Sick Fred Meyers! Came here to sell bottles and couldn't because I wasn't an Oregon resident. Asked an associate for help and they called a manual counter who was able to credit me $2.4 for 24 bottles which was great. The wait was about 30minutes which was long but well worth it. Bottle selling is near the garden center exit. The store is super well decorated with lots of cute things to see. read more

We stand there wasting our time because every single coupon has to be "verified" by management, and half the time there aren't even enough employees on duty to handle it. That's on you -- you don't staff properly, you don't pay people enough to stay, and customers end up paying for it with our time. Fix it. Hire more people. This is one of my least favorite Fred Meyers. I'm not crazy about the parking lot, lots of cars driving around as well as pedestrians. I usually park a little ways out to avoid the congestion. On this particular day, I left home 15 minutes earlier to meet friends at a restaurant on Walker Rd. After lunch, I was planning on joining a friend at the gym. I had lost my lock, so I wanted to pick one up on the way to the restaurant. I didn't have a lot of leeway, but I thought this would be a quick in and out. When I entered the side entrance, I saw a cashier, and I thought that would be perfect for checking out on the way out. I was having a hard time locating the Hardware section. I didn't see anyone to ask..so I just wandered in a direction I thought it would be. I finally found the Hardware section, but didn't see anything saying locks. Again, no one to ask, so I wandered the aisles. I finally found the combination locks. I made a beeline for the cashier I saw when entering the store. There weren't any customers in her area, she was having a conversation with a fellow employee. I walked over to the counter and the other employee left. I saw a closed sign on the counter, so I asked if she was closed, and she said yes. So I started to walk away to search for an open cashier. As I started to walk away, I looked back and there wasn't a closed sign on the register on the other side. So I asked her if this side was open and she said yes. So I said, OK. And she asked me "what was that?" And I said, "OKAY!" Why didn't she let me know that she could help me on the other side?? And the way she asked me, "What was that?" Was said with an attitude. Green bags and labels. Trying to find the green bag kiosk was crazy. Why would you have the kiosks at ONE end of the store and the bags to buy at the other?? I know we need exercise but it's inefficient Fred Meyer!! I do think think that the cool scream mask Lego guy we saw was pretty cool and I'm glad we got to see it. I just prefer efficient placement of items and putting the things that belong together TOGETHER. So perhaps think of moving the bags y'all. read more

Worst customer service ever with an employee named Elena there. She couldn't have made the transaction any more complicating and difficult than necessary. She was rude and made everything difficult and made me feel like she was intentionally trying to be difficult and unhelpful. She also just socialized with the customer in front of me for a few minutes and was completely friendly with her, regardless of the next person waiting in line, yet was very cold, unhelpful and difficult with me over a defected product too read more

Updating my review. We do a good amount of our grocery shopping here. The seafood department is very good and they have most of the items we are looking for. The reason for the 3* is that you need to install the app and download coupons or you will pay a higher price on many items. But even worse, they always ring up a few items wrong, never in our favor. Today they were off by $2 on 2 items but last time it was around 10% off because the coho and cuties rang up wrong. read more

This location is a Superstore which means it is MASSIVE. Every department, every section within a department, is huge and contains a large and varied selection. For example, the health and beauty section could be it's own store! This could never be my regular Fred Meyers for this very reason. I want to get in and out quickly which is why I prefer the smaller Fred Meyer stores which have everything I need. Stopped here multiple times when in the area and every time, I have the same reaction! Yesterday I needed something in Garden, some half & half for coffee, and needed to use the restroom. That required me to walk almost the entire store! Not sure how people who have mobility issues or even are just not in the best shape could manage. All that being said, there is a great selection, produce is high quality as is the cheese, meat and fish. The staff is friendly and there is a Fred Meyer Gas Station right in the parking lot. The large turquoise planter I wanted to purchase did not ring up on sale even though there was a sign showing a discount, and the other planters rang up with the discount. The Fred Meyer Pharmacy on SW Walker Rd is the best pharmacy! The staff goes above and beyond to help customers get prescriptions in when they're due. They also make sure that hard to get prescriptions ordered in time for them to be filled on the due date. Additionally they work to get the best prices for medications that are expensive. Been going here for years after many others. I saw my Doc. Called Freddys walking out of the office asking to fill my script and by the tune i git there it was ready the exact time they said. The Pharmacist himself is high function autistic and great with numbers so everything he touches is perfect, just don't expect a conversation about your day because he won't write get why your telling him about your cat while getting blood pressure pills! The really cool thing is I found out if you do have to pay ask for the discount pharmacy card! It's cheaper than any app I've used even advertised ones and works on over the counter stuff. I got eye drops i needed that were 18, down to 13 dollars over the counter. Never a charge on my under counter meds like the other 2 places. read more

