the note. The treatment a very much anticipated, deckadent gift from my husband on 50th Birthday. I can not believe the lack of professionalism we have experienced; first to be completely stood up, and secondly to have no follow up from the business. Shame on you! read more

Great spa! I had a hand and foot treatment done. It had a foot soak, sugar scrub, and a mini massage. They don't list this on their website services menu, but it's available in their booking section. Therapist who prepared my foot soak was very nice in making sure the water temperature is good. She also offered me tea which was a nice gesture. The second therapist who did the actual treatment was efficient and knew what she was doing! I wish the message was a bit longer, but since it was only a 60 minutes treatment, I understand that it doesn't leave a lot of time. Next time I'll go for something longer. My massage therapist had great hands and would get 5 stars! But........... I took my Mom for a package - wrap and 1 hour massage. Booked a month in advance. Showed up to hear only one could have the desired wrap treatment I reserved, Clay/mud wrap and my mom requested another kind (seaweed) as she wasn't jazzed about the one I chose for us. They managed to switch our treatments so neither of us got our desired choice of wrap. Reception person gets one star for her people skills. Not friendly or welcoming. No lingering in the Steam-room even if you are the first client of the day and come early. Felt hurried and rushed! Ended up with a 40 minute massage not 60. I was a return client and my last experience was relaxed and wonderful. This was anything but. I will not be returning. I'll be going to the other available spas at Cannon Beach! read more

When you check in, they ask on the intake paper work if you have any specific areas you would like to focus on and any issues they should be aware of and then Eliza talked to me about both so she really understood what it was I needed and how to safely take care of my body! Which as an athletic trainer, I really appreciate. I had a back surgery back in November where my scar is still sensitive and needs working on and Eliza was really able to take scare of it the way my coworkers and physical therapist do!! I booked a couples massage and was very nervous. I wrote down on the slip they had me fill out that this was my first time ever receiving a massage. My boyfriend had a female therapist and I had a male therapist and was not happy at all. I ended up having a panic attack from being so uncomfortable and sat in the front waiting area while my boyfriend got a massage. His massage was cut short and he asked for them to go as deep as possible and he said it was still too light for his liking. They told him they would refund me for my half but I was not compensated. Wouldn't recommend this place for anyones first massage if you are uncomfortable having someone of the opposite sex touch you. Massage was okay but I'm pretty disappointed in my massage therapist who was very obviously "killing time" for 15 minutes at the end, waiting for my friends massage therapist to finish (we were doing a couples massage so both of us were in the same room) I "upgraded" to a 90 minute deep tissue and he basically petted me. Not even close to enough pressure in the areas I specifically asked him to focus on-trapezius, rhomboids and deltoids. I made it very clear that I have chronic pain, am a deep tissue junkie, and to not be shy, dig in there. I was so so frustrated with the end of my massage after paying that much money. I don't know how to be more clear about what is wanted than I was. Bummer they couldn't deliver. read more

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary by visiting Cannon Beach for the weekend. We both enjoyed the spa package. This was a highlight of our time in Cannon Beach! Compared to all of the spa visits we've done including Waikoloa Village Resort HI, Aspen Spa Leavenworth WA, Lithia Springs, Ashland OR, this visit was well worth it! I respect businesses that admit and are willing to address their mistakes. They clearly care about their customers having a serene and relaxing spa experience and I can genuinely say - with the exception of the woman at the front desk - that the spa is lovely and the services are top notch. From earlier review: It's always disappointing when you have a really nice spa experience but the front desk staff is so rude and unhelpful that you never want to return to the spa again. The manager was super rude to my sister (who has high functioning autism) when she went in to use the restroom. "I AM THE OWNER AND THIS IS NOT A COMMUNITY GATHERING" she loudly said to her, which was really snotty and quite frankly almost brought her to tears. We simply walked in and walked out with no disruptions. And there was no sign outside that said we could not use the restroom. Please, as a manager of a business in a touristy town, be courteous to those that walk in. Her attitude really put a damper on our day at the beach. I got a hand/foot package while on vacation. It was wonderful! It started with a private foot soak overlooking downtown. I was offered water or tea (the orange tea was delicious!). Then I was led into a relaxing massage room for the rest of the treatment. I loved the piano music in the background. The room was perfect temperature, the music volume was just right, and the smell was pleasing but not overwhelming. The massage consisted of a scrub, thick lotion, and a lighter lotion. I had the worst massage experience I've ever had here. First of all, my partner and I had a steam before the massages and the steam room was freezing. The front desk person had just turned it on as we were the first appointment of the day and promised it would be warm in a few minutes. 20 minutes passed and our therapists were there to pick us up for our massage. The steam room had just gotten warm, but I was still freezing. We got on the massage table in the room which was also cold. I was miserably cold the entire time and was unable to enjoy my massage at all. The therapist also was not skilled and had no flow. We were offered more time to steam after our massages but were charged for the extra time! Leaving the spa we felt cold and ripped off. :( read more

Very disappointed. My 22 year old daughter scheduled her and I a spa day as a birthday/Mother's Day for me as she was away at college during that time. So off to Seaside we go, excited for our Friday spa day. My daughter ended extremely sick that winded us in the ER in Seaside. And an early trip home that day. I tried calling at 7:00 AM to cancel our day at the spa because we were headed to the ER. They charged my daughter 300.+ for Canceling because they "had a therapist that drove in." I understand the cancelation policy for the people That canceled "just because" But to charge a College student who worked very had and saved the money up to do something nice for her mother only to end up sick and in the ER was Beyond wrong!! I have the ER Report. They offered me 25% off services for that Sunday since my friend and I were going to be in seaside Sunday as. A " we really feel Bad this happened" If you "really feel bad" then you You as a business owner should have realized this was not a normal cancelation, and not charged her 300+ to cancel the reservation. I understand you could have filled that spot but had I known 24 hours in advance that my daughter would be in the ER while on vacation I would have done the decent thing and called you in advance. You really need to rethink you cancellation policy. Your understanding and sympathy was not good business!! Word of mouth is the worst For a business and "I have a big mouth!!!"
