I am an avid spa goer. With this, I do have some standard expectations when it comes to my service. Cannon Beach Spa fell short for me. My provider's phone was going off throughout my service. If I turn my phone's sound off out of courtesy, I believe they should also. My provider didn't communicate what she was putting on my face throughout the service, which would've been a welcomed touch. We had scheduling issues trying to book 2 services at the same time, but ultimately they were able to accommodate us after endless back and forth. (Thankfully!) Our Madame Butterfly package also was supposed to include complementary gift bags, which we did not receive. At a $225 price point - this should be an exceptional service with no details missed. It was an okay experience. It wasn't stellar, which is unfortunate. read more

I got a massage here a few months back while visiting Cannon Beach, OR. The entrance to the spa was hard to find at first since it is around back and out of view from the street. The spa and gift shop were clean, tidy and inviting. I was brought back rather quick for my massage. The whole facility appeared fresh and clean. The massage was great and I was in the couple's massage room although it was just me. The other table was unoccupied. The female masseuse (I forgot her name at this point) did a good job and made me feel comfortable the entire process. If I was back in the area I would visit again. I made reservations for myself and two of my sisters. When we got there all the reservations were all in my name(after I specifically made the reservation and the service separately and under each sister's name) All the services were wrong and neither one of us received what we signed up for. I get this can be a sleepy beach town,there's no excuse for not providing the service we paid for. Beware and before you're taken to your room, confirm you're getting what you signed up for. After calling around to get a massage as an anniversary gift from my sweet husband with no openings, got a call back from these folks and was able to get in last minute due to a cancellation. Janae was my massage therapist and it was the BEST massage EVER! She is able to use her expertise to feel out what areas need more work and adjust accordingly. I got a spa package and was overall disappointed - a string of small things that didn't go right and the service didn't match the website description very well. I didn't feel it was totally worth the money. I called the spa to offer feedback, and the owner was receptive, and she offered a credit if I come back to try some other services, which was appreciated. She recommended the Zen foot treatment with a certain male therapist. I came back a few months later and scheduled the Zen foot treatment and also a massage. I specifically said I wanted the male therapist that was recommend and that I wanted to try a new massage therapist for the massage this time. Well, I arrived for my appointment to find out it wasn't the male therapist for the foot treatment, but the same therapist I had before... I went along with it because that was the only option, but the foot treatment didn't match the website description either. It's a 45 minute appointment and the website description said a stimulating scrub on the lower legs and feet before the massage. That didn't happen at all. There was one minute spent with exfoliating gloves on the feet only - literally one minute. Then 20 minutes of massage. The rest of the time by feet just sat in the tub. I asked the therapist why she didn't do the scrub and she said they decided it was too messy (as one of the reasons) ... I might as well have just scheduled a cheaper foot treatment that didn't include a 'scrub.' The massage I had afterwards was pretty good. She wasn't the friendliest and could have checked in with me once during the treatment. I was told when I scheduled the massage that the massage therapist would decide what kind of massage would be best for me at the beginning of the appointment (deep tissue or something else). We didn't have any conversation about that at all, and I was just charged for the deep tissue massage. Too bad, I spent over $600 including tips on two different appointments. Not my kinda place. I won't be back. The therapists should all review what the website description says and be on the same page about what they do during the appointment. read more

This little day day spa exceeded expectations! My friend and I were in town on a girls trip and wanted a great massage experience. Jodi was my therapist and she was wonderful, just the right amount of pressure and really worked out all the kinks in my joints. Bonus sacral cranial massage as part of my time...heaven. The room was spacious and clean, with natural light from a little zen garden with squirrel friends peacefully scurrying about. My friend said it was one of the best massages of her life! While on the coast to celebrate my birthday week, I treated myself to an anti-aging facial at Cannon Beach Spa. First, I want to note that on my drive to get there on Highway 101, I found myself stuck behind a state highway vehicle driving about 10 mph. Knowing this would make me late for the appt, and so with less time, I was very stressed. When I called to let them know however, the manager encouraged me to take a deep breath, and assured me all would be fine. SO reassuring! And, in fact, all was more than fine. Daneka, the aesthetician proved to be a delightful, skillful, and soothing influence. The process never felt rushed, and I left feeling so well taken care of and with glowing and refreshed skin, to boot. I've come to this spa each time I'm on vacation here. I usually get foot treatments or massages. My services are always great. Today I decided to get 90 minute massage. I get lots and lots of massages and the massage I had today with Jodi is in my top five. Jodi definitely is an expert! I went in recovering from a migraine and when I left I felt amazing. She had the perfect pressure and stretched my neck and shoulders in all the right places. I felt very comfortable coming during covid. She and all the other staff, and customers were masked up. I also appreciated how Jodi didn't try to engage in a bunch of conversation during my massage. She truly just let me relax. The spa is super clean and decorated so nicely, and smells amazing without being too strong with really perfumed scents. Great customer service. I would recommend this spa for any service. The folks here will pamper you! My husband and I wanted to get massages during our "Babymoon" vacation on the coast last weekend, so we booked them here. I asked for a prenatal massage (I'm at 33 weeks) and he had a deep tissue massage. We requested a "couples massage" room, so we could be together. They greeted us with warm smiles and light snacks (almond cluster thingies). The room was set up perfectly and our LMTs were awesome! The pillow arrangements for my prenatal massage were the best I've had for a massage during pregnancy...they had the proper prenatal pillows, supplemented with more pillows so I was completely comfortable. That's a tall order when you're trying to lay on your very pregnant belly! I usually get deep tissue massage, but I'm sensitive lately, so I was pleased that my LMT, Linda, checked often that she was using the proper pressure...and she was. :) She hit all the spots I asked her to, especially my hips, calves and lower back. My husband's LMT, Jenna, also did a great job and found some kinks in his calf muscles that were pretty sore. We both felt rejuvenated when we left and will definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great massage in the area! read more