This is a Super Store. This one location has a gas station, clothing section, shoe department, furniture, groceries, etc. Plenty of parking in their private parking lot. Good grocery prices but I didn't spot many manager specials. My checkout did not take long. They have a BottleDrop station here. Half the time the kiosk is not working. Quarter of the time the drop station is full and cannot take any more bottles. read more

Very large and busy Fred Meyer, with the sort of variety expected at a Kroger chain location. The big draw for me was the Murray's counter. There were a lot of cheeses, but I had hoped for more local ones, though they did have three from Rivers Edge from Oregon! Self-check out was quick and easy. read more

My wife and I refer to this location as "the nice Fred Meyer." Access is decent with multiple ways to enter and exit the parking lots, there is a large area to cue up for the fuel center and the aisles are organized in a reasonably understandable way (compared to other Fred Meyer's). So that you don't wander around like I did, the one downside is there's no electronics center and no photo services. read more

This store is much bigger than the Freddies we generally shop at and offers a lot of variety . We shop here if we are in the neighborhood or are looking for something specific and this place mostly does not disappoint . I have even bought some craft supplies that I was not able to find at the nearby craft store. Yay! for a well stocked store. They have a small nursery that I look forward to seeing every time I go here as sometimes there are great deals going on .The Returns are fast and easy as well and I have never had any trouble or concerns with the customer service at this location. read more

Fred Meyer grocery stores are a new experience for this Californian, and a good experience at that. The first thing I noticed upon entering Fred Meyer for the first time is just how big it is: at least four times the size of my local Safeway. FM seems like a grocery store with a Walmart, a Costco, with parts of IKEA and Bed Bath & Beyond tacked on. There's a bank inside, and a clothing store, and even sporting goods. It's just that big! The selection of frozen, packaged, and ready-to-eat foods are impressive, with helpful staff to point me toward whichever horizon I need to navigate to find something. It's pretty gratifying. FM doesn't have that higher-end foodie vibe that Whole Foods or New Seasons Market emit. It doesn't have that "best friend looking out for you" vibe from Trader Joe's. FM does have a place, and it might just be your primary store for all things you get on a regular basis. That's how I'll use FM. read more

Warning, a rant. This is a review for Clicklist, which I have used three times and tried to use 3 other times. When it works it is pretty easy. You set up an account with your rewards card number, address, phone, and email on their website. Then you order groceries online, pay with a credit card, set up a pickup window, go to the clicklist spot in the parking lot at your chosen time and location, call the number on the sign and have them bring your groceries to your car. Sweet, right? Hunh. Well. Yes and no. When it works it is great, especially at first when my leg was injured, the second time I was super sick, and again shortly after my back surgery. For a busy single mom it is pretty cool. Fast. Free the first three times, then $4.99 after that. Less costly than Amazon,with more choices. If they don't have a specific item they choose the closest fascimile for an equal price if it costs more - or less if it costs less.Which is fine. The produce I got was decent ( unlike a couple other delivery options I have tried). My problem is the website/app. Twice before today I could not get it to put all my desired items in the cart and it kept booting me out. I would have to relog in and then my cart (which I had spent time filling) would be empty again. I gave up and did Amazon instead or dragged my sorry self to the store. First world problems. Last night, anticipating a busy few days and having run out of Greek yogurt and coffee ( disaster) my kid and I put groceries on our clicklist and then this morning I added to the cart. When I went to check out, I realized the groceries were in two places. Some were on the "list", some in the "cart". There is no "add to cart" button on the list that I could see. Or merge button. Just two lists with two dollar/ item amounts. Well, crap. So I called customer " service". Ugh. After giving the not super friendly Kroger representative ALL my personal info, practically 15 min worth, she asked my issue ( I want all my items in the cart) and then told me to add them one at a time. I thanked her and hung up, looked again, no way to do that adding easily and by now I reckon I should have gone shopping in person and I need a gosh darn coffee. Not the word I used btw. So I try to cancel my order. There's no cancel button to click and it says I have a pickup scheduled. I do not want to pickup anymore. So, I call customer " service" again. I get a friendlier young man who again takes 15 minutes of personal info and tells me if I didn't get an order number I do not have to worry. Okay. Then I ask if there is a place to give feedback about my opinions about their software. He says he can take that from me. So I list my concerns related to it's ease ( or lack) of use, I am SPECIFIC, because my ex is a software developer and I am now very opinionated, and the rep says " so basically it's horrible ". That is not what I said. I say I will find another way to share my thoughts ( hello wordy yelp review) and have a nice day, and HE says " make sure to check out our floral arrangements when you are in our store." Uh huh. Amazon here I come. Or Winco. I am not saying I won't shop at a Kroger affiliate again...but I'm not super happy at how this went. For the record, software to purchase items online should be user friendly if stores want to keep/attract consumers. Because the competition will do it better. And customer service needs to not be painful. Soapbox over. Now I need an adult coffee. Moral of story: if you start a cart, do not start a list. And do not call customer service for tech support on their app. read more

