There are multiple pools, both inside and outside and all were impeccably maintained. One of the bubblers was not working during our stay, a bummer but not a deal breaker, there are three that we located on property. Check in and check out processes were efficient, professional and polite. We stayed in a lovely ocean view room and the views were spectacular. Things in the room worked as expected and the room was clean with updated bedding. The onsite breakfast restaurant offers a buffet or menu options. It is not included in the room price but you can use Hilton daily credits if you have them. The food was good as was the service. There is a shuttle that will drive you up to a mile or two away, when available. You can ask the valet to take you to the shops at shelter cove or similar. Overall an enjoyable stay in a seasoned resort on the beach.

Unfortunately, the AC issue in our room really put a damper on what was supposed to be a special trip. From the beginning, the air conditioning was not working properly. We made the hotel aware when we arrived and every day afterward. Maintenance came to the room, and we were repeatedly told it had been fixed or someone was coming to fix it. We could hear the fan running, but there was absolutely no air blowing from the vents. The room simply would not cool down. We tried to make it as easy as possible for them to fix it. Every time we left for the day, we told staff we were leaving and specifically asked for maintenance to come into the room while we were gone. We were told they would, so we would leave for hours expecting to come back to a nice, cool room. Unfortunately, we would return and the AC still wasn't working. Saturday was especially frustrating because there was a heat advisory and it was extremely hot outside. We were out all day touring Hilton Head and having a great time, thinking we would at least return to a cool room and relax. Instead, we came back to a room that felt almost the same temperature as outside. It wasn't just uncomfortable during the day. Going to bed hot and waking up hot was miserable. After being out all day, we couldn't come back and relax in a cool room. We were celebrating our anniversary, and dealing with this every night was exhausting. Sunday, we spent time on the beach in the heat, again hoping we would return to a cool room. Nothing had changed. By then, I was hot, exhausted, and completely frustrated. I had been patient and given them multiple opportunities to fix the problem, so I finally demanded a room change. Initially, they did not want to move us, but I insisted. We were finally moved after 4:00 p.m. Sunday--the day before checkout. Having to pack up and move rooms that late in our stay was extremely inconvenient. We shouldn't have had to get to that point after reporting the same issue every day. What makes this even more disappointing is the price. We paid over $350 per night, so I expected basic amenities--especially working AC--to be a given. During a heat advisory, functioning air conditioning is not a luxury. Unfortunately, this may not have been an isolated issue. As we were checking out Monday morning, another couple who had just checked in that morning came downstairs complaining that the AC in their room wasn't working either. That was very concerning to hear as we were leaving. The resort itself is beautiful, and the beachfront location is great. We enjoyed Hilton Head and appreciated the staff members who tried to assist us. However, the way this situation was handled was extremely disappointing. We were patient, reported the problem every day, allowed maintenance multiple opportunities to fix it, and even made the room available while we were out. Once it became clear the AC could not be fixed, we should have been offered another room much sooner. We will be escalating this issue to corporate and, if necessary, whoever else needs to be made aware of how this situation was handled. Paying over $350 a night for a room without functioning AC, especially during a heat advisory, is simply unacceptable. Beautiful property and great location, but the experience with the AC and the way our complaint was handled was extremely disappointing.

The course was in terrific shape for the July 1 with showing zero signs of wear and greens that had been punched earlier in the month complete grown in while rolling fast and smooth. The course design is outstanding with holes setup to be challenging but fair. You cannot hit driver on every hole because of well-placed bunkering, so it is a good mental test, too. We played as a foursome on 3:50 with a terrific pace. The staff was all extremely friendly and helpful. The driving range was good with plenty of length to hit any club, and the practice green was large.

Easy to get there mainly going down Skull Creek. The course was in great shape. Fairways rolled fast but were plush. The greens were also very fast. Nice practice range and chipping/putting greens. The course was challenging but I actually did pretty well. While the carts have GPS, but not a screen to see the holes. It only tracks your position and ensures you don't drive in unauthorized areas.
