I can say that while Kumon was cheaper, the assessment of my kids was majorly underwhelming. I was told how extremely behind they were, which I knew was not true. It made my kids feel bad. Kumon also required pages and pages of homework. My kids felt the place was creepy. Not for us! Mathnasium sold me on the approach of targeting areas and working on a well rounded picture, while allowing a little time at the end for kids to show their current homework & make sure they're on the right track! I love receiving emails when my kids have completed mastery checks on skills & when they level up! My kids also love getting "stars" and completing "cards" to receive rewards, from chapstick to Disney tickets (depending on how much they save up for). The fun environment is great! I recently enrolled at Conejo Valley adult education for a certificate program for office manager in order to get back up to speed in order to support myself after my divorce is final. It is a scary time... but fortunately for me, Chris Wilson has been my teacher for the first two classes in my certificate program. He is so thorough and makes sure every student knows what they are doing. I suddenly feel empowered. Because I am not just going through the motions. I am re-learning what I knew so long ago after many years. The class projects that he gives us proves to me that I actually know what he's teaching. I did not think I would be able to get back what I have lost. It is apparent that Mr. Wilson loves his job and he truly is rooting for his students and is willing to help them however he can. I recently had an early meeting with my attorney during class hours which I could not change. So I ended up being over an hour late for class. He was so accommodating and came to me during class break and caught me up on everything that the rest of the class had gone over that morning. Mr. Wilson has been my instructor for the first two classes for my certificate program. I can only hope that as I move forward, any other instructor that I encounter at the Conejo Valley adult school will be as knowledgeable, enthusiastic and patient as he has been with the entire class.

The center has taken such incredible care of our kids over the past few years and we're so glad our son still has another couple of years. The staff is amazing and it truly feels like home. Our daughter is currently with Ms. Cherry in the pre-K class and we love her so much. She's a great teacher and has a wonderful way of keeping the kids on task. She's the perfect combo of kind and loving but also keeps the kids in line and on schedule. Miss Irina is the director and she's basically family at this point, as is her Assistant director miss sandra. They do a great job at always being available to talk and support any needs you or your child might have. They never make you feel rushed or like your opinions aren't important. We also have had such a great experience in Miss Kim's 2 year old class. She's amazing and you can tell she truly loves her job. Thank you Moorpark Kindercare for the years of love, supporting and teaching our kids, and providing a truly nurturing home for our kids as they grow.

They made a spot for our TK daughter that didn't exist as they felt so strongly about welcoming our daughters into the community during this tough time. Our girls loved their school, home and community that all burned in the fire... They were really not wanting a new school, so they were VERY tough sells. I was very nervous about how this would all go. They were very resistant to starting a new school. They were the hardest won over demographic. But, within a couple of days they were completely won over. I am serious when I say it was only a few days. They were so skeptical and heartbroken. They didn't want to like the school. They didn't want to like their new teachers or friends. They wanted to go home. It was unreal how this school changed them. My TK daughter comes home every day and says "it was the best day EVER mom!" I completely get why she says it. Every day is something magical . I can't quite put into words how many amazing opportunities these kids have, their budgeting is insane. I can't believe how many things they do. I would go into all of it but it would take all night. Their teachers are truly the most incredible and gifted teachers. They meet the kids where they are at with all the patience and love in the world. My husband and I are constantly in amazement--- our kids have been through the worst of it and yet every day at this school brings a smile to their faces. I have NEVER heard a negative thing about the school. Every single family feels the same way we do... this school is incredible. The warmth, the love...is unbelievable. Besides the current families-- every time I tell someone where my daughters go to school it is unanimous across the board... It is something to the effect of "Oh my friend's kids go there and they love it!" or "My neighbors go there and I have heard incredible things!" People always go out of their way to express their extreme love of the school personally or things they have heard about it. I get the hype. Truly. Amazing. We went and toured so many schools.but this school is just on another level. Rich Gregory leads this school with incredible love and care and it shows at every level.