A power outage and the Coronavirus have drastically brought down the quality of your local neighborhood Fred Meyer. Let's just say that no frozen goods available when frozen goods are what people are desperately trying to get is not a great time. I am pretty disappointed, but fortunately there are a ton more Fred Meyer's to choose from. They came, weren't sure so she called her manager. He came down and tried to help me look around for it. We didn't find it but he tried. That was nice. Never bought groceries here. I have come here in the past to get clothes, gardening, or seasonal stuff as they have a bigger selection of the stores around. I bought some pillows too as they were having a sale. Made a quick stop at Fred Meyer two days ago and decided that it the last visit I will make! It was busy, and yet that didn't phase them... they didn't open any more lanes... the wait was huge, tho many folks were opting for the service yours (also super slow). In this huge store I wondered around and couldn't find what I needed... ended up with a handful of things, took forever.. and the kicker was when I was checking out I was going to get cash... normal, huh? I love this store mostly. The staff are friendly, the store is well kept and stocked, and the selection is good for this side of town. However, their bulk coffee selection is disgusting. The chutes are not regularly cleaned and have looked unsanitary for months. It's unsavory and unsafe. - Specifically their PHARMACY - I picked up my medication yesterday around 4pm- ish, and i had a great experience. Everyone kept their distance, there were stickers on the ground for 6 ft., masks were being used and there was an employee holding a box of masks at the entrance of the store. The Pharmacy is in the middle entrance to the right. There were only two people ahead of me and it went by pretty quick. I had the pleasure of interacting with Karen and she was so sweet and found my medication in no time. I noticed her Hawaiian bracelets and we spoke of home (on the islands) and we wished each other a Happy Holidays. It was such a pleasant experience, not like the agonizing and repeated experiences i had with the TV Hwy Fred Meyers Pharmacy. I'm very glad i moved my pharmacy location. General Store - I did peak at a few area in the store and they are far more stalked with Christmas decorations, candies and stocking stuffers and pretty well organized. read more

This was a cool grocery store; definitely bigger than most I have seen. It's definitely a step-up from the Super Wal-Mart stores (quality wise), with a broader selection and some higher-end brands. My first observation upon pulling into the parking lot was what looked like a bottle/can redemption station - redeem your bottles & cans for money. It was so cool many people doing that in the effort to keep recycling alive! The store was very organized with a robust produce section, prepared foods, artisanal candies, household supplies, clothing and even a jewelry store (that sells diamonds). I found everything I needed to help fill our fridge for the next few days. Checker lines moved quickly and customer service was great. I wish I had more time to explore the rest of the store, but it makes me want to come back for more visits in the near future. read more

