I am now completely in on the joke! I worked for near decades right down the street from here. Alright, I traditionally, have always had tiny cars with great gas mileage. Even when we were the most tragic as far as the gas prices go, I was still way less at the pump than most cars since I have had 7 gallon tanks. I still tried to go back and forth between gas points pricing at Fred Meyer and my Costco membership... I refuse to negotiate getting cash to try to save money going to Arco since you then have to deal with going to (AND INTO SINCE CASH WHICH ADDS TO THE FUCK NO) and also dealing with the folks who angrily work and Arco and discover why they are so mad since you also get to deal with the other customers. I then started doing delivery driving so I am not just filling my tank a whole lot more BUT I need to watch my money more and am EVERYWHERE. Of course there are many main streets which I am often on. But I see A LOT of gas stations and notice the price differences which are pretty sizeable. There are certain gas stops which just have better prices. I filled up at what I thought was the lowest (Astro) and five minutes later I drive past Space Age which was nearly ten cents cheaper! SHOCKING... but instead of plugging in Astro first I go for Space Age. I did exactly that this time and then discovered this gas station was so close for so long that I genuinely just found the other day. Even better is that people in Oregon are not used to self serve so they all sit in line waiting for someone to do it for them. Take advantage while you can, like I did and roll right up to a self service pump and then out. Unlike Astro, they have a snack station too. I cannot report on that as I just grabbed some gas. read more

Cheap prices dont offset a terrible system that rarely works, and wretched customer service. I will pay more to not have a hassle every time I fuel up. Both myself and 2 others all had our cards declined because their system doesn't work right. Not the end of the world, but its always something here. The gas seems to be as good as anywhere else. Mpg varies like most places. Price is competitive and usually one of the better/lower around. But, their service sucks. Heaven help you if you don't want to pump your own gas. By law it's supposed to "allow you to pump your own" but they try to force you to pump your own gas and will completely ignore you until you leave or walk in and ask for it. And price is the same no matter if you self serve or they pump. The whole idea of self serve is that it is supposed to be cheaper. read more

Gas was 40 cents less per gallon than the many gas stations located a block or two away! Just for that, they get 4 stars! Easy access, multiple lanes and pumps, service was just fine. I never Buy snacks or drinks or anything else at a gas station so can't speak to that, but for gas, I recommend. read more

When I got my Costco membership I was planning to take advantage of their gas pumps as well. I do most of the time, but sometimes my shift ends after (or just before) they close. If my car really needs food, I zip over to 185th and fill 'er up there. Not only is it relatively close to my home/work, I notice that the prices seem to be much lower than area (including Costco) gas stations. Works for me and the quality of the gas seems to be good too. read more

Someone please give the hiring and training manager a raise! The attendants are consistently the friendliest that I've experienced and many are super respectful with honorifics (miss, ma'am). They're also quite attentive and often check early on the fill status (unless completely slammed with customers). Aside from when my car is running on fumes, this is my go-to gas station and will continue to be in the future. read more

The contract Post Office area has 1-2 employees "working". Arguementative, terrible attitudes, and terrible customer service. They informed me that this time is the last time they are going to scan our packages and we have to just drop them in the bin. What if I need a receipt? He argued with me telling me I don't need a receipt. And explaining, incorrectly, why. Then when I tried explaining why I need a receipt he gave even more attitude. Not sure what the rest of this business does with their customers but the postal area doesn't seem to understand why they were hired. Comically ridiculous. read more

The gas attend working tonight, 12/4/21 is superb! He is very attentive to all customers and provide a clean soaping and wiping of the front glass shield. Though he has been bouncing each station , he never stopped. He is tired but very sincere in his greetings and even thanked each customers. We should be the one thanking him. Definitely the cheapest gas anywhere aside from Costco.. Most of the employees whom pump our gas are friendly. I really like the Hispanic older guy. He's always so friendly and kind. They're fast - in and out! There's also a car wash, vacuum area and Postal Office. read more

This place typically has lower prices than most of the other stations around. It always beats downtown, where I live by at least .10 a gallon, if not more and it often beats the stations in the area near it by .02 to .03. per gallon. I am not going to drive all the way across town for a couple cents per gallon but I happen to work in the area so hell yes, I am going to go there to fill up. The guys that fill my car are always pleasant which I appreciate and there is also a mini post-office facility also attached to the mini-mart at the gas station; very convenient. read more

