Prices start ok, then paperwork, insurance, all kinds of things you don't want to do that add to the cost of renting. Also glass door was broken for a month, every time you ask about it, oh they are going to fix that soon. Well, they didn't and I left. The glass door was the only way out to my boat, had to walk to the front of the building every time, gets ridiculous. So if you want to get one for a couple of months, you'll be fine. Pros: Good location, nice managers, new and clean buildings Been a customer of this place off and on for the past two years. They offer you the low rate to get you into the door, then WHAM!! literally two months later, there's a price increase of 25% or more! It's a shame how much and how often the prices increase. We moved in Jan 1 2025- $150; now, April 1 '25 $200 ($50 monthly increase) We are using their insurance- praying no problems arise for this company don't seem trustworthy because of their tactics. When questioned about the higher than what's reasonable price increase, Managers said they are 'keeping up' with other storage facilities in the surrounding area. To Space Shop Corporate Management: Just quote customers a fair price at the beginning of the contract; don't raise to astronomical prices directly after customers have moved in. It's a disservice to the folks who keeps your business going. They get lots of extra money from you, because it takes planning for the average (poor) person to reserve a moving company to move out of the now high priced unit. Space Shop Self Storage is absolutely amazing , they are super quick and helpful when you need them the most ! They outrank any other storage facility I've been to in years. Not bad pricing and good promotions, don't care what anybody says no matter the drive if I need a unit they will be the first I choose with . Thank you guys ! read more

The Pros: * Conveniently located * Secure * Temperature-controlled indoor storage The Cons: * Prices continue to increase once you've moved in. My original contract was $126.00 (plus tax and renter's insurance) per month for a total of $147.19 per month. My storage rental cost has increased significantly, and starting in January 2025, the price will jump AGAIN an additional $37.27 per month, for a total of $200.44 per month. That means over the course of a year, my storage unit rental costs have increased $53.25 PER MONTH. * Side-door which is closest to my unit has been broken and unusable for over 2 months, forcing me to go through the main entrance and walk a maze just to get to my unit. * The workers lie to customers. When I called on 7 November 2024 to ask about the side door and when it would be fixed, they said it had only been broken for "eight days" and that it would be fixed "in a few days" once their insurance adjuster comes out to look at the door and approve the repair. I informed him that what he was saying is untrue, that the door has been broken since at least the beginning of October. Needless to say, he lied twice. Firstly, about how long the door was broken (claiming "eight days" when it was broken well over a month), and when it would be fixed ("a few days" when it is still, as of 8 December 2024, still broken). * The door being broken is not only inconvenient and possibly makes the storage facility itself unsecured, but the most disconcerting part is that the worker blamed the delay in repairs on their insurance company. Since they force us to get renter's insurance and encourage us to use theirs for the convenience factor, one has to wonder if there will be months and months of delays if one should ever need to make a renter's insurance claim against their recommended insurance company. In short, if you want to continually be ripped-off by increasing prices, inconvenienced by broken doors, lied to by the employees, and risk not being able to make a timely insurance claim on the insurance they force you to get, then go to this place. Personally, I'm moving all my things out of this storage facility. There are much better places with quality customer service and lower prices. read more

There is a lot paperwork and insurance requirements. So bearing jumping through all the hoops to get a storage unit should have warned me there is more aggravation to go through when leaving. Make sure it's 10 days early for termination notification and no prepayments because they will keep your money. I prepaid [on the 19th of September for the following month of October (and mind you, this is supposed to be a month to month). We emptied the storage unit on September 22. I WASN'T looking for 8 days of September's prepayment back. I AM looking for October prepayment back and they are refusing saying they can keep any prepayments. read more