Well, the following letter says it all. I will never step foot in a Fred Meyer again. The silence from this letter and the survey I filled out on June 26th is just deafening. By the way I sent a snail mail copy to Mr. Dennis Gibson who is the President of Fred Meyer. Important to note that that the sign on the outside says Fred Meyer it's Kroger on the inside. Mr. Chad Higgins Manager Fred Meyer 15995 SW Walker Road Beaverton OR 97006 Dear Mr. Higgins : On June 26th, two days after Governor Brown issued the mandatory mask order, I walked into your store behind three folks not wearing masks. I asked the Fred Meyer employee with the yellow shirt what was up with that. Her exact response was that "we have heard nothing from upper management about masks". Say what? In the 20 minutes I spent in the store, there were at least 20 other people not wearing masks. I am 67 years old, am immuno-suppressed, and frankly I did not feel safe. When I got to check out, I engaged with KayLynn, who I assume was MOD. She repeated what the other employee told me, and then said go to the web site on your receipt and fill out the questionnaire, and you will get a response. I did exactly what she said and all I have heard is crickets. We have lived in Oregon for 18 years. In the 16 years we lived in Tualatin I was in the Tualatin and Wilsonville stores multiple times a week. And then when we moved to the Bethany area, we have been shopping at your store for the past two years. A quick check of my Fred Meyer MasterCard shows I spent $4693.00 in your store this past year. I have not been back to the Walker Road store since that visit on June 26th, and I currently do not plan to return. No longer will we be buying gas, groceries, and I will be moving our prescriptions away from your pharmacy. I have been thinking about what possible reasons Fred Meyer has come up with for your policy on masks. The only thing I can come up with, is that you are afraid of offending some selfish individuals who feel wearing a mask is tyranny. Was very glad to see see this location finally demanding face protection. I've stopped by several times over the last few months and had to turn around because they weren't controlling this at all before (major points loss for me). Wish I could rate it higher for finally stepping up, but looks like they forgot to tell the people at their gas station the rules. I get that it's warm outside and your job sucks, but you still have to wear a mask. Especially when you are coming up to my window to talk to me. I was trying to look at a microwave because I had been given a gift card, and not only was the surveillance obnoxious from the beginning, in the microwave aisle, every few seconds a huge screen beeped and told me I was being recorded. From the long lines, having to bag your own groceries (sometimes with the cashier just watching you), to aisles clogged with the online shopper trollies, it's just not worth the aggravation anymore. In my opinion, the prices haven't reflected the deterioration in service. Either go to Winco and get good prices knowing what you will get or go to market of choice and get good service. For the most part, over the years Fred Meyers has been good for me to shop at. I'm not sure if I am being petty here but the latest bag of pre-packaged and sealed Private Selection Heirloom Navel Oranges 3lbs/48oz only weighted 42oz on my food scale. That's a 13% difference in lesser product than advertised. About 9 oranges inside the bag. It could have had room for 1 or 2 more oranges. Or maybe the packer just assumed 3 oranges per lb and didn't check the actual weight. Maybe it was a one off thing... I hope this isn't a regular occurrence. read more

I am very shocked and disappointed with the experience I had over the weekend when I came into the Fred Meyers off Walker Rd on March 13th around 11:45am to purchase some trading cards in the customer service department. I saw my wife's cousin purchasing cards as well and spoke to her while I was in line. When it was my turn to purchase, the manager's first words were "your not buying any cards today." NOT, "how can I help you", or an explanation of why she denied me service. When I asked why, she said "I saw you talking to that girl that just bought cards, so you're not getting any cards." The manager assumed that we lived in the same household just because I spoke to her while in line. I know the company policy is 2 items per household so I wasn't breaking any store policy, but was still denied service for no reason. I felt that she was profiling the both of us as I saw many people purchase items with no questions asked. If the manager of "customer service" treats customers like this, this will go down to the employees that they are managing and it needs to be fixed. Never have I felt so disrespected and discriminated against for no reason. We actually made it out of the house within 2 minutes of our target time this morning, only to realize an hour later that we had left the toiletries at the house. All of them! But we waited until we got to Oregon to get what we needed, to save on that sales tax. I was just bummed at how high the prices were. I remember when Fred Meyer used to have the best prices around. But this location is convenient, there is lots of parking, everyone is friendly and the store is very clean. So for stars out of five.
