This is the second time I have used Olivarez. house cleaning for move in and move out cleaning. When I say you get amazing quality, I mean you get every nook and cranny cleaned and taken care of. They are the absolute sweetest. If you say what you need done, they will take care of it. I needed a marijuana smell removed, as well as a cat urine pneumonia smell removed and they did. Choose another business! I would like to start this review by letting you know I am a very reasonable person. I specifically wanted to chose a small business vs. a corporation for house cleaning because I try to keep my money local. I ignored one of the bad reviews--I wish I hadn't. I contacted the owner and clearly explained I wanted a deep clean of the full downstairs (including the 1/2 bath, kitchen, living room, etc.), master bedroom, small laundry room, and upstairs floors. I told her it hadn't been cleaned in a while and confirmed that three hours would be enough. I even offered to pay for more time, but she declined. I know the state it's in which is why I hired someone. When she arrived (late), she shamed me about the house and made a rude comment about me moving in. While there she said, "oh noooo, we can't do this in three hours." Whatever. So I told her to focus on the downstairs since I had an upcoming event. In three hours, they cleaned one bedroom and 1/2 bath, (they did not do the shower because it was "too moldy"), one small laundry room (which I told to leave last), and one bathroom. The WHOLE downstairs was untouched, kitchen untouched, floors untouched, living room/dining room untouched, and even the bedroom they did clean was obviously not mopped. I contacted the owner and she told me that this was "reasonable" and that "I don't understand cleaning." I have used housecleaners in the past and never had this experience. Her response will be that the "house was too dirty" and that "I didn't send pictures." All this is incorrect, as seen in the photos. Please choose an honest business over this one. I work hard for my money as I'm sure you do too. Most importantly: nobody needs shaming about their dirty house when they are doing something to get it clean. read more

I appreciate the very friendly and quick response with requests. The order was to clean the shower especially the built-up grime in shower area. The job eventually got done with extra sink and mirror cleaned, but I would have preferred that time used to finish the whole shower area. Everything in the shower was cleaned except the shower head. And when I did an inspection before payment, there were a bunch of brown/black areas still that needed to be sprayed and scrubbed. Young man did a great job scrubbing. Eventually, the job got done but 1 hour job became 2.5 hour job. Time for job could have been reduced if hard to clean areas were hit with bleach first instead of after my inspection. And I had to spend extra time cleaning my carpet and tiles since worker walked on my carpet with his dirty cleaning shoes. I asked Armida if her workers would have shoe coverings and she said they would. Looks like there was a lack of communication considering areas I did not request were cleaned and those I requested were not completely clean. I recommend anyone who wants to do business with them to make it clear upfront what is to be cleaned not just with Armida, but with the worker even if that is extra work. And make it clear what your standard of clean is since that was apparently confusing as well. So be mindful of that. Otherwise, very friendly staff. read more

I needed a crew for a deep cleaning of a home that had accumulated years of dust and grime. I found Olivarez on Yelp and easily made an appointment through texting with Armida. On the day of the cleaning, I needed to change my appointment time, and fortunately, they were flexible and accommodating. Armida has excellent communication skills. She listened to my priorities for the 3-hour time frame and clearly explained what they could and couldn't do (e.g., they don't move furniture but will clean the spaces if we move the furniture). Regarding the actual cleaning, Armida and her team did a stellar job. They cleaned the soap scum off the shower and tub, dusted the doors, door frames, picture frames, surfaces, and vacuumed and mopped the floors. It was a lot to handle, but they tackled it right away. I hired Olivarez House Cleaning to clean a rental property for me. Two ladies arrived during the scheduled appointment time. They seemed pleasant at first, but my first red flag should've been when the owner asked me if I was leaving. I had specifically requested that the lower half of the walls be cleaned. To my surprise, they used the same wet mop on the walls that they used on the floors. At no point did they use a vacuum on the floors. I had to personally point out obvious issues, including toothpaste still staining the inside of a bathroom drawer, food stains on the walls, dirty outlets, food residue in the refrigerator, stains on the door, and a dirty kitchen counter. After they left, I did a more thorough inspection and found dog hair all over the walls--clearly a result of using the same dirty mop on both surfaces. They didn't pick up any debris from the floors; instead, it was just pushed around. I was ultimately forced to hire another cleaning service to come in and clean up after them. To top it all off, the owner told me afterward that the lady she brought with her had diabetes and couldn't see! Why would you bring someone who can't see to clean a home, especially when cleanliness and sanitation are the whole point? If you want a clean and sanitary home, I would not recommend hiring this company. I also asked for an Invoice to submit to my tenant, since she only accepted cash. As to her response: If you hold strong negative views about individuals from certain backgrounds, perhaps you should reconsider accepting jobs from those clients. Professionalism requires treating all customers with respect, regardless of their background. read more

