I was easily able to book an appointment online for the next morning, at 10:00 the night before, for a sports massage. The staff at the front desk could not have been more professional and friendly when I checked in and only had to wait just a few minutes for Charlene, my masseuse to be ready. The facility is spotless, meticulously maintained, and COVID conscious. My masseuse, Charlene, was unbelievable. She stretched my problem areas, really worked through the tightness and stiffness in my entire body, focusing on the injured leg. I am not exaggerating when I say that this is probably the best massage I ever had. I walked out of there feeling so much better, and it was the first time in weeks without a limp on the affected leg. I called for a same-day massage, and got an early evening appointment (another bonus -- services on St. Simons can shut down as early as 4 pm [#IMeanReally??]) for a 90-minute deep tissue with Megan, who. Is. Awesome. I mean, BEYOND. FYI: I prefer a super-deep tissue massage with very strong hands -- I have a muscular frame and it takes serious pressure to get my knots unwound. At first I was concerned that 90 minutes wouldn't be long enough to GET all of them OUT this go-round, but Megan delivered one of the best massages I have ever had (on three continents). And I had serious issues with tension in my lower back and hip flexors! She recommended a warm bath with Epsom Salt as follow up for my newly-knotless frame, which was a great idea, but I didn't. . . and I still felt awesome the next day!!! Initially when I called a over a year ago I was spoken to by the Scheduling Receptionist with a rude and condescending tone. I chose to not make an appointment at that time. Feb. 2024 I called to give updated information and was told by the 'scheduling receptionist' - "YOU WANT TO COME HERE, WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO COME HERE, THAT'S WEIRD, CAN'T YOU GET HELP FROM OTHER DERMATOLOGISTS IN YOUR AREA?" The person was extremely invasive, condescending and abusive. I called the St. Mary's Location to get help and the Employee Named Paula claimed that she would get me an appointment and send me a SELF-PAY Letter with financial information and she claimed to have been shocked by my experience. 14 days had gone by and I hadn't gotten a letter or a call for an appointment for the St. Mary's Location. I called twice to speak with Paula about it and she said in a very rude tone and acted like I was a burden: "I told MY supervisor about you and she said she would take care of it!" I said: "I hope that my grievance that I shared would not prevent me from becoming an established patient..." THE OFFICE MANAGER NEVER CALLED ME ON HER OWN TO FOLLOW-UP WITH ME UNTIL I CALLED THE SECOND WITH PAULA AND SHARED MY CONCERNS ABOUT NOT BEING A PATIENT. All of these raving reviews about Dr. Cavalier and since my experience of not getting an appointment in a reasonable manner, and not being worked in, and having to wait a year (ANGEL CALLED AND SAID MAY OF 2024) LEFT A VOICEMAIL AFTER I CALLED TWICE) was a total insult and there was absolutely no respect for My Patient Care/Health.
