With 30 minutes before my dinner reservation, I needed to find a place to kill time. Since every bars were for reservation only, I stopped by Spanish Steps Bar for a quick drink. The Pina Colada and The Long Island Frozen Margarita were ordered and both drinks were strong (super liked!) and gave me awesome brain freeze on a chilly night. I was very impressed with our bartender, as it was on a busy Friday night and it was literally a one-man show. He rang up customers and made all the drinks all by himself. Another overpriced bar. Except this one takes the cake. Spanish Steps is located outside the entrance to Caesars Palace. It's another one of those places that specializes in frozen cocktails. This is an embarrassing ripoff. It doesn't look like any special kind of bar. It has all those frozen drinks in rotating machines. They all look very colorful, which is one cool thing about this place. It's cool until you actually buy one. The 16 ounce cups are $17. What the fuck is that? It's a frozen artificially flavored beverage. They have the nerve to charge you this. I know it's at Caesars Palace, but this is a dive. The cheaply made shit costs this much so imagine what the good shit costs here. If you're coming past here keep stepping. It's too much. This place sucks. read more

Outdoor caesars bar below the bridge. We stopped here for a shot just before heading to OMNIA club inside caesars hotel. Tequila shots (double) was for $17. We wanted single shot so he spliced each into 2 for us. So, $17 for 2 people. Still it was cheap compared to what we would have spent in Omnia. It did give us a kick since we had beers and champagne in our limo ride Shot completed our desire of going senseless This place was not so lively and hence doesn't deserve more than 3/5. Crap service, I stood at one the "order here" stations for about 7 minutes. All the bartenders saw me and another guy standing there, but they just ignored us. Totally ignored, not even a hey can you move over here. I'm using a cane and mobility scooter to maneuver around because I just had miniscus repair surgery. I ended up having to weave my mobility / handicap scooter around to the other side of this round bar; no easy feat weaving in and out / around bar stools. Now I'm in line waiting my turn and then the bartender that served the guy in front of me decided to serve someone two windows down, oh yes that someone was a couple of really cute attractive girls. Then the other bartender comes up and asks the female customer to my other side ignoring me also. Luckily that other customer told the bartender that I was there first; he reluctantly them agreed to serve me. Ok, yes I'm handicapped right now; fell down a flight of stairs in Afghanistan last year and had surgery last week. I'm still a clean cut serving member of the military. I don't care about the cost of the beer; all the alcohol here in Vegas is overpriced. I care about how those two turds that pretended to provide customer service treated me, by totally ignoring my presence. read more

Since Las Vegas is Disneyland for adults, I couldn't imagine a more appropriate bar to kick off our trip. A long row of Slurpee-style machines dispense a fruity base to mix with your choice of liquor. Upgrade to premium? Yes. Add a float? Hell ya! Have a wicked hangover the next morning? Yep. This bar is part of the outdoor Caesar's complex along the Strip, so it would be even better on a warm night, but the heat lamps worked just fine. Our experience at Spanish Steps Bar was nothing special. I'm sure they have days when the weather is nice, and they're packed, and it's a fun time; but, unfortunately, our visit was not on one of those days. We stopped here randomly while walking through the outdoor area of our hotel, Caesar's Palace. The weather was beautiful, clear skies and sunny, but it wasn't too hot, so not many people were opting to sit at this bar and drink frozen beverages. (They have beer and cocktails too, but their main draw seemed to be the frozen stuff - they have lots of frozen beverage machines prominently displayed behind the bar.) We wanted a little break from walking, so we chose this spot even though it was dead. There appeared to be two employees working, and neither of them seemed happy about it. We ordered pretty quickly, and received our overpriced frozen drinks without issue. But, they weren't good. I paid for an extra shot of rum in my drink, but I didn't taste any rum at all. The drink just tasted like fake cherry. From our experience I would not recommend this spot. With so many places to check out in Vegas, I would skip this one. read more

Do NOT mistake this little hut outside of Caesar's Palace for the Spanish Steps Bar (which is right adjacent) - it is something waaaay better! Hankering for something to quench our thirst while roaming up and down the strip, we walked out of Caesar's and quickly came upon this nifty little stand. Manned by a single bartender, you walk up, get in line, peruse the menu of mojitos, margaritas, and some "adult" lemonades - then order. The options range from regular to exotic. My guy went with the standard mojito (which was hardly "standard"). Almost all rum, it was mixed immediately and they didn't skip the necessities, including freshly picked and muddled mint leaves. MMM. It was divine. I went with the cherry pink lemonade, which, to my shock, was essentially all cherry vodka, with a splash of refreshingly tart pink lemonade (likely thrown in more for color than anything). Poured over ice, it was easy to drink....perhaps a little too easy. We opted for the large size, which set us back about $18-$24 per drink, but at 24oz, we were set for a while - with possibly the best deal around. I highly recommend this little hut as your first stop on a hot Vegas morning (or afternoon, or evening). You won't regret shelling out some dough for these perfectly shaken, iced beverages. The flavors can't be beat and you can hang onto them as you browse inside the Forum Shops or head up to the Bellagio for some proper gambling. It's one of my first stops whenever in sin city. A good outside bar to people watch at on the Las Vegas strip! Bartenders are pretty personable and funny as well. As for the frozen drinks they are roughly $22 and are essentially just a Fat Tuesday octane, but in Las Vegas pricing / with less alcohol. We only had one drink here before venturing off elsewhere. Just outside of Caesar's Palace, this is a wonderful spot to sit and grab a drink while you wait to get into Hell's Kitchen or Absinthe! They have covered seating so it keeps you out of the scorching sun. The bartenders are friendly and help make great suggestions for drinks to suit any desire! read more

