After Day 1 of training, my acro partner and I were able to see Daniel Gonzalez regarding our issues. Daniel and Tony who was at the front desk that day were very accommodating in seeing us even though we were 20 min late for our appointments (it was at the end of the day). Daniel used dry needling technique and was able to pin point the origin of the issue with not only the neck/shoulder but wrist pain on my right side, which came from some major knots in the forearm. I felt soreness the day after but much more open while training. After Day 2-3 of training, I noticed my calves were incredibly tight despite doing body work with Yoga Tuneup balls... including rolling and sustained compression during breaks. On the afternoon of Day 3 of training, I rolled my ankle (not major but enough to prevent me from training the rest of the day). Of course I called the clinic to see if Daniel would be available to see me that afternoon. Before I even mentioned anything about my calves, Daniel said on the phone well, depending on the severity of the swelling on the ankle he may or may not use needles there but often the origin on the issue is upstream like in the calves. So during the second session, after releasing the ridiculous amount of knots in my calves, Daniel offered a pro bono session during the weekend to follow up. I am here on a Sat afternoon writing this review onsite. Because of my rolled ankle on the left side, my right quad became really tight from using it more during the last two days of training. I am so so grateful to have found the Alternative Clinic and stumbled upon Daniel! I highly highly recommend this clinic!

She had severe pain in her belly for a month and Dr. Blankenship failed to investigate or diagnose or even order an ultrasound to diagnose what was wrong for a full month. *Severe belly pain is something that should be scanned immediately.* I've spoken to multiple doctors and nurses who have been shocked that she failed to even order an ultrasound immediately. My mom even went to urgent care because the pain was so bad, and Dr. Blankenship still failed to order any scans until my mom blew up at them. She finally ordered the scan the next day after my mom blew up, only to find Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. Now we have canceled their rip-off well-being subscription service for obvious reasons, but they are still charging a cancellation fee. *To a terminal cancer patient for canceling a "well-being subscription."* This is outrageous considering they might have saved her life if they hadn't failed to diagnose her. Please stay far away from these terrible people who have absolutely no morality.

Upon showing up in the cozy little office in the Flat Iron building I was a bit surprised to find out that my friend's acupuncturist was neither Chinese, nor old. Please don't take that as I sign of ignorance, it was just that the way my friend had talked about his acupuncturist and how skilled he was, and how he doesn't get migraines and yadda yadda yadda I just assumed that the guy must be Chinese and well seasoned. Call me captain ignorant. The Dr. (?) was named Evan and was very pleasant. A nice quiet guy, must have only been a few years older than me. He asked to see my tongue, and took my pulse, and then started asking me a bunch of questions. I was getting ready for some needles when the doc told me that I was in need of herbs, not acupuncture. He had this big chest of drawers and grabbed some things out of a few of them, mixed them together and told me to add a teaspoon of the mixture to hot water and drink it every other hour. Then he gave me the bill and I was shocked, it was jaw droppingly affordable. I was stunned, and happy, and took myself out to a nice lunch at the indian restaurant around the corner. So yeah my cough didn't clear up immediately, but I did start feeling better after the first cup of what I can only call "cinnamon sweat". Within a day or two my cough was completely gone and remained at bay. My plan is to call this guy whenever I start feeling ill, rather than when I'm in the throngs of death. I had insomnia for over two years.