I first had Armida come in to do some extra deep cleaning for me and was really pleased with what they did. Then, my regular house cleaner quit on me so I hired Armida to clean my house every two weeks. She comes with two additional people so they are able to cover everything that needs to be done fairly quickly. They do a great job. The house is clean and smells good when they are done! She also pays attention to small details that need to be done such as light fixtures and cleaning the front of cabinets. read more

All of my questions were answered and I booked her immediately. I left her and her team a list of things I was looking to have done in our house and when I got home she was very up front about what services they do not provide as well some things she came across she wanted to show me. She has excellent communication and does such a fantastic and thorough job. My husband and I are so impressed with her that we have her come monthly which is less than her initial first time cleaning price which was still not bad at all! She gets the job done and has our house looking and smelling so clean every time. She's very good at what she does and she's very reliable. She has multiple methods and definitely won't let you down! Armida and her crew currently clean my place once a month. I called for an initial quote and she was prompt in scheduling a time to visit the property and offer a reasonable price. We set up for an initial 3-hour deep cleaning for $300 and a follow up monthly 1.5-hour maintenance cleaning for $165 per visit. I pay by cash or personal check each time. Armida and the Olivarez House Cleaning team is always timely, responsive, friendly, and thorough. I echo the sentiments of another review, in that I am always in awe after they clean. It's refreshing and it was a huge help for me postpartum when my mobility, time and sleep was limited. She and her team are also friendly with my toddler and infant, as well as kind and conscientious about my cat. She disclosed to me that she and her team are all fully vaccinated and keep up to date with vaccines and COVID testing. She encouraged me to cancel even on short notice if any of our household get sick. That was quite the reassurance with the young children in the house that we would have health-conscious people around. In addition, I like that she uses a calendar service to send scheduling, rescheduling and cancelling options, as well as calendar *.ics invites so I can have it on my calendar. Scheduled a move out cleaning a few weeks in advance, then cancelled about 15 minutes later when we found a more reasonably priced service. Asked for refund of our $50 deposit immediately and again when we called back a week later, but never received. Both times we were told that someone else in the company would have to process the return, but it never got done. read more

Armida is the best. She was very upfront and honest about the current state (which btw wasnt a trash hole) of my apartment and what she was going to do/how long it was going to take. This is a family owned business and her and her son did an amazing job. They were so professional and thorough with their work. They saved my weekend. I get a lot of anxiety and feel overwhelemed with the amount of housework and when she finished my apartment, I felt like I could get so much done. I reached out to Armida Sunday and told her about what I needed, she suggested that she come to my apt to take a look. I loved the work they did. I had to text my requests because I was at work and my mother stayed at my house to pay. When I got home I did still have a load in the washer and dryer which is the reason for the 4 star review but as far as everything else, they followed my instructions. My bathroom and master closet were straightened up and cleaned. Clothes were folded as requested and my room smells lovely. They did a very good job. I didn't have a personal interaction but felt good when I got home and my room looks waaaaaay better than when I left for work this morning ! I would give a 5 star rating but again I still have to fold the clothes in the dryer and dry the ones in the washer. read more