In preparation for our annual Cannon Beach girls' weekend with 7 great ladies, one of our friends collaborated with the front desk weeks in advance to schedule our appointments over the course of a Saturday. As two of us in our 'Early Group' were ushered back for our treatments, we were led into the same massage room... with two tables... We had not asked for a "couples massage," nor was our friend who had made the appointments given the chance to opt in/out on our behalf... but, a "couples' massage" is what we ended up with. Given the short time between our groups, we did not stop the "Couples Massage", as that likely would have derailed the rest of our friends coming in. When checking out, I spoke to the receptionist, who is not the person who had scheduled the appointments, to let her know the issue. (I went to lengths to ensure no one was around and that other staff members did not hear my concerns, as this was not their fault). Later that week, when the coordinator called, she was profusely and sincerely apologetic; they usually ask when booking if a shared room would be acceptable, and wanted to know how they might be able to help/apologize/re-instill trust. Bottom line: Following the initial front-desk coordinator's conversation with the Cannon Beach Spa Owner, the message that was delivered to me was that Cannon Beach Spa would be willing to offer a 50% discount on ONE future 1-hour massage, with no acknowledgment that her business made a mistake. Based on our experience we have NO desire to return for our annual trip, and will not recommend this to any of our friends. Not only were we relaxed and refreshed after, we had so much FUN during the massage! They are so friendly and love getting feedback during the session so they can give you more of exactly what you need. They also are knowledgeable about the area because they are locals and gave us so many great recommendations of local gems to check out! The music was lovely and we loved our free truffle afterwards at Chocolate Cafe! I would rate lower if I could. My wife and I booked a trip to cannon beach about a month ahead of time. My wife also booked us a couples massage for the trip, when making the massage reservation they had asked my wife what her preference is for the sex of the therapists and she told them she prefers two women. They asked us this so we assumed we would be greeted with two women when we arrived for our massage that we had been waiting over a month for, but when we got there we had to wait past our scheduled time to wait for a therapist because they were late. Then when we were shown to the massage room there was a man and a woman (the owner) in there, my wife and I exchanged confused looks as were expecting two women. They just as quickly left the room and told us to get undressed and choose our tables. I went out of the room to tell them that we were expecting two women and the man cut me off and laughed obnoxiously in my face and went to a laundry room and shut the door in my face as well. I went to the front desk to explain how this man just laughed in my face for telling him my concerns and the owner told my we either have to continue with the massage with the man who just laughed in my face or lose my deposit. She wouldn't even go talk to him before making her decision to keep my money. As I was leaving she called me a disgruntled customer in front of her other customers. He was late. He wasn't the therapist we requested. He laughed in my and my wife's face for something that THEY asked our preference about. The owner then preceded to call my wife and try and make sure we don't leave a bad review and then told us the reason he laughed in our face was because he was autistic? It was incredibly unprofessional and a waste of our time and ruined a good chunk of our vacation and made us really uncomfortable. She called again to inform us that she IS going to return our deposits after all she put me and my wife through and after she argued with me in front of her employees and was very rude when she talked to us. We already told our friends and families in Yakima (big families) to not waste their time and money there as our families are all frequent visitors of cannon beach. I was so excited to share my previous experiences with my girlfriends. I read them the description of the foot spa with the warm neck cloth, hot tea and told them there is "no talking" (previous experiences) You can hear the birds chirping and it is pure bliss of relaxation. It is silent and they soak your feet, take a copper pitcher and pour water over them and give you the best massage! Boy were we disappointed! We arrived to a lady who shuffled us to the back room that looked less put together than the previous owners place. As we put our feet in the water she said they were out of hot water due to her boss scheduling too many appointments that required the use of water so close together. Sadly, our water was Lukewarm at best. She talked the entire time and complained about the music she had to endure over and over. When she got to my feet she was so deep in conversation she stopped my massage( which was merely a light rub) and then had to resume. It was NOT at all the very special treatment I had had prior. We were all highly disappointed in the service. This time didn't even come close to the my previous experience. It was noisy, no tea was served and it was lukewarm water at best. There was no offer of reducing the rate due to the water. There was nothing relaxing about it all. read more
