I had called on my way south and didn't reach anyone (as they were busy massaging) and Christina texted me later that day and accommodated my schedule for a massage the following day. Her energy was like no one I've dealt with before (in the best way possible). You can tell more than anything that she cares and she's there to truly help you, physically and mentally. It was the most therapeutic massage I've ever had. She had scented oil that matched my rather picky taste in scents. It's like she knew me before we had met. So glad we found this place. I've had massages from Christina and Jamie and they were both exceptional. Quite honestly, the massage from Christina was probably the best massage I've ever received. I prefer deep tissue massage that usually involves elbows and body weight. Christina has the skill and strength to get in deep when it's needed and the experience and awareness to lighten up when that's needed. I was looking for a relaxing massage when I scheduled with Jamie - she delivered perfectly. I came in tight and tense and left and loose, mellow and centered. Pro tip: Give yourself a little extra time and stop in at the store/bakery below after your massage and grab some coffee and a bite: so delicious! Ryan cued in on the issues in my alignment immediately, and knew how to address pseudo-sciatica with techniques I hadn't experienced before. I appreciated that before we entered the room, she asked me what I needed/wanted in order for me to experience a fully satisfying a d rewarding session. She listened, and when I was on the table and calmed by lovely, peaceful music, she used the essential oils I selected and began the massage. Cristina's voice was low and soothing as she suggested I should focus on the specific areas of contact with my body during the massage. I've been getting deep tissue massages regularly for more than 20 years, but the massage I had from Libby at Pauseful was the best massage that I've ever had. I'm not technically trained so I don't know how to describe why this massage was so wonderful for me, other than to say she can somehow apply deep pressure without causing pain and it allowed so many of my right muscles to finally release. I'm still thinking about it a week later and wishing that I lived in the area so I could see her more regularly. I don't think you can go wrong at Pauseful, they are wonderful. read more
