I can't recommend this groomer highly enough! She always does an amazing job with my miniature poodle, Felix. He has very sensitive skin, and she is incredibly accommodating of all my requests to make sure he's comfortable and well cared for. She gives him a low-maintenance cut that's practical for everyday life while still looking absolutely beautiful. The results speak for themselves--people regularly stop me on the street to ask where Felix gets groomed because he looks so good! The best part, though, is how much Felix loves her. Instead of dreading grooming appointments, he's genuinely excited to see her and happily trots off with her every time. Knowing he's so comfortable and well cared for gives me complete peace of mind. Recommendation: Do not come here. I've been to this groomer three times, and unfortunately, the quality has declined with each visit. Several of my friends with dogs have also chosen to stop coming here. This past Saturday was especially concerning. Our dog came home with a deep cut. The staff suggested this injury happened before grooming, even though we dropped him off first thing in the morning. When we picked him up, he was yelping, clearly scared, and we later discovered the cut ourselves. What has been most disappointing is the lack of accountability. When I reached out, their response was to suggest that I take my dog to a vet before they would even consider taking action. I'm not looking to pursue legal action--just an honest conversation and for the business to take responsibility for what happened. Dog grooming requires trust, and in this case, I no longer feel comfortable bringing my pet here. I hope future customers will take this into account when deciding where to take their dogs. read more

We've been loyal customers for years. Our dog had major spinal surgery in October and I notified OEG that he is on strict crate rest for 6 weeks and we couldn't make our appointment. When he was finally given the green light by the surgeon to be released from crate rest, I called OEG to have Nova groomed. When I dropped him off, I gave special instructions to hold him carefully and to keep him from being moved in ways that might hurt his back. They said no problem. When I came to pick him up, my Nova was being rough housed by a large standard poodle who was jumping all over him! Why wasn't he crated after grooming was completed, like the other dogs there? To add insult to injury, they charged us a fee for not coming within our usual 6 week window. They did not tell me when I booked it. And they knew he'd had major surgery (scar is very obvious on his shaved back). Very upsetting!! read more

Our cavapoo happily walks into to Oksana for her grooming because the grooming team is so gentle and patient with her. Pretzel's coat needs special care and the team really understands how to work with her soft, curly fur. Great addition to the neighborhood. They really know what they are doing with doodles for sure. OEG's groomings are thorough, careful and so skillful. They listen to your directions, preferences and how you want the dog to look. Doodles aren't the easiest dogs to trim and groom, but they are experts at it. My dog goes from hobo to hero every time! I've never left a bad review but we just had a pretty disappointing experience here. We came in for a walk in nail trim for our dog. The online price is $20 and the price on their chalkboard is $15. They charged us $25 at checkout. When we pointed out the pricing online and on the board, the person helping us said she has no idea why there was a disconnect but wouldn't honor the advertised pricing. They also said they charge more for large dogs (not advertised either) which we thought was strange since every groomer we've ever been to comments on how good our dog is at nail trims (he's a calm energy large breed mix) and a chihuahua, while small, might be significantly more difficult to handle. The nail trim itself was good but the shady pricing, false advertising and lack of consideration was unacceptable. read more

So happy I found a place in the neighborhood that is comparably priced to just about everywhere for my labradoodle. They do beautiful work and when I asked for an adjustment based on my style preference and needling to trim the face and tail a bit more, they let me come back the next day to make my preferred finishing touches. I called OEG, thinking I was getting Poodles a la Pamela. Instead, Oksana answered my question and request for nail trimming. Her shop on Glenview hadn't opened up yet, but since I was less than a 10min walk away, she agreed to meet me in front of her shop (which was still in construction). I've accidentally nicked my dog's quick before and it's made me less confident with cutting her nails. Oksana met Ellie (labradoodle, 11mos, will put up with baths and grooming but dislikes nail trimming and ear washes). And like a pro, she sat down in the sidewalk and I watched her do magic. She handled Ellie so patiently, even when Ellie was being a stinker. So this review is for a very last minute nail trimming request but I am excited to book Ellie here at OEG for future grooms.