I came in today after walking from discount tire needing something to drink after being stuck for almost two hours at discount tire, Richard the cashier at the time tells me the card reader is down...I'm thinking how much worse can my day get and he pulls out his wallet and pays for my drink for me. This is my go-to gas station. They're cheaper than most gas stations around, and it's usually not jam packed. Service is always friendly and fast! I do a LOT of shipping, a lot. Their post office is a total god-send. I'd be a horribly bitter person if I had to frequent the main Aloha post office down the road. It's never busy here (except the weeks leading up to Christmas), and it's staffed by gas station employees, which I think is actually a plus. Postal workers seem to be less willing to actually work and are usually less friendly...but that's just my opinion and another subject entirely! I've dropped off my domestic and international shipments at this location and never had any issues with delivery. The packages don't just sit behind the counter. It is, however, cash-only. Yes, Space Age is approximately 20¢ / gallon cheaper than 'top tier' fuel brands. No, I have not found any performance degradation using this more economical fuel. My question posed, doesn't it make more financial sense to purchase fuel from a more economical source? The speed of fueling here (no lines), and service are top tier in quality. I say 'no thank you' to paying premium prices for fuel that I can find no difference in. And, a hearty 'Yes, please!' to extra money in my pocket! This Space Age is ANTI LGBTQ+ and discriminates against anyone a part of this community! Do NOT ever go to the Space Age on 18544 NW Eider Ct in Hillsboro OR. My wife and I pulled up to a pump and shared a little kids before turning the car off. It was not busy and I had 2 attendants just ignore me for 10 minutes. One even walked right behind me, said ,"okay" and walked away. When I went inside to complain, they laughed at me and told me to, "get the fuck out!" And they demanded the attendant stop my pump immediately. I am a disabled Army veteran with PTSD and I'm appalled by the way they treated me. I will never go back to this space age, or any space age for that matter. When employees treat their customers like this, it is not a business I want to support. Excellent staff that are always a quick step away. They are very busy and the people that run the pumps make it smooth so it doesn't seem like you are in a busy fuel pump. Nobody tops the prices, and I mean NOBODY!.. I'll have to give their car wash a try one of these days. read more

Cheap gas, nice people, and a post office. BIG NOTE regarding the post office. Only use it if you do not mind gas station employees handling your mail, putting it in a bin behind their counter where absolutely anyone could access your packages. Good for buying stamps, or weighing then dropping package off somewhere else. read more

The gas prices are a little lower here compared to other stations in the area. The gas attendant also seems to be much quicker than attendants at other gas stations as well. If you are buying anything inside, just remember they don't offer cash back. There is also a mailing station inside so this is really like a one stop shop. read more

If you have a malbaro coupon for cigarettes don't come here. I came in and asked if they accepted these Marlboro coupons and he said yes so I opened the coupon. If you've used these coupons before you know that once you open it you have to use it within five minutes or it is a complete waste. So since he told me they accept them I opened it. I was then informed that their scanner is broken. Well that was also broken the last ten times I've come in here but they still entered the coupon manually. The cashier refused to do it manually so I ended up wasting my dollar off coupon. That's quite frustrating. If you told me you'd accept the coupon then accept the coupon! I am sharing this post: I was just at the Space Age gas station/convenience store in Cornelius. While I was there a customer drove off without paying. Both attendants were visibly upset. More than what looked normal to me. I asked why they were so upset and they told me the owner makes them pay for the bill if someone drives off. I walked inside for a purchase and overheard the owner scolding them for allowing the person leave. As the attendant hung up the pump I asked him how he makes them pay. I was told the owner makes them give him any money they have on them and if they have nothing on them then he takes it out of their paycheck. I don't know if that is even legal but regardless I think it's disgusting that the owner would do this to them as I'm sure they are paid very little to begin. The price here is always right. I will travel from Murray just to fill up on fuel. I run a lot of errands in Tanasbourne and 185th area, so it's convenient to stop by for a fill-up. Staffs are friendly. There's a mini mart and a US Postal as well. Spacious lots. Good place for the price! read more

We go here all the time to use other services which are great, however the last time we bought items at the mini mart the man working the counter was extremely rude. My husband was buying items but the screen that shows you what you're purchasing was showing us that there was an item that rang up an extra time. I was asking the man to double check because this screen was showing us five items but he kept arguing with me that he had only rang up four. I'm like ok... but then how come this screen is showing me five items...? so he cancels the transaction and starts again and the screen is still showing five items but the price was correct for only four items... so something was messed up on the technical side. I tried telling him oh the price is right but this screen is showing us you rang up five items and he's like well it's correct and I said ok but if you just look your head at this screen you'll see it's showing us five items and he holds his hand up to me and says "I believe you" but says it very aggressively and was being so rude my husband started to just tune him out. He didn't even check the customer screen to see what I was talking about! Just was very passive aggressive. Yes the price you're telling us was correct but of course anyone would question it when the only screen we can see is showing us that extra items are ringing up! He was an older white man probably 60's-70's. If you don't like your job quit, no need to be rude to someone asking a simple question. The other customers in line were all making eye contact with each other too when he was being disrespectful. read more

This gas station has the second cheapest gas that I know of. First would be Costco, but Costco isn't always the easiest place to get to form where we live. This gas station is also VERY easy to get in and out of. I can't stand gas stations that are difficult to get in and out of. The gas attendants are also usually very nice here! read more

I have been going to Space Age for about 9 years, and this has been my favorite gas station in the Beaverton/Hillsboro area. Every single employee is nice and helpful; I Iike coming here better than going to Costco because I think the employees are kinder. The price of gas is always lower than most places and the car wash is reasonable too. One time after getting gas, my car wouldn't start because the battery died, and two of the employees helped me jump my car by getting one of their cars to jump mine, even though it was busy at the gas station.
