We then visited Step-by-Step pediatric dentist, and my daughter fell in love with the staff and Dr. Step. They were so friendly and comforting, explained everything to my daughter in fun terms that she understood and laughed about, and were incredibly skilled in their work. When we left after hee first appointment, my daughter actually said, "I can't wait to go back!" We just had her second visit where some work on her teeth was done, and we were impressed again. My daughter had zero anxiety, the work was done quickly and done well, and the staff made her happy to be there. This was the most incredible dentist I've ever taken my kids too, and 5 stars isn't a high enough score. The whole staff from check-in to check-out is incredible!

The dentist never touched me after he put Novocain in my gums. He had his hygienist replace all the fillings. Currently, my bite is off, and I can't even floss between the teeth the hygienist worked on. She was horrible. I then saw my TMJ specialist, who has an MD and has been dentist for 30 years, who told me I did not need these fillings replaced since there was no decay. Apparently, since the dentist never touched me those 3.5 hours, and his hygienist replaced all the fillings, there was zero decay under the fillings. If there was, the dentist would have needed to replaced the decayed teeth himself. Never go to this dentist. In my experience he provided a service that was not needed and charged my insurance a ton of money and took $600 out of my account for non necessary work. I'm sure most patients don't even realize what he is doing. Safe yourself heartache and never go there.

We were referred based on treatment he recommended but when my son's X-rays came back there was more than we even knew. My son woke up with a very slight cough but had no other symptoms when we arrived. During the cleaning, his cough worsened, and instead of being treated with patience and understanding, I felt we were spoken to in a rude and disrespectful manner throughout the visit. The dentist appeared visibly uncomfortable around my son despite already wearing proper protective equipment, which made the situation more stressful and uncomfortable for him. At one point, I also felt there was a lack of care while using sharp dental instruments near his face, which was very concerning as a parent. What upset me most was the way my child was physically handled. Because my son was struggling to open his mouth as wide as requested, the dentist became forceful -- grabbing his face and jaw in a way I found inappropriate and overly aggressive for a pediatric dentist. Children need patience, compassion, reassurance, and gentleness during dental visits, especially when they are uncomfortable or nervous. At one point, I even requested to leave mid-appointment because the situation had become so uncomfortable. I left feeling dismissed, disrespected, and extremely disappointed by the lack of professionalism and bedside manner. I have never experienced anything like this at a pediatric dental office before, and I will be transferring my son's care elsewhere. Parents should feel confident that their children will be treated gently and respectfully, and unfortunately that was not our experience.

She listened to me and really explained everything, leaving me to feel totally educated and all questions answered. I'm a teeth person and obviously want my kids to have the best smiles and this dentist has done that. They take their time and have pride in their work. This is such a fun spot for kids as well, the waiting area has a play area with cool toys. Then you go back and they have headsets for the kids with TVs on the ceiling so they're watching tv while they get a cleaning, that's pretty awesome. Yes it's an open concept so all the kids are in the same room to get their teeth cleaned but I don't see any issues with that personally. This place is extremely clean and the staff here always treats us with respect. At the end of the visits the kiddos get a little coin to select a prize out of the toy machine. Such a kid friendly place. I've taken my kids to the dentist since they were a year old so they're used to them but I think even if you have a child with anxiety this place is worth a try. They really cater to the kids and put their comfort first.

My two year old child has special medical needs, and I felt that the level of attention, concern, and respect for us was by far the best I could have asked for. The staff was professional and welcoming from the front desk, to the dentist himself (and everyone in between!) As a mother of a child with severe allergies, it is comforting to be able to have a real conversation where I didn't feel rushed, pressured, or like I was being forced into something that I wasn't comfortable with for my child. Scheduling over the phone was easy, and upon explaining the reason for our visit, we were given a time slot at the end of the day to ensure we could spend time with the dentist without interruption. We did a thorough conversation of the issues we were seeking a second opinion on, an oral exam, one x-ray (which we didn't get at our first dentist!) and a goodie bag for dental hygiene products and a childrens toy. The x-ray was shown to me, and I was also given the opportunity to look inside my child's mouth with assistance. I was never made to feel bad regarding the dental issues my child has, and was included in all aspects of the visit. I felt that the follow up plan was developed with my input and with significant care for my child and family. In addition, this dentist office is out of my insurance network, so I paid for service in full and was pleasantly surprised to discover that the costs are also reasonable and affordable. The office itself is clean, well lit, and conducive to a "playful" atmosphere for children. Having a private exam room for families that require more dialog made me feel at ease discussing my child's medical needs and history. Setting up the appointment was easy and received plenty of reminders leading up to it. Checking in was easy as well, bit of paperwork, but that's normal. The waiting lobby itself is nice, with a few toys and books for the kids and a movie set up as well. Love the theme here - definitely giving nature and PNW vibes! The assistant that helped with my son's teeth cleaning was great with him and really nice. The dentist himself was a little more reserved but still provided good care and advice. Of course my son loved the final touch of being able to pick out a toy at the end for doing a good job. I'm coming back in a couple of weeks with my older kids for their first appointments here and I'm sure it'll go just as well!

The woman has the personality of a potato. It is exhausting to deal with at every check out. My son had a small dental procedure. After they took him back I looked for the receptionist (who is wonderful) to let her know I was going to the car to leave my stuff. She unfortunately wasn't there and the lady at checkout happened to see me and aggressively tell me "you have to stay here".. my son is in the back why would I leave the premises? I still walked out and took my stuff to the car, came back and sat in the chair outside the office (the waiting room is small). This lady and her attitude came out of the office and went down the stairs to, I assume, search the parking lot for me. Just a really weird and unprofessional situation. The receptionist, dental assistants and dentists are great. The negative interaction at every visit just isn't worth it to keep coming here.
