    We've taken our two small dogs (a Shih Tzu and a Poodle-Pomeranian Mix) to this place several times. They've done good jobs, worked fast and it seems like they've been able to handle a lot of different types including difficult (howling) dogs. We take our dogs maybe every 6 weeks to 2 months depending on how fast their fur/hair grows.

    $90 grooming. Speed counts for something. In and out in 40 minutes! The dog looks great. Nice boutique of goods. Looked and smelled clean. Real nice people too.

    PLEASE do not take your dog here. This was our first visit here - my dog has a hack job of a cut and she is full of razor burn. There is no way a guard was used to cut of baby. She is traumatized. When we walked in to pick her up, the lady can be heard yelling at a dog, when I scooted closer to the bookcase, IT WAS MY DOG! She is a hair dog, she gets matted and she was matted but not to warrant the treatment she received and the horrible cut she received. We take her to Petsmart (of all places), same level of matt and we have NEVER had a problem, I just didn't feel like their wait time, so I figured I'd pay a little more money (a lot more money, more than I booked for - not worth it) and have no wait - it is my fault my baby is in pain, I can't imagine how she felt because we have never put her in harms way! I was so scared for her that I ran her to Banfield Vet after and they said that the amount of burn that she had there was no way a professional groomer cut our dog - if she was fidgeting they shouldn't have proceeded. This place is money hungry and they are not dog people. Also, not that it matters at this point, there is no way she was bathed in 45 minutes. By the time I am done complaining and reviewing, I hope this place is shut down: 1. 7 on your side 2. BBB 3. East Bay SPCA (I don't even know what they can do, but I am advising them) 4. State of California Attorney General - Consumer Division 5. Alameda County Animal Services Reviews on Yelp, Google, Nextdoor, and counting. Wrong owner, wrong dog.

    Misleading google page with van as first photo

    I did not receive service at SpaGo. I booked an appointment which lacked a description of where to go. Their google page is misleading as it pictures a van - so I assumed they were coming to my home (I had provided my address, which made it even more confusing) When I attempted to figure out why no one had arrived, they were very unresponsive and not helpful. Their phone line goes directly to a pre-recorded message. The customer service here is abysmal.

    My dog passed away recently and I can't believe I never wrote Nikki a review for all the work she put into Marco's grooming while he was alive. You see, Marco was a groomer's nightmare. He hated the bath, he hated scissors and he hated the sounds of the automatic razor. But every time he was given back to me he looked so handsome and the haircuts took less than an hour which astounded me every time. Nikki is incredibly sweet. The first time she groomed Marco was 2012 out of the Spago van and we remained faithful to Spago at their brick and mortar location until 2018 when Marco passed away. Marco passed away 9 days after his last haircut. He left this world in style! Thank you Nikki for keeping Marco's mustache on fleek!

When we first arrived -- before I left him to be groomed -- he responded with panic. I have felt such regret for not listening to him and the plea in his gaze not to leave him. I didn't post a review at the time because I felt the owner was nice and meant well -- but I can't drive past the business without a shudder.

I had provided Taj with clear instructions for my dog's grooming: poodle paws, teddy-bear face, and a summer cut for his body. However, my dog came back with visible razor burns, uneven patches of fur, and nails that weren't trimmed. I was also in absolute disbelief that his face was completely shaved, contrary to our discussion. Along with the traumatic experience for our dog, Taj's interaction with my husband was less than professional. Instead of acknowledging the mistakes, Taj was defensive and lacked courtesy. Given our experience, I am genuinely surprised by the high reviews Taj has received.

Front desk could be better. In my multiple experiences with them, it's felt more like checking boxes than providing customer service (over phone and in office). Won't get into the nitty gritty (because all other staff was great) but I was able to notice differential service between me and other owners. Everyone should be treated with equal respect and care, would not want this to be mistaken as bias. My pup had such a good time, I dont think he will associate the vet with something to be scared of. Also, the crew was very friendly to our dogs and made them feel more relaxed. They are busy, so sometimes appointments are pretty far out. If they give you the option, they can place you on a waiting list and if anyone cancels you get a text for that available appointment. Compared to our original VCA, they have extended hours which is very helpful. Thank you all for your friendliness and compassion!

We felt very stuck and unsure of how to navigate these behaviors prior to meeting with her. We worried that our dog being older would make change impossible, but that definitely isn't the case. I particularly appreciated how collaborative she was with us throughout the process-- she made sure to check-in with us each week about how we felt regarding her suggestions, how things were going when we were practicing training on our own, what interventions we were comfortable with or not, what behaviors we wanted to prioritize working on next, etc. Jess is also in general just a lovely and kind human who clearly has such a strong passion for the work she does. This made it really easy for us to trust that we were being guided by someone wise and with the best of intentions. Highly recommend.
