It's easy to walk, the tour boats are novel, rental bikes are everywhere, there are tons of places to eat and shop, and you can even carry open containers of alcohol along the River level. Art museums, hotels, the courthouse, and more can be accessed from the River, so it's easily a huge part of the heart of downtown. The city keeps doing more and more to make the space memorable, so permanent art installations, parks, and other similar features keep getting added as time goes on. If you're visiting from out of town, I can't recommend adding the River Walk to your trip enough. It's absolutely worth experiencing for yourself.

Just in my few visits, I had lots of different experiences. The Riverwalk can be calm and beautiful or it can be fun and lively and sometimes it can be all of those things just depending on where you are within the walk. Also depending on when you choose to go, as I noticed a distinctly different vibe between my daytime and nighttime visits. As soon as you drop down from the street level into the walk, it's like you're in a whole new place. The water winds through the walk so you always have a lovely view and the calming sound of water with you wherever you venture on the walk. There are tons of shops and restaurants and shaded little spots where you can just sit on a bench and enjoy the ambiance. It's clean, well maintained and surprisingly easy to navigate, especially with all the people moving through it at any particular time. Even though some spots felt crowded, I was still always able to maneuver around without feeling claustrophobic. I think it's the openness of the walk and the fact that the river running right next to you create this open space above. Anyway, I had some really nice meals here and enjoyed some good shopping, but mostly just walking and chatting with the people that I care about while enjoying the beauty of my surroundings. You should definitely put the Riverwalk at the top of your list if you're planning on visiting the area as I can definitely recommend a stop here without hesitation.

The process for booking the tour was simple as it can be done online or in person. Patrons purchase tickets and are given a schedule of when the bus departs from the meeting point and of the sights the bus stops at. When entering the bus, patrons are permitted to sit wherever they choose on the double-decker bus. The Things elected to sit on the top deck in the baking hot sun (not recommended on a TX summer day). The tour is what you make it. You can craft your own route as the bus routes are designed to take you near the main landmarks in the city. By taking the hop on, hop off option, you can change routes and discover the city at leisure. The bus stops are multiple locations along the route, and the bus driver provides fun facts about the places along the bus route. While I didn't learn anything new about my city, The Things did. This is a great option for those looking to do something different in their own city or for those who are visiting S.A. for the first time.

I had a consultation with both the Dj and The wedding coordinator. I gave the Dj quite a few must play songs. I also had a very specific request for the bride and groom Entrance into the reception. It is something I've always wanted to do. I was not sure if we were going to be able to have mariachis. Which the mariachis Would be a part of the entrance if we had them . If not, I had a Plan B and c , since this was really important that it went right. I was very pleased. Everything seemed to be in order. Everyone seemed excited.. I was definitely looking for the magic touch and for that excitement and momentum to be brought to the wedding. We started to hit some bumps in the planning With certain unexpected life occurrences That were unforeseen. We had to push our date out. Which they charged a 250 fee. Not even our venue did that due to the circumstances But I understand. Tragically, I had a death in my immediate family. Unfortunately, we had to push back again. Vega did reschedule with another 250 fee. Once again, they were the only vendor that did that but I get it. It was in the contract.so I Ended up using them for Dj service with the Lighting package and the day of coordinating service. They sent me a video of their mariachi's, which seemed very Entertaining And vivacious. So I made sure to make that happen at the last Moment. Which I did, let the Dj know. The night of the wedding, I began to come down being very ill. Covid was floating around, quite a few of my guest left with COVID. I text the coordinator to let her know I was starting to get sick, but I was going to take every medicine I had in my Cabinet. She was very sweet and assuring, which is what I needed. I ended up staying up till 4:30 AM and woke up at eight am . One blessing of the day as I was able to hold off being sick until a Day later. However, the medication definitely made me swell up . Needless to say the day did not go smooth in any shape way or form . but we made it through the wedding. It was now time for the reception.. I'm very sad to say I was completely let down with Vega Dj service. The Mariachis were OK definitely not lively. Definitely not worth $800 for hour . Definitely not very friendly. And I'm very sad to say our Dj flopped. He seemed like he was just there to collect a check, and that was it. There was no uplifting momentum.. Definitely missed more then a few songs that I had on my List. The songs he played did not get anyone out on the dance floor. For the most part for a DJ, he was very quiet. My biggest disappointment was after the careful planning of the bride and groom entrance. He completely did not follow through with that.. That was something that was very important to me and that is a moment I can never get back. And all I could do was smile and hide my disappointment when I walked into the Reception. The coordinator I initially felt bad for. it was a hectic day. I will definitely take accountability and own. The mistakes I made some of it could not be helped. Like me getting sick. Unfortunately, There was a lot of confusion and a lot of misunderstanding with some of the other vendors. Which I was a bit surprised since I was told the coordinator did contact all of them and verify everything and had all the details mapped out. However, She definitely sold me at the bridal show that she can handle any unexpected occurrences. I was going to TEXT her the next day and tell her thank you and how much I appreciate her service. However, one of my bridesmaids informed me that she had a lot to say about me and how poorly I handled the wedding and made it very stressful for her. The coordinator was $1500 just for the day. As the bride, I really should have had little to no stress . But to say that to my own bridesmaid was very disrespectful. very unprofessional . It made me wish I have not used the service at all. I've had other vendors who have called afterwards and asked how I felt about the service and made sure I was happy And if there was anything else they could do for me. Which to me was fantastic and Truly much appreciated. It definitely made me feel like they appreciated my business and wanted my business still. Which they will absolutely get. I have never heard from Vega I was very surprised to have such a negative experience with them . It actually still kind of surprises me to this day.. I wanted to wait to leave my review until after I had some time to definitely calm down and not even think about a wedding for a bit . We decided we will do a Vow Renewal As kind of a redo and definitely learning from our mistakes. And unfortunately, using the Vega DJs for any service is another Mistake I will not repeat.
