Regret to say that I have to update my review based off of other findings; previously, I did mention the lack of cleaning on some window blinds/sills but my partner ended up finding more areas that were neglected. It turns out that most of our kitchen cabinets weren't cleaned so he ended up cleaning it himself (wasn't able to take photos because he didn't think of it at the time.) The most noticeable thing we've found thus far was our oven- we were going to use it until we found residue(?) of some sort; not sure if it was from the particular cleaning spray they used, though I know this wasn't missed at the time of service since I recall this being one of the first things they started to clean. We ended up cleaning this ourselves as well. Edit to add: the reason for this update a month later is because as a first time homeowner, newly moving in, we're slowly furnishing everything and settling in- which is why we're just finding these other things just now. This updated review isn't intended to deter any new customers, but more so to let future ones to look more thoroughly as I should have done. I can't comment on the service because nobody showed up. Made a short notice appointment, which they were able to accommodate, I thought that was pretty cool. They were supposed to be there at 10am. I was at work and my wife texted me around 10:30 to make sure it was for today and it was 10am. I had her text the contact person (about an hour after they were supposed to have been there) and they said the person who was supposed to come was sick. Ok?? That's fine but when were you going to tell me?? Nobody called me, no message through Yelp. And they can't send anyone else until next week. No thanks. There are some hiccups here and there with her team (due to operating a new business), but Lena immediately owned up to it and showed up again to re-do the job personally to ensure the job is done well. *POTENTIAL NO SHOW* I usually don't write reviews on Yelp but I have to for Sparkle & Shine. I'm absolutely baffled at their customer service and communication. I called Friday at 1:10 to see if they have an appointment to clean my studio before I moved out and they were able to schedule me for Tuesday at 3. I wanted a quote to see how much it would cost and they said they'll send someone over on Saturday at 10 but no one showed up. On the day of the appointment, I called at 10 to see if someone was still coming and why no one showed up on Saturday and they said they didn't put me on the calendar and someone will show up today to clean and give me a quote. Fast forward to the appointment time, no one showed up. I called 15 minutes after the appointment time and the person on the phone said she'll call someone and figure it out. I never got a call from the person back. I tried calling multiple times again but it felt like they were declining my calls or blocked me just because I wanted clarification. It's amazing how terrible their communication and customer service is. Will never ever contact this company again and would NOT recommend this company as there's a potential that you'll get ghosted. read more

Would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. They supposedly cleaned for 5 hours in an empty house that we just purchased. Never cleaned anything. Don't know what happened for 5 hours but nothing was done. Contacted the company. They said they would send someone to do it the following day. Never showed up. Would not answer the phone or text to try to resolve this. Finally we had to ask for a refund. Would give 0 stars if I could read more

Absolutely not why I wrote the review in the first place, however the owner indicating they sent a "full refund" is not true and should be noted. *** To be honest I chose sparkle and shine out of all the options because they gave me the lowest quote - so it is probably my own fault since you get what you pay for. I hired them to clean the two bathrooms in my home. Small bathrooms, nothing crazy. They came the first time and did OK. Nothing to write home about, but they were clean enough and she had me check the downstairs one before she left to make sure I was happy, which I appreciate. Upon payment time though, she gave me a price $20 higher than the quote. I asked what had changed and she quickly went back down to the quoted price. Miscommunications happen so I shrugged it off. I was ready to schedule them again and did so two weeks later. Appointment time was 9 am, at 9:15 no one was here still so I text. No response. Finally I got a call from a number I did not recognize. It was them needing to reschedule because someone called out. I was a little irritated with the late notice and having to shuffle everything around, but I understand things happen so I rescheduled per their request to today at 10 am. Again no one shows up. I called at 10:30 and no one answers but I get a response text from Samantha. I advised what the issue is. Samantha advises she will check with the cleaner. It is now almost 2 pm and I have messaged 2 more times with no response. I understand issues come up and sometimes schedules need to be changed, but this is now the second time something has happened, and now they aren't even responding. Very disappointed. Upon getting a quote from This business I set up a day and time for them to come grab my carpet. They asked for no explanation when I got the quote and made the appointment. A person called me the day of asking about the carpet and when I told them that it was a very very large carpet and it was shag and it was white he said OK. They did not come in the timeframe that they said they would. So when I called them an hour after the timeframe they were supposed to pick up the carpet they said it was already picked up. I looked at my camera and it had NOT been picked up yet. Then I get a text message from someone saying they would not be picking up my carpet because it was too large. There was so much lack of communication however, there was communication that's why I'm giving it two stars. Pretty disappointed and now my carpet has been sitting outside my house all day today getting more dirty and a possibility to be stolen. :( I hope it's there when I get home. read more
