The dust had really built up by the time I started looking for a maid. Most cleaning services seem to prefer setting up jobs online, but I like personal contact. I spoke with Veronica, who came out to assess the job in person. This was a plus for me, as I didn't want a cookie-cutter quote based solely on square footage. On the appointed day, three ladies worked non-stop for five hours spotlessly cleaning two bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchen, dining room & living room. They brought all their own equipment and cleaned everything; bathtub, oven/stove, refrigerator, windows, Venetian blinds, ceiling fans, etc. All done cheerfully and efficiently at a very fair price. Afterward, I imagine these hardworking ladies were exhausted, but they didn't show it, they never flagged. Very dedicated and admirable. I've never hired a maid service before so maybe I'm naïve, but the results are remarkable and a big boost to my spirits, as if being led out of a dim room. Jess showed up first before the rest of her team joined her throughout the afternoon. The whole team was lovely and personable. When I inquired about the discrepancy, I was told the maid said she was here 5 hours. I took screenshots of my security footage showing 3.5 hours and sent to them. They wanted to offer a credit towards future services but only for one hour - not 1.5 hours. They then said they have a four hour minimum for cleanings which had not previously been disclosed and Amy who I spoke to could not show where this was listed. I wouldn't need 4 hours for ongoing cleanings after the first cleaning so I had to cancel any future cleanings. As for my refund for the time they charged but didn't work, I'm pursuing that via my credit card company.

Jay from Fresh Tech called to say the cleaners agreed with "the estimate". They texted me in 4 hours they were finished. I said okay I'm paying you for 4 hours, not 6. They refused and gave me some nonsensical story about labor hours. Got home after work and did a wipe of my kitchen floor and the paper towel was black! See below. Their ridiculous explanation is that is for a "first pass" clean. Additional passes would require additional time and labor!! But they left after 4 hours and I paid for 6. Had explained I need the paint GONE.SCAM company. Don't fall for the hype they give you on the phone. Don't care about their clients and I am a neighbor. Care about separating you from your money. Charged my card MORE than quote -$559 Edit-Owner acts as if I haven't already complained to Fresh Tech. I offered to settle for $400 and they proceeded to charge my card $559. All I got was excuses and refusal to adjust the price. NO surcharge was ever mentioned or put in writing. They have my number, they can call me to rectify the overcharge.

The ladies just packed up and left without letting me look around first. It was probably the worst cleaning I have ever had. Very basic things were missed, like a whole bar top still had crumbs and dust on it and the showers and tub were dirty and dry. For a deep clean it was just really unacceptable. As a business owner I would think Maria would be mortified and apologetic, which she wasn't really. It was odd. She did give me a discount which I appreciated. She encouraged me to book again with different cleaners, but when I messaged her to do that, she never responded. Bad business practices. Would not recommend even if her prices are lower than competitors.
