While they were replacing the belt, they noticed my alternator belt was seriously decrepit. They replaced the alternator belt right on the spot since the engine was already open. There was no charge for labor. Amazing. Who does this anymore? They just wanted me to ride safely. We will always take our cars to Western Auto.

He had a fast reply after I inquired about a mobile mechanic here last Monday. Stayed in contact but was forgetful even with text messages. Flexible hours. I paid for my parts ahead of visit. That was my decision. He offered to pick one up. He was very quick replacing the alternator and knowledgeable. After replacing alternator we discovered that we needed a new battery. He offered to pick it up. I chose to buy the battery online and then had it brought to the car for us (I'm under doctors orders to not lift anything over 5 pounds or else I would have done the entire repair). We agreed that he would return to replace the battery for me. I texted him telling him we received the battery and we are ready for him when he's done with a quick fix on the next all. Since then, we've moved to Hot Springs and have had several things done there, and the service has always been excellent--including an oil change on our Mercedes Sprinter van. Lawrence Webb is one of the few honest mechanics I've ever come across. He never oversold a service…read moreor a part and always finished with the work on time as promised. He took care of several of my cars over the years, always with a highly competitive price. He even let me bring in my own parts, which many shops won't do. Someone from the shop always drove me back to my office and picked me up when the car was ready. My only complaint has to do with some of the guys he hired. If Lawrence was personally on the job, you had no worries. A couple of times one of his guys missed something though. Under-tightening valve cover bolts resulting in oil leaks, leaving out nuts on the heat shield that produced an annoying rattle, little things like that. We got it fixed each time, but a bit more professionalism from the employees would be appreciated. Still, far and away better quality of service than any of the other garages I used in HS.
