I used to love coming here. There was a younger girl that did my nails and she was nice to me, she did a stellar job, and the dip nails were smooth/even and as thin as possible. HOWEVER. The last two times I've been (once in December, once this week) have been terrible. I don't know the name of the lady who did my nails those times but she did not do a good job. She is not gentle, caused me to bleed on EVERY SINGLE FINGER (see attached photos), the gel is thick and lumpy, and she doesn't talk to me or offer me a drink or anything as the other reviews describe. Another weird thing is when the younger girl did my nails, it was always $40 even for dip. But somehow when this other lady does it , it's $47? Even on my natural nails? I don't understand the cost difference. It's just this one lady, if I knew her name I would put it in the review. Unfortunately won't be coming back here :( read more

I came to this salon with my cousin for a fun nail day, and unfortunately, my experience didn't live up to expectations. While my cousin had a pleasant time, my visit was disappointing. I had asked for a slightly more detailed design--not too complex--but the results didn't match what was discussed. The color turned out much darker than what I chose, even though I was assured it wouldn't. My nails ended up lumpy, and the thumbs were especially long and bulky Making this review extremely difficult to type lol. the French tips were even uneven, and there was no nail prep at all. I was also cut twice during the process, which made me bleed, and there was no apology, which made things uncomfortable. It took over two hours to complete, while my cousin with a similar design was done in half the time. There was a noticeable difference in how we were treated as well--my friend was greeted warmly and offered a drink, while I was not. The artist tried to fix the design using a different red shade, but it didn't quite work, and the chrome overlay Was not the correct color, she just picked a random one, and it ended up clashing with the starfish design. While a few of the starfish were cute, most didn't turn out as expected. in terms of price, I would say that it is priced very well. It's not overly expensive at all. So if you wanna get a very simple nail at a good price I would recommend it cautiously Although my own experience was not great, I recognize that some of the staff clearly provide excellent service--as seen from my cousins positive results. I was fortunate to be paired with a very experienced nail technician who made my entire visit enjoyable. I had asked for acrylic French tips with one accent design on my ring finger. After showing her a reference photo, she perfectly color-matched the design and carefully shaped my nails to my preference. The prep work was thorough, my cuticles were cleanly done, and the overall shape and smoothness of the nails were flawless. She was also very gentle, checked in with me throughout the process, and made sure I was happy every step of the way. My session lasted about an hour, and I was very pleased with the result. Unfortunately, my cousin's experience wasn't the same. She had a slightly more complex design, which included French tips, a chrome finish, and special accent nails. However, her technician seemed less experienced. The color didn't match the reference photo well, the nails were uneven and lumpy, and the technician did not prep her nails properly. To make matters worse, she was treated roughly and ended up with two small cuts from the process. Her appointment also took about two hours, while mine lasted one, despite our similar designs. In terms of pricing, it was fair for the services received. However, I would strongly recommend that anyone planning to visit asks for a more experienced technician to ensure a safe and high-quality experience. While I personally had a great visit and would return, I would be hesitant to recommend the salon without that caution, based on my cousin's unfortunate outcome. read more

I love this shop! I've bee here for full sets and for nail repairs. They are super friendly and do a great job. They also offer an array of beverages and constantly check on you yo make sure everything is going smoothly. The prices are also great. I definitely recommend. read more

This little neighborhood salon is my favorite salon, pedicures are wonderful and they are attentive to your needs. I always get dip nails and I request Kim or John to do them. They do a wonderful job on my nails! My only complaint some of the other techs don't seem as knowledgeable or skilled with dip powder. read more

I've been going to Spalon for a couple of years and they started out great. The past two visits have been perfunctory and disappointing. I had a dip manicure three weeks ago and the manicurist used a topcoat with sparkly flecks. When I asked her to use something else, she refused and said it would be extra to remove it. Today, my pedicure was just okay. The hot neck wrap was too hot, and it smelled like someone's food from the microwave where it had been heated. This delightful couple have a hidden gem right here in Pantego! my most recent pedicure with Cindy was amazing! i had an ingrown toenail I was not aware of and she removed it painlessly. John usually does my nails but every person I have had there is amazing. their salon is clean, sanitary, they have a huge selection of colors and various nail services. This place went above and beyond to treat us well. Refilled our drinks when we finished and did a fantastic job on our pedis. Didn't have to tell them about my big toes and the natural ingrown nails. They just took care of them. I had skimmed the back of my ankle and they cleaned, coated with neosporin and put on a fresh band aid. I was so surprised and thankful. My experience was not that great, They ran out of the color i wanted during my set, and just started to scrape it off and add different shades of the color none being what i wanted initially, also i asked for stiletto shaped and got square & coffin shaped instead, & it upset me that in 2022 a nail salon doesn't have any sort of jewels or diamonds or any other nail accessory. read more