do NOT miss this place! i was so tired of syrupy soda cocktails they shill in the casinos that i almost passed this up as more of the same... lemonades, margaritas, mojitos... until i got a look at what the bartender was doing... is that a real lime? and another? and another? are those real mint leaves?? is that a handful of REAL blackberries? yes, folks, it is the real deal. everyone in line with us was a regular - 'the black dragon is my favorite' 'my wife makes me walk here from the Flamingo for these drinks.' and so i was sold. i had the black dragon (i think?) mojito with rum, blackberries, mint, lime, and soda. so refreshing. sister-in-law had the cocoberry with mint, lime, strawberries & blueberries (all real!), and husband got a fantastic margarita. sure, they're pricey. but they are also gigantic and far superior to anything you'll find in a casino bar for about the same price. and the line moves slowly, because everything is juiced & muddled from scratch. make the effort & go out of the way for these. well worth your while. read more

This little, unassuming hut was the highlight of my day. Luckily there was absolutely no line when my friend and I approached, so we were able to get our drinks quickly. The bartender guy was really nice and struck up a conversation while he made our drinks as we watched. Some tonic, lots of ice, lemon/limes, mint, berries, and alcohol. We both had mojitos - I had the one with strawberries, and my friend had one with blackberries (I don't remember the names). I remember liking mine better - absolutely fresh, fruity, minty and STRONG. Totally worth the money - and you will not find a better mojito within the vicinity. After we ordered, a huge line formed. Keeping in mind that a trip to Las Vegas leans on plenty of things to get excited about it, it can be quite odd when a single drink happens to crawl up near the top of the list. The glitz, the glamor, the lights, sounds, people watching, food, shows, etc, etc and I can't wait to get here so I can have a mojito from this place. Perhaps that is a reflection on me and my vices but I'll own that for this purpose. This little hut is fantastic. A nice, short menu with drinks as hand crafted as you can get, right in front of your eyes. The bartender is enjoyable every time we come and visit her, very personable and obviously puts much pride into her work. I like the east-coast (I'm gonna guess Boston) accent showing through a bit despite that she said she's been in Vegas 34 years. The surrounding area is one of the prime spots for people watching on the strip and its also perfect for obtaining a little sun. Are they cheap? Nope, but in Vegas what is. Are they delicious? Absolutely they are and they will last a lot longer if you just sit down in the sun and relax while you enjoy it and make an event of it because that's what this drink deserves. read more

I hate this place. The bartender who helped us was a total assuming jerk! Spanish Steps may have a nice location on the strip, but I've been treated better. I decided to stop here with my father, so we both could have a Diet Coke, which would be followed shortly by at least one beer for myself. It was a hot Tuesday afternoon this past May, the bar was uncrowded, and there were plenty of seats. We both sit down at the bar, order the two soft drinks, and immediately the bartender proceeds to make the drinks in to-go cups. I didn't ask for the drinks to-go, nor did you ask if I wanted them to-go. My intention was to sit there out of the sun, enjoy the drink and after a couple of sips I would order a beer to accompany the soft drink, but nope, we apparently were unwelcome if we order only soft drinks. The bartender hands us our to-go drinks, which basically is like saying "here you go, now leave" and tells us it will be $8.00. WTF? I'm floored! $4.00 for a 16 ounce soft drink is outrageous! Would I be complaining if we had been served correctly, been given refills on the soft drink and felt welcomed so I would've gotten my beer- absolutely not. So we paid the tab, didn't tip the bartender a cent since clearly his level of service was on par with a fast food restaurant and walked on to another bar where I was treated right. Just a side note, but at the next bar I got another Diet Coke, but also drank three beers and on top of the 20% tip I gave on that bill I also handed the bartender the tip the idiot at Spanish Steps should've received for the $8.00 tab! Spanish Steps is a cool spot to hang out over drinks on a beautiful/sunny and hot day. It's just outside the entrance to Caesars and right next to Serendipity 3. They have a good selection of Mojitos and can make them with different flavours. My mate had a few of those and he said they were pretty good. I like it. It's quite pricey yes but you should at least try one of their mojitos I reckon.. read more

If you get as far as this bar, handily located on the way from Caesar's to Bellagio, don't stop at the bar itself but go about 20 feet south to what is described on the resort map as 'Lemonade and Hot Chocolate Stand'. The lemonade stand appears to be sponsored by Bacardi. Unlike Spanish Steps and many of the other 'outdoor' bars on the strip, they eschew low-quality slushies with their artificial colourings and excess sugar and mix real cocktails. I started with a Mojito, which was perfect in the 40+ degree heat. So good, in fact, that we went back twice more over the weekend. Others in our party enjoyed their margaritas and fruit lemonades. Each drink is hand made to order with freshly-squeezed limes, fresh mint, fresh berries and generous measures of spirits. They come in 16oz or 20oz sizes and are great value for what you get. So zero for Spanish Steps, but 5 stars for the lemonade stand! read more
