I met Hollyce almost 2 years ago. I was frazzled as a day old dog mom, with a 6 week old puppy in my arms, buying a bottle of wine at my local corner store. Hollyce noticed I might need help. She gave me her card and I called her the next day. She has helped me take care of (and learn to take care of) my baby ever since. She is incredibly flexible and reliable, and there is literally no one else I trust my dog with. Prior to Covid, I was working in the field as a social worker. Sometimes I would get stuck at work for hours past when I supposed to get home. On those days, Hollyce always came through, and would pick up Pancho or hang on to him for the entire day. Literally sometimes I wouldn't be back home until 8 at night. Now that I'm mostly working from home, I still ask Hollyce to pick up pancho (because we love her) and if she notices I'm stressed, she'll just hang on to him for me and he'll get a few extra hours of attention in (probably why she has so many dogs on certain days). She is exceptional as a dog walker and trainer, and just as importantly, as a human. We love her so much, sometime we will coordinate trips to the dog park on days Pancho doesn't go with her, just so we can have the joy of playing with her and her well-trained pack. Holly is so fabulous! I've never felt more comfortable leaving my cat with anyone, including my close friends, neighbors, and family members who see my cat on a regular basis. My cat has a ton of energy and is an escape artist--she wants to go outside so bad! Holly took care of our baby while we were away and was extra cautious when coming and going. She stayed for a few hours each visit to play with our cat and form a relationship with her while we were away. It felt so good knowing our sweet girl was in such good hands. read more

If I could put more than 5 stars I would... Hollyce has been an invaluable partner in my dogs' lives. Not to mention an extremely accomodating business partner in my life. She is one of the friendliest people you meet, and that same personality carries into the dogs she serves. My two Cavaliers are BFF with her dogs Boris and Grits. Everyday I come home to a note from Hollyce noting anything well, notable, and two tuckered out pooches. I also very often come home to an emailed photo of my dogs in action that day! (come on, how cute is that?!) I recommend Hollyce for any dog walking, daycare, or dog sitting needs you may have. She is my primary resource and is so incredibly accomodating. We found Hollyce on Yelp 6 months ago. We had just adopted a 7 month old exuberant shepherd/husky mix that needed to get out and about to burn off some puppy energy during the week. Hollyce gladly took Mojo on, taking him on off-leash trail hikes and helping us out with extended day care when we have to work late, or boarding him when we have to leave for the weekend. Hollyce walked my dog, Toby, for a year five times a week. I found her off Yelp after reading the wonderful positive reviews and she did not disappoint. Hollyce responded immediately, dropped by for a free consultation in person with Toby to understand what his temperament is like and how Toby would fit into her existing packs. Toby had some issues around other dogs, and Hollyce was able to not only work around those issues but improved Toby's temperament significantly over the course of the year, working actively on making him a more well adjusted dog. It also helped that Hollyce regularly sent me photos of Toby out on their hikes in the East Bay Hills. Hollyce always took my and Toby's needs into consideration and was very considerate and flexible when it came to adjusting her schedule to help me out with Toby. I am so happy that I chose Holly's Hounds for my dog Sam's walks/weekly outings. I have been home a couple of times when Hollyce has come to pick Sam up and I can tell by the way he unleashes his excitement upon seeing her that this is the most fun this guy has all week. Sam is a american bulldog/pit mix who loves to play. and play hard. And he gets that on his outings with Hollyce. She writes notes letting me know where they went that day and who he played with and gives him the treats I lay out when she brings him back. She is communicative, professional and totally laid back. Hollyce kicks butt man....seriously. Hollyce is a great dog walker. She loves our dog...and I'm sure she loves every dog she takes care of. I know we can trust Dots in her hands.....Not only does she take her out daily and tire her litlte bootie out....but she also often alerts us of any issues Dottie might be having.....soreness, red eyes, strange poo...possible bladder infection...you name it...she's on top of her dogs. As a dog owner that is an active participant in our dog Rex's exercise needs, I've meet, interviewed and observed about a dozen dog walkers and no other can compare to Hollyce. Hollyce gives Rex 110%, truly the extra 10% my husband and I do not think to do. When other dog walkers/sitters are sitting down at the dog park and chatting away leaving their dogs just laying around with the occasional burst of minimal play, Hollyce naturally is busy playing and walking around - making sure all her dogs get the true impact of the service she is providing. There is never a day, rain nor shine, that our dog, Rex does not come home well exercised with Hollyce. Every time I came home from work in the early evening, my dog was well-rested from his afternoon hike and in great spirits. Whenever I worked from home, my dog would jump up off his bed when he heard Hollyce pull up in front of the building and run to the door. I barely got a goodbye from him as he barreled out the door with her! There were a few times when my dog wasn't feeling well and Hollyce and team took extra special care of him.
