I would highly recommend Namaste Spa if you are looking for a massage while in Hilton Head! I had my very first prenatal massage and loved every minute of it. They had a cushion that allowed pregnant women to lay on their stomach, and focused heavily on my back per my request. I believe it was around $135 before tip, which was very fair in my opinion! The entire process was great - once the front desk checks you in, there are locker rooms that you can use. Important to note - there are no brushes, q tips, makeup wipes, hair products, etc. available in the locker room - not sure if that is common at most salons, but every salon I've been to in the past has them! Once you've changed into your robe and flip flops (provided by the front desk), you wait in the relaxation room until your masseuse brings you back. The entire massage process is great, and they make sure to focus on the areas that need the most attention. After the massage, they give you a warm or cold weighted neck pillow, mimosa (or in my case, orange juice in a wine glass since I can't drink), and you are free to relax in the relaxation room as long as you'd like. There is also a sauna in the locker room that is free to use. read more

We were so excited for a massage while on vacation and the Namaste spa in Marriott's Barony Beach came highly recommended. Overall the facilities were underwhelming. I wouldn't call it a "spa" as the facilities basically overlapped with the outdoor swimming pool...so it was a locker room. There were no toiletries provided aside from soap. (No shampoo or conditioner at a spa!) No combs, qtips, cucumbers, cold wash cloths, any other details - just towels. There were also parents with kids screaming and running around the bathrooms while you're trying to change into your robe. There was a dry sauna with a clear door (again not ideal if kids are running around) My massage was below average. I was confused by the mix of light medium and soft pressure as well a pinching movements during my Swedish massage. My husband's massage was good though! The prices here are not cheap as they are charging $150+ per massage which to mean means a luxury experience which we did not receive. To top it off, they are cashless with a REQUIRED 3.75% credit card "swipe charge" that was never mentioned at the time of booking. Just adjust your prices, namasate. That is such poor form. Disappointed in the facilities, spa experience, and massage. Will not be back! read more

Very bad customer service!!! Went with 2 other ladies for a girls spa treatment, I booked a facial, however the front desk booked me in as a massage..I don't do massages. Talked to the desk and they said because I was canceling the massage that I didn't order they were charging me 50% of the price. Tried charging me 50% of a higher massage service. Told them that was NOT going to happen, the manager tried to guilt me with their employees are commissioned, therefore I should still pay because they cannot fill in the spot. Said they had "proof" and played some garbled recording which I honestly could not distinguish anything from. I will be disputing the charge with the credit card company. I got a massage today at the Marriott Barony Beach Namaste spa location. I only gave it a rating of three for a couple of reasons. The spa itself was lackluster. On top of being just an average spa, Although they had tea and water available, there were no glasses or cups. I went I went back to the check-in desk to have them bring me some and there was no one there, after waiting for about five minutes finally someone from the hotel brought me a bottle of water. A little while later when I saw someone I told them there were no cups. She didn't seem to care and when I left, there were still wasn't any. The massage I received from Diamond was adequate although I had asked her to go a little harder and she didn't, but it was still a relaxing massage. BEWARE when I went to check out they charged me 3% for using my credit card or room charge and added a 20% gratuity automatically. I wish I had been informed about that. Not sure if the spa at Marriott Grande Ocean does has the same policies. I'm staying there, but they didn't have any openings. For a lackluster spa and massage, they sure charge a luxury price. $307 total for an 80 minutes massage. read more

Disappointed in the experience. I would hardly call this a spa. There is a public pool, no hot tub, other than in public areas. It is not at all what I would envision for paying $300.00 for a massage. The massage itself was strange. I was started out on my back for the majority of it. Lots of pinching movements and repetitive movements. I was asked what I wanted and I said mainly back and feet and barely was two minutes spent on my feet. All in all, not impressed with any part of the massage or the experience or facility. read more

I had the 50 min scrub and Shea wrap. It was a nice experience; however, I'd probably recommend the massages over the scrubs. My therapist was good, but I recommend she take her time applying the Shea to enhance a more calm environment during the treatment. read more

Just finished my facial and it was amazing! From the start of service to the end. They offered neck wraps and mimosas while you relax in the relaxation room, perfect way to start and end your service. For the facial the recommend products to keep your skin protected, but also don't pressure you to buy, which is really nice!!! I can't wait to come back during our next visit to Hilton head!! I booked a deep tissue massage that was underwhelming. They changed my reservation time and date three times, but they did give me a discount for the hassle which I appreciated. During the massage I had to tell the massage therapist to use deeper pressure five times!! He used broad rubbing strokes the entire time, there was no technique at all. On my tight shoulders he just continually rubbed them in one stroke not getting into the muscle at all. I gave this feedback to the front desk, but I would not go back.
